Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII SMP N 3 Kasihan ditinjau dari kerjasama siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar IPA siswa. Penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment.  Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, teknik angket, dan teknik dokumentasi. Instrument tes berupa soal pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 30 soal dan instrumen angket berupa pernyataan yang berjumlah 20 butir. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh Fhitung = 9,315 dengan p = 0,004 dan rerata hasil belajar sebesar 20,192, rerata hasil angket sebesar 77,846. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model TGT dan ekspositori. Berdasarkan rerata hasil belajar dan hasil angket, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VIII di tinjau dari kerjasama siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan hasil belajar IPA kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, (2) perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelompok keterampilan berkomunikasi tinggi dan rendah, (3) interaksi strategi pembelajaran dan keterampilan berkomunikasi terhadap hasil belajar IPA, (4) efektifitas strategi pembelajaran active learning tipe Index Card Match. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas VII SMP N 4 Sewon tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperiment. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, teknik angket, dan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Anava dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, (1) ada perbedaan hasil belajar IPA yang sangat signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan FA hitung = 44,318 dan p=0,000, (2) ada perbedaan yang sangat signifikan antara hasil belajar IPA pada keterampilan berkomunikasi tinggi dan rendah dengan FB hitung = 259,557 dan p=0,000, (3) ada interaksi yang sangat signifikan antara strategi pembelajaran dan keterampilan berkomunikasi terhadap hasil belajar IPA pada FAB hitung = 7,064 dan p=0,010, (4) rerata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol sehingga strategi pembelajaran active learning tipe Index Card Match lebih efektif.

Abstract

Science is a field of study that is closely related to daily life. However, students are less skilled and have difficulty connecting science concepts with problem-solving in their environment. This article is a Define phase that aims to describe how to apply life skills and understand, feel, and trace from the teachings of Ki Hajar Dewantara on integrated science-based digital worksheets in science learning. Data collection techniques using documentation that is from the study of literature about integrated science, lifeskill and the teachings of Ki Hajar Dewantara. Integrated science-based digital worksheets that are developed by applying life skills and ngerti, ngrasa, nglakoni can be displayed with a variety of innovative learning models. Application of the steps of the model will be able to bring up the type of life skills that are developed and also develop tringo in the learning activities of students.

Abstract

This research has been done to know how STAD as a model of study could increase activity and achievement the students of natural science education department on 2010/2011 of academic year and also to know the statement according to the model. This research was begun on observing class condition to identify problems. This was a class action research which had cycles to improve class condition. Each cycle was consist of planning, doing and observing, reflecting. Planning action used STAD model. The model included announcing model’s aim, studying college’s topics, grouping, tasking of groups, individual evaluating and rewarding the winner group. The winner was the most of points. Total points were equals of discuss point and average of total individual evaluating points in group. The instruments of this research were lecture-observing papers, students-observing papers, evaluating papers and statements papers.The research’s result showed increasing of students’ activity. At first discussion on first cycles, there were 38.7% students active, at last discussion on second cycles there were 90.3% students active. Average of students’ achievement has increased 20.6 points, i.e. from 61.8 to 82.4. According to the students’ statements of model showed that they liked STAD because they could get the topics easier and improve students’ activity by making life-class in order to increase achievement.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to improve students’ creativity and science learning outcome at VIII C grade students through a learning experiment method in MTs N Maguwoharjo in academic year 2014/2015. This study was Classroom Action Research (CAR). Observation, test, field notes, questionnaire and documentation were used to gather the data in this study. The results of the study showed that after implementing the experiment method at VIII C class in MTs N Maguwoharjo, the students’ creativity and science learning outcome increased. In pra cycles, the average of the creativity indicator was 49,66%. In the first cycles increased 13,03% became 62,66% and increased to 18,71% became 81,40% in the second cycles. The science-learning outcome increased from 56,97, before the treatment to 66,03 in the first cycles, and became 77 in the second cycles. The number of students who passed the passing grade before the treatment were only 10 students or 31,25%. In first cycles, there were 16 students or 50,00% who passed the passing grade, and there were 25 students or 78,13% in the second cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to increase the activeness and result of science learning through cooperative learning model with type Two Stay Two Stray at class D seventh grade student’s on odd semester of MTs N Maguwoharjo in year 2014/2015. The kind of this research was Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this research were class D seventh grade students of MTs N Maguwoharjo which amount to 33 students. The object of this research was the activeness and result of science learning through cooperative learning model with type Two Stay Two Stray. The data collection tecnique of this study was conducted by observation, field note, tests and documentation. The result of this study showed that, the student’s activeness and result of science learning have increased. This was indicated by the percentage of the activeness before the model conducted amount to 46,63% become 69,77% on first cycle and increased more as 85,15% on second cycle. The students learning result also have increased. The average  of students grade from the first grade as 62,35 on the students (36,36%) that fullfilles KKM increased to 67,42 on 22 students (66,7%) that fullfilles KKM on first cycle. Where as on second cycle the average of students grade increased to 80,24 on 25 student’s (75,76%) that fullfilled KKM.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the tendency of students communication skills, attention to parents and learning achievements of natural science students of SMP Negeri 10 Umbulharjo District of Yogyakarta; and (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between students communication skills and attention of parents with learning achievement either independently or together. This research ex post facto quantitative certain model implemented in SMP Negeri 10 District of Umbulharjo Yogyakarta, this study bersampel 167 students. The results showed that (1) the tendency of each - each independent variable in the high category and science learning achievement in the category of very high; (2) the relationship between each - each variable with learning achievement seen from the students' communication skills sig 0.009 <0.05 and attention of parents sig 0.00 <0.05; and (3) the relationship between the two variables with student achievement seen from the value of F count = 7.849> F table = 3.05 with a significance of 5%. So that the students' communication skills and attention of parents have a relationship to improve learning achievement IPA class VIII SMP Negeri 10 districts of Umbulharjo Yogyakarta. The relative contribution on students' communication skills amount 20.34% and the attention of parents amount 79.66%. While effective contribution on communication skills of students amount 2.3% and the attention of parents amount 6.4%. Thus to improve learning achievement IPA it is necessary pay attention to students' communication skills and attention from the parents of students.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to improve students’ activity and science learning achievement  at VIII B grade students through a learning model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) in SMP N 4 Banguntapan Bantul in academic year 2014/2015. This study belongs to Classroom Action Research (CAR). Observation, test, and documentation were used to gather the data in this study. The results of the study showed that after implementing the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model at VIII B class in SMP N 4 Banguntapan Bantul, students’ activity and learning achievement increased. It was shown by the increase of students’ percentage in observation sheets in each cycle. It is proven by the enhancement of average percentage of student liveliness observation worksheet for each cycle; the average of activity indicator in cycle 1 is 70,37%. It increased 20,98% to 91,35% in cycle 2. The average learning outcomes of science in pre-action was 52,1 increased to 56,64 in cycles 1 and 81,28 in cycle 2. The numbers of student that passed the passing grade in the pre-action were 6 students with a percentage of 22,22%. In cycles 1, it increasesd to 48,15% with 13 students passed the passing grade and it becqmee 85,19% in cycles 2 with 23 students. Based on the result of research conducted, the researcher advices science teacher to apply peer teaching as a variation of the learning model.

Abstract

The aims of this research was to know science result  study for 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta by Contextual Teaching and Learning method and Conventional method. This research compared the diferences Science result study for 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta by Contextual Teaching and Learning method and Conventional method. The research showed that science result study by Contextual Teahing and Learning method was high category than science result study by conventional method was medium category. The analyze showed that there was effect by using Contextual Teaching and Learning method to science result study for for 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Yogyakarta in academic year 2014/2015.

Abstract

This research descriptively aimed to know the tendency of science student achievement of 7th grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Mlati Sleman which was taught by using Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Direct Instruction model. This research comparatively aimed to know the difference of science achievement between the students which was taught by using PBL model and Direct Instruction model. The type of this research is Quasi Experiment. Data analysis used t-test by analysis requirement i.e. normality test by using chi-square formulation and homogeneity test by using F-test. The result of research descriptively shows the tendency of science achievement of 7th grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Mlati Sleman which was taught by using PBL model is classified in very high category, whereas using direct instruction is classified in medium category. The result of t-test analysis shows there is very significant difference between PBL model and direct instruction model. It means there is an influence of PBL model towards science achievement. Â
