This article discusses the values of nationalism in W.S. Rendra's poem "Heroes' Tale." The poem is found in the Stanzas and Blues. The poem "Fairy Tales of Heroes" is assumed to have values of nationalism and heroic values. The focus of this research is based on two problems. 1) how the values of nationalism are built on the poem "Tale of Heroes" by W.S. Rendra; and 2) how the values of nationalism build character values that can be utilized in the learning process. Both issues will be examined based on the theory of symbols covered in the dictions in poetry. The method used is qualitative method by making poetry as an object and research data. The results of this study showed that the values of nationalism in the poem "Dongeng Pahlawan" by W.S. Rendra were built on conventional symbols. The symbols are contained in the dictions used.In addition, character values appear in line with the found values of nationalism. Thus, W.S. Rendra's poem "Hero's Tale" has important values in building the character of nationalism that is indispensable in building our nation and country.

Artikel ini, selain bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan problematika pada pembelajaran apresiasi sastra , mengkaji kondisi pembelajarannya melalui kajian pustaka dari berbagai makalah ilmiah, jurnal, dan buku terkait apresiasi sastra juga membahas beberapa langkah-langkah sederhana peran penting guru dalam menstimulasi pembelajaran apresiasi sastra. Siswa perlu dituntun untuk mengenal apresiasi sastra lebih jauh. Problematika apresiasi sastra diharapkan teratasi melalui peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam proses pembelajaran apresiasi sastra , tidak hanya penyampaian teori dan sejarah sastra di kelas, namun mengajak siswa untuk lebih mengeksplorasi dirinya pada apresiasi sastra baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan Teknik observasi dan studi Pustaka sebagai cara pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Pengajar harus mampu membuat pembelajaran sastra semenarik mungkin, sehingga peserta didik berminat dengan karya sastra dan mampu mengapresiasinya. Kata Kunci: problematika, pembelajaran, apresiasi, sastra.

The language and context of speech cannot be separated from each other, the two intertwine in tandem and complement each other. The communication process uses language as a medium for conveying its message. Communicators (speakers), communicants (speakers), messages, and speech situations are necessary parts of communication that are expected to be smooth communication and the delivery of messages. The delivery of the message by the speaker becomes hampered when there is a misalignment of understanding received by the speaker. This is what pragmatics is trying to interpret. Pragmatics is the study of the relationship of language to its context. In a comprehensive understanding of language in communication will give birth to language functions that ultimately form a strong language character. It is presented in the article on speech acts and implicature in the use of language.

This research was conducted to analyze language errors in the drama script "My Father Pulang" by Usmar Ismail, aiming to identify language errors in the areas of syntax and diction. Then this study describes the mistakes. The method used in this study uses a descriptive-qualitative method. This type of research makes descriptions, makes descriptions, which are factual and accurate with the data. Qualitative methods are used to provide descriptions and explanations that are very clear, objective, analytical, systematic, and critical of language errors in the drama script "My Father Pulang". As for the results of this study there are diction errors, errors in the use of excessive words, and errors in syntax. Diction errors are related to errors in word selection in drama script sentences so that the meaning is not quite right. Errors in the use of excessive words, namely words that are used less effectively in one sentence that has more meaning. While the syntax field errors with inappropriate prepositions and related to morphology.

Learning is a process of interaction between students and educators who are members of opportunities for students to develop their potential so that all their potential can develop to the fullest. Through learning, students will acquire knowledge, skills, and character attitudes. The problem is that writing skills are much more difficult and more complicated than other linguistic aspects, namely listening skills, speaking skills, and reading skills. Another obstacle encountered in learning to write short stories comes from students. Students do not like short story writing lessons. This study uses a qualitative approach. This type of research is a case study. Data was collected through document study/literature study and interviews. This study aims to overcome how students experience problems writing short story texts in the learning process. The results and discussion of the research are the Study Case Problems of Learning Short Story Writing in Lhokman, South Aceh by discussing several aspects such as obstacles when teaching both from teacher students and learning, learning solutions and strategies, evaluation in learning, student characteristics, and teacher efforts to overcome differences in learning.

Problems are often associated with various problems, but the essence of problematics is to find the best solution with supporting things. Learning the history of literature itself is learning about the origins of or relating to the past about literature. Learning literature from time to time changes and adds to the level of study that is applied, giving rise to various problems in the context of its teaching of both formal and non - formal education. The problems themselves arise from various factors, the quality of learning literature in schools which may be caused by various things such as the curriculum, teachers, students, facilities and infrastructure, and perhaps also from the approach to learning literature itself, and the lack of deepening of the history of literature learning. Thus, to find a solution there is a literature study, including making the school a literary field, innovative learning with changes that are adjusted to the passage of time, as well as various learning approaches in the context of applying the teaching of literary history.

This research was conducted to answer the problems that arise in learning Indonesian in the independent curriculum in phase E or class X at SMA Negeri 1 Pamanukan. This research focuses on teacher readiness, school support, supporting factors, and obstacles related to the implementation of the independent curriculum. In addition, this study also tries to identify steps that can be taken to overcome obstacles in the implementation of the independent curriculum. The method used in this research is descriptive method, which aims to provide a systematic description of some of the existing relationships. The data used in this study were written data obtained from recorded interviews with Indonesian language teachers who taught in phase E or class X. The data was then transcribed into written form. The interview samples were taken from Indonesian teacher respondents who taught in phase E or class X. Based on the results of data collection, it was found that the learning process in general had been carried out well. However, there are several facts that show there are deficiencies in the implementation of this curriculum. One of the deficiencies found is that not all teachers have received the necessary training, and many of them admit that they have not been able to apply learning in accordance with the achievements of the Independent Curriculum. In addition, cognitive assessment to measure student learning outcomes has also not been implemented thoroughly.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mean prates keterampilan membaca artikel ilmiah jurnal elektronik. Penelitian ini berlangsung di awal semester ganjil tahun akademis 2022/2023 yang bertempat di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Populasi penelitian ini adalah para mahasiswa Prodi Teknik Elektro, Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Prancis, dan Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Jepang. Mereka berjumlah 79 yang submit prates keterampilan membaca artikel ilmiah di google form pada kesempatan pertama. Sampel berjumlah 66 mahasiswa yang dipilih secara random sederhana tanpa pengembalian. Penetapan jumlah sampel mengacu kepada pendapat Slavin. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan membaca artikel ilmiah jurnal elektronik berbentuk pilihan ganda berbasis google form yang dipadukan dengan artikel ilmiah jurnal elektronik. Perangkat tes memenuhi syarat validitas isi. Data keterampilan membaca artikel ilmiah jurnal elektronik dianalisis menggunakan uji t satu sampel dan Anova searah. Temuan penelitian: 1) prates keterampilan membaca artikel ilmiah jurnal elektronik bagi mahasiswa baru Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia berkategori rendah; 2) tidak terdapat perbedaan mean prates keterampilan membaca artikel ilmiah jurnal elektronik bagi mahasiswa baru Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia per kelompok sampel.

This article analyzes the signs found in the poem "Dalam Doa: II" by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The focus of this research is as follows. 1) what are the signs in Sapardi Djoko Damono's poem "Dalam Doa: II"?; and 2) how is the meaning built on the poem "Dalam Doa: II" based on the signs found?. This study uses the theory of semiotics put forward by Carles Sanders Pierce by analyzing the signs on poetry. The mark analysis used refers to the relationship of a mark to an object, i.e. a mark that is an icon, an index, and a symbol. The signs found will eventually refer to the meaning and understanding of the poem in its entirety. The results of this study showed that the signs contained in the poem "Dalam Doa: II" by Sapardi Djoko Damono consists of signs in the form of symbols, namely symbols that can build meaning about the values of religiosity in poetry. Thus, the use of semiotics theory in analyzing the poem "Dalam Doa: II" by Sapardi Djoko Damono has an important role in understanding and interpreting poetry as a whole
