Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model pembelajaran NHT dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan IPA T.A. 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus berisi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrumen penelitian antara lain lembar observasi dosen, lembar observasi siswa, tes hasil belajar dan angket keaktifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan keaktifan. Pada diskusi siklus I ada 52,5% siswa aktif dan pada diskusi terakhir siklus II ada 90,8% siswa aktif. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat 15,3 poin, dari 63,2 menjadi 78,5.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada materi konsep energi  dan sumber energi guna meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas VII SMP, 2) mendeskripsikan kualitas LKS berbasis PjBL yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan 4D. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penilaian untuk beberapa reviewer. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitas LKS. Berdasarkan penilaian dosen ahli, peer reviewer, dan guru IPA diperoleh skor rata-rata 141,9 dengan persentase keidealan 81,1% menyatakan bahwa kualitas LKS Sangat Baik. Hasil tanggapan siswa diperoleh skor rata-rata 75 dengan persentase keidealan 88,2% menyatakan bahwa kualitas LKS Sangat Baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Developing The Student’s Worksheet Based on Project Based Learning to Improve Student Science Process Skills on Junior High School Abstract This research was aimed to: 1) produced a student’s worksheet based on project based learning on concept of energy and energy resources material to improve he student’s science process skills in seven grade of Junior High School, 2) described the quality of student’s worksheet based on project based learning was developed. This research is include research and development with 4D models. Data collection technique used  assessment instrument for reviewers. Data analysis technique used analysis quality of student’s worksheet. According to assessment of expert lecturer, peer reviewer, and natural science teacher got an average score of 141,9 with ideal presentage of 81,1% stated that the quality of student’s worksheet was very good. The result of students respons got an average score of 75 with ideal percentage of 88,2% stated that the quality of student’s worksheet was very good. In conclusion that the student’s worksheet had been developed was feasible to implement on the lesson.

Abstract

The application of technology in education in the 4.0 era can make it easier for students to build their knowledge. The model of this research is the Research and Development of Borg and Gall which was modified by Sukmadinata (2006) conducted to describe the development of a Tringo-based digital worksheet that is suitable for use in lectures on Natural Sciences III to increase students' lifeskill. This article discusses the Develop phase. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire technique. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the Digital Worksheet is appropriate to be used in Science III lectures with the average results of expert validator ratings on each aspect as follows: content worthiness of 32.25 (Very Good), Conformity of presentation with learning approaches of 36 (Very Good), Conformity with didactic requirements is 18.5 (Very Good), Conformity with construction requirements (linguistic) is 20 (Good) and Conformity with technical requirements (graphic) is 26.75 (Very Good). The validation results of tringo-based Digital worksheets are declared to meet valid criteria by the validator with an average total validity of 4.0 (valid). The use of digital worksheets was responded positively by students at 80.4% and Lecturers of Natural Sciences III at 84.4%.

Abstract

Synthesis and memory effect’s study of Zn-Al Layered Double Hydroxides (LDH) containing nitrite anion had been performed. Zn-Al-NO3 LDH were synthesized by coprecipitating and hydrothermal methods with molar ratio of Zn:Al of 3:1. The conversion of Zn-Al-NO3 LDH to corresponding mixed metal oxide were carried out by heating Zn-Al-NO3 LDH at 400º C for 2 hours. The reconstruction of Zn-Al-NO3 LDH were carried out by reacting the mixed metal oxide with solution of sodium nitrate 0,01 mol.Zn0.702Al0.298(OH)2(NO3)0.298.1.882H2O were synthesized. Its mixed metal oxide were made. The results of XRD and FTIR analyses showed that Zn-Al-NO3 LDH could be reconstructed after calcination. This work may enable to recycle and reuse of LDHs after the structure damaged.

Abstract

This research is descriptively aimed to know the category of science achievement of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Glagah Yogyakarta in academic year 2017/2018 whose learning using quantum teaching model and direct instruction model. Comparatively to know the difference of science achievement of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Glagah Yogyakarta in the academic year 2017/2018 between learning using quantum teaching model and direct instruction model. This type of research is quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Techniques of collecting data using tests and documentation. The data analysis technique was calculated by using the t-test after the prerequisite analysis test which included the test of distribution normality and variance homogeneity test. Descriptively research show the category of science achievement of fourth grade students of SD Glagah Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2017/2018 whose learning using the quantum teaching model obtained the average of 19,308 including the high category and learning using the direct instruction model obtained the average of 16,077 including the high category. In t-test obtained thitung = 2,398 with p = 0,020, because p=0,05 mean there is a significant difference in science achievement of fourth grades of SD Negeri Glagah Yogyakarta in academic year 2017/2018 between learning using quantum teaching model and direct instruction model. The average score of quantum teaching model is higher than the average score of direct instruction model. It means there is a positive and significant influence of quantum teaching model on the science achievement of fourth grades SD Negeri Glagah Yogyakarta in the academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) Pengaruh metode learning cycle dan inkuiri terbimbing terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa (2) Pengaruh pemahaman metode ilmiah tinggi dan rendah terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertipe kuasi eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada program studi Pendidikan IPA FKIP UST semester 1 tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk prestasi belajar dan pemahaman metode ilmiah menggunakan tes. Teknik analisis data untuk uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis variansi dua jalan dengan sel tidak sama (ANOVA). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Tidak ada pengaruh pembelajaran dengan metode learning cycle dan inkuiri terbimbing terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa (p=0.057) (2) Ada pengaruh pemahaman metode ilmiah  rendah dan tinggi terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa (p=0.000).

Abstract

Pertanian merupakan bidang yang sangat strategis untuk dikembangkan terutama oleh remaja agar memiliki kepedulian dengan lingkungan sekaligus juga membangun jiwa social entrepreneur. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan untuk memotivasi remaja Cepokojajar Sitimulyo Piyungan Bantul untuk meningkatkan rasa kepedulian terhadap lingkungan melalui wirausaha di bidang pertanian. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode diskusi, tanya jawab dan praktik yang dikemas dalam kegiatan sosialisasi serta simulasi. Materi yang diangkat yaitu tentang ketahanan pangan, perawatan tanaman, pembuatan nutrisi tumbuh, dan pupuk kompos dalam biopori, dan social entrepreneurship. Peserta nampak antusias dan kegiatan terlaksana dengan baik dan lancar. Hasil kegiatan ini antara lain: 1) remaja mampu mempraktikkan perawatan tanaman, pembuatan nutrisi tumbuh, pembuatan pupuk kompos dalam biopori; 2) remaja termotivasi untuk memulai peduli terhadap lingkungan dengan mengelola sampah rumah tangga/sampah organik dan menanam tanaman; dan 3) remaja termotivasi untuk memulai merintis usaha. Karangtaruna hendaknya dapat mengikuti pelatihan secara berkala sehingga potensi mereka dapat semakin berkembang dan bermanfaat bagi sekitarnya.Kata Kunci: peduli lingkungan, social entrepreneurshipAbstractAgriculture is a very strategic field to be developed specially by adolescents so that they have concern for the environment while also building a social entrepreneur spirit. This community service activity aims to motivate young people in Cepokojajar Sitimulyo Piyungan Bantul to increase their sense of care for the environment through entrepreneurship in agriculture. This activity is carried out with the method of discussion, question and answer and practice that is packaged in socialization and simulation activities. The material raised is about food security, plant care, manufacturing of growing nutrients, and compost fertilizer in bio pores, and social entrepreneurship. The participants seemed enthusiastic and the activities carried out well and smoothly. The results of these activities include: 1) adolescents are able to practice plant care, manufacture growing nutrients, compost fertilizer in bio pores; 2) youth are motivated to start caring for the environment by managing household / organic waste and growing plants, and 3) teenagers are motivated to start starting a business. Karangtaruna should be able to take part in regular training so that their potential can further develop and benefit the surrounding area.Keywords: care for the environment, social entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Cepokojajar Piyungan memiliki banyak potensi sumber daya manusia dengan usia produktif. Di sana juga terdapat banyak lahan yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan potensi lokal seperti pertanian. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan pemuda dengan kegiatan positif dan meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di daerah tersebut sehingga menjadi remaja yang mandiri, bermanfaat dan peduli terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Metode kegiatan ini praktik berkelompok, diskusi dan tanya jawab yaitu meliputi (1) praktek pembenihan tanaman pangan; (2) praktek membuat nutrisi tanaman dan pupuk cair dari bahan-bahan yang mudah didapatkan seperti air kelapa, susu fermentasi, telur, cangkang telur, dan kulit pisang; (3) teknik perawatan tanaman; dan (4) pemanfaatan barang bekas sebagai media tanam. Kegiatan ini bekerjasama dengan WALHI Yogyakarta dan karang taruna Cepokojajar Piyungan Bantul. Pengabdian masyarakat ini mendampingi remaja untuk praktik langsung dalam mengelola lingkungan yang efektif dan efisien sehingga dapat menumbuhkan karakter peduli lingkungan sejak dini bagi remaja. Peserta sangat antusias dan aktif selama kegiatan, mereka mendapatkan pengalaman dan pengetahuan aplikatif di bidang pertanian dan kesadaran untuk peduli terhadap lingkungannya semakin besar. Peserta termotivasi untuk praktik langsung di lingkungan masing-masing serta bertekad untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan yang mereka peroleh di rumah masing-masing dengan bertanam, merawat dan memanfaatkan produk pangan, sehingga remaja aktif merintis ketahanan pangan di daerah Piyungan. Pioneering food security and shaping the character of environmental care for adolescents in Piyungan AbstractCepokojajar Piyungan has a lot of potential human resources with productive age. There is also a lot of lands that are used to develop local potential such as agriculture. This activity aims to empower youth with positive activities and improve food security in the area so that they become adolescents who are independent, useful and care for the surrounding environment. The method of this activity is group practice, discussion and question and answer which includes (1) the practice of hatching food crops; (2) the practice of making plant nutrients and liquid fertilizer from easily available materials such as coconut water, fermented milk, eggs, eggshells, and banana peels; (3) plant care techniques; and (4) utilization of used goods as planting media. This activity is in collaboration with WALHI Yogyakarta and Cepokojajar Piyungan Bantul youth. This community service assists youths to practice directly in managing the environment effectively and efficiently to foster the character of caring for the environment early on for adolescents. Participants were very enthusiastic and active during the activity, they gained experience and applicative knowledge in agriculture and greater awareness to care for their environment. Participants are motivated to practice directly in their respective environments and are determined to develop the knowledge they obtain in their respective homes by planting, caring for and utilizing food products, so that young people actively pioneering food security in the Piyungan area.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa implementasi scientific approach pada outdoor learning dalam mata kuliah Ilmu Lingkungan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan IPA Semester Genap T.A. 2014/2015. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan dan observasi, serta refleksi. Pelaksanaan tindakan dilakukan dengan menerapkan scientific approach yang meliputi mengamati, menanya, menalar, mencoba, membentuk jejaring pada kegiatan outdoor learning. Peserta didik diarahkan untuk aktif mengamati, bertanya, memikirkan, bereksperimen atau mencoba, sampai dengan menyampaikan dan mengomunikasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi scientific approach pada outdoor learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Motivasi belajar mahasiswa mengalami kenaikan sebesar 5,08% dari prasiklus sampai dengan siklus 2 dengan kategori kualifikasi motivasi tinggi. Motivasi belajar pada prasiklus sebesar 72,65%, pada siklus 1 sebesar 73,57% dan pada siklus 2 sebesar 77,73%.Kata kunci: scientific approach, outdoor learning, motivasi, penelitian tindakan kelas Abstract. This study aims to find out that the implementation of the scientific approach to the outdoor learning courses in Environmental Science can increase learning motivation of students in the academic year 2014/2015. This research is a classroom action research which has two cycles. Each cycle consists of action planning, execution and observation, and reflection. Implementation of the actions carried out by applying a scientific approach that includes observing, asking, reasoning, trying, forming networks in outdoor learning activities. Students are directed to actively observing, questioning, thinking, experimenting, up to convey and communicate. The results showed that the implementation of the scientific approach to the outdoor learning can increase student motivation to learn. The motivation of student learning has increased by 5.08% from pre-cycle to the second cycles with high motivation qualification category. Learning motivation is 72.65%, 73.57% and 77.73% for pre-cycle, the first cycle, and the second cycle, respectively. Keywords: scientific approach, outdoor learning, motivation, class action research

This was a class action research. This research consisted of two cycles. Each cycles was consist of planning, doing, observing and reflecting. The instruments of this research were lecture-observing papers, students-observing papers, evaluating papers and statements papers. The result showed increasing of students’ activity. At first discussion on first cycles, there were 52.5% active students, at last discussion on second cycles there were 90.8% active students. The average of students’ achievement has increased 15.3 points, i.e. from 63.2 to 78.5. Keywords: NHT’s model, activity, achievement
