Abstract

Quality, innovative, and applied learning media can increase motivation and activation learn learners. Thus, the research this time USES a think talk write based animation medium. The think talk write model makes the learner more active in building his knowledge through reading, thinking, discussing, and interpreting. The study aims to describe students' responses to the think talk write based media animation. The study USES qualitative descriptive methods in the form of case study conducted at SMA Karya Pembangunan Cikalongwetan. The data collection consists of observation of responses and direct interaction with learners. Studies have proven that the clever text study using animated media collaborated with the think talk write model makes learners more active and able to understand the stories theoretically and empirical.

Abstract

The use of technology in the world of education is an effort to encourage renewal so that there is compatibility between the development of the times, learning and students' interests. One of the ICT-based applications used in learning is the quiziz application, which is used as a medium for learning evaluation tools. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of students' responses to the use of the quiziz application on the learning outcomes of class XI Vocational High School students in lecture text material. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The subject taking technique used was purposive sampling, which was taken randomly while the instrument used was a questionnaire. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is known that the average percentage of effectiveness is 83% in the very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the quiziz application in learning lecture texts can increase student motivation, provide a new atmosphere in the implementation of exams, besides that the design and features in the application are fun so as to attract students' attention.

Abstract

Song lyrics are a bridge to convey the message of the creator to the listener as a connoisseur of the song. The songwriter made the song with a specific intention, as well as the song By mentioning the Name of God by Dwiki Darmawan. In this paper the song is interpreted through the semiotic approach of Ferdinand de Saussure. The method used is descriptive, qualitative, interpretive. The result of this study is that the meaning of the lyrics of the song contains an invitation, da'wah to start activities by remembering Allah, so that in the next step reflected resignation and confidence in the heart that the key to happiness is confidence and resignation.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze language errors in the drama script "My Father Pulang" by Usmar Ismail, aiming to identify language errors in the areas of syntax and diction. Then this study describes the mistakes. The method used in this study uses a descriptive-qualitative method. This type of research makes descriptions, makes descriptions, which are factual and accurate with the data. Qualitative methods are used to provide descriptions and explanations that are very clear, objective, analytical, systematic, and critical of language errors in the drama script "My Father Pulang". As for the results of this study there are diction errors, errors in the use of excessive words, and errors in syntax. Diction errors are related to errors in word selection in drama script sentences so that the meaning is not quite right. Errors in the use of excessive words, namely words that are used less effectively in one sentence that has more meaning. While the syntax field errors with inappropriate prepositions and related to morphology.

Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between students and educators who are members of opportunities for students to develop their potential so that all their potential can develop to the fullest. Through learning, students will acquire knowledge, skills, and character attitudes. The problem is that writing skills are much more difficult and more complicated than other linguistic aspects, namely listening skills, speaking skills, and reading skills. Another obstacle encountered in learning to write short stories comes from students. Students do not like short story writing lessons. This study uses a qualitative approach. This type of research is a case study. Data was collected through document study/literature study and interviews. This study aims to overcome how students experience problems writing short story texts in the learning process. The results and discussion of the research are the Study Case Problems of Learning Short Story Writing in Lhokman, South Aceh by discussing several aspects such as obstacles when teaching both from teacher students and learning, learning solutions and strategies, evaluation in learning, student characteristics, and teacher efforts to overcome differences in learning.

Abstract

Pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah bagi guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia tingkat SMA dalam kelompok guru MGMP (musyawarah guru mata pelajaran) di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat, dilakukan dalam jenjang berkelanjutan. Artinya, pelatihan ini tidak dilaksanakan sekali jadi. Ada banyak program setelah pengabdian ini, yakni proses evaluasi dan proses pendampingan penulisan karya ilmiah bagi guru-guru MGMP Bahasa Indonesia di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat. Upaya ini dilakukan karena didasari oleh kebutuhan bagi guru dalam memahami karya ilmiah sebagai sebuah kebutuhan dan kompetensi yang diharuskan sebagai pendidik profesional di sekolah. Kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah upaya memberikan penataran kepada para guru tentang teknik menulis karya ilmiah sekaligus menghasilkan karya ilmiah dengan baik dan benar. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah pemberian pelatihan secara intensif kepada para guru tentang teknik menulis karya ilmiah. Pemberian pelatihan secara intensif tersebut dimaksudkan untuk membantu memberikan pencerahan dalam memahami dan mempraktikkan secara langsung teknik menulis karya ilmiah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan terhadap para guru yang tergabung dalam kelompok guru MGMP Bahasa Indonesia di Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah melakukan pelatihan menulis karya ilmiah secara intensif. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, kemampuan guru yang tergabung dalam kelompok guru MGMP Bahasa Indonesia mengalami peningkatan signifikan. Hasil tersebut dapat dilihat dari kemampuan para guru memahami dan mempraktikkan teknik menulis karya ilmiah.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas ideologi eksistensialisme pada puisi “Prologue” karya Sapardi Djoko Damono. Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk menunjukkan konsep ideologi eksistensialisme yang dibangun melalui struktur puisi dan relasi makna pada puisi “Prologue”. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif analitik dengan memfokuskan pada data dan objek penelitian teks. Pembahasan ideologi eksistensialisme difokuskan pada aspek-aspek tanda yang terdapat pada puisi tersebut. Pada penelitian ini, ideologi eksistensialisme diejawantah berdasarkan relasi tanda yang muncul sebagai bagian dari representasi yang mewakili sesuatu yang lain. Tanda-tanda yang akan dianalisis mengacu penanda dan petanda. Representasi terhadap tanda ini akan merujuk pada makna eksistensialisme yang ada pada keseluruhan puisi. Selain itu, pembahasannya akan diperkuat dengan intertekstualitas, yakni keterkaitan puisi “prologue” dengan teks lain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan struktur puisi, relasi tanda, tataran tanda, dan makna menunjukkan konsep ideologi eksistensialime mengarah pada konsep kesadaran manusia akan diri, lingkungan, dan Tuhannya. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan wacana atas konsep ideologi dalam puisi.

Abstract

This study aims to explore an in-depth understanding of Kim Ji Young's personality in the film "Kim Ji Young, Born 1982" in the context of patriarchal culture using Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. The research method used is a qualitative method using note-taking technique. We used Sigmund Freud's theory, specifically concepts such as id, ego, and superego, to help us understand the inner conflict experienced by the main character. We also analyzed various events in the film that depict Kim Ji Young's experience as a woman in a society dominated by patriarchal values. The results of this study show that Kim Ji Young experiences complex internal conflicts while performing her role as a woman in a patriarchal culture. Freud's theory helps us understand how these conflicts arise and affect her personality. In addition, this study also emphasizes the important role of family environment, society, and childhood experiences in shaping Kim Ji Young's personality. This research has important implications in understanding the role of women in a patriarchal society and how psychoanalytic theory can be used to analyze characters in works of art such as films.

Abstract

The results of this paper examine the use of language styles in the lyrics of the song Palestine Beloved by Shoutul Harokah through stylistic studies. The language of this song's lyrics is an expression of the writer's emotions which is manifested in the form of song lyrics or words. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The qualitative descriptive method is research that uses a post-positivist philosophical basis. The aim of this research is to interpret or describe the use of language styles in the lyrics of the song Palestine Beloved. The results of the research that has been carried out show that the use of language styles in this song mostly uses personification language styles, apart from that there is also the use of anadiplosis and synecdoche language styles.

Abstract

This research is a case study research. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data sources used are events, informants, and documents. Data collection techniques are carried out by direct observation, interviews, and documents. The test of data validity used is source triangulation and method triangulation. The data analysis technique used is flow model data analysis. The results of this study are descriptions of: (1) the characteristics of Papuan accent Indonesian are distinguished based on linguistic and nonlinguistic elements. Linguistic elements include; (a) phoneme replacement; (b) diphthong replacement; (c) phoneme completion; (d) the use of intonation. Nonlinguistic elements are speech events and paralinguistics; (2) factors that influence the emergence of Papuan characteristics Indonesian accents, namely; (a) administrative units; (b) a special sense of community identity; (c) reside in the same geographical area; (d) historical experience; (3) Indonesian Papuan accent has relevance as teaching material for sociolinguistic courses in the Indonesian Education Study Program.
