Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze language errors in the drama script "My Father Pulang" by Usmar Ismail, aiming to identify language errors in the areas of syntax and diction. Then this study describes the mistakes. The method used in this study uses a descriptive-qualitative method. This type of research makes descriptions, makes descriptions, which are factual and accurate with the data. Qualitative methods are used to provide descriptions and explanations that are very clear, objective, analytical, systematic, and critical of language errors in the drama script "My Father Pulang". As for the results of this study there are diction errors, errors in the use of excessive words, and errors in syntax. Diction errors are related to errors in word selection in drama script sentences so that the meaning is not quite right. Errors in the use of excessive words, namely words that are used less effectively in one sentence that has more meaning. While the syntax field errors with inappropriate prepositions and related to morphology.

Abstract

Learning is a process of interaction between students and educators who are members of opportunities for students to develop their potential so that all their potential can develop to the fullest. Through learning, students will acquire knowledge, skills, and character attitudes. The problem is that writing skills are much more difficult and more complicated than other linguistic aspects, namely listening skills, speaking skills, and reading skills. Another obstacle encountered in learning to write short stories comes from students. Students do not like short story writing lessons. This study uses a qualitative approach. This type of research is a case study. Data was collected through document study/literature study and interviews. This study aims to overcome how students experience problems writing short story texts in the learning process. The results and discussion of the research are the Study Case Problems of Learning Short Story Writing in Lhokman, South Aceh by discussing several aspects such as obstacles when teaching both from teacher students and learning, learning solutions and strategies, evaluation in learning, student characteristics, and teacher efforts to overcome differences in learning.

Abstract

Problems are often associated with various problems, but the essence of problematics is to find the best solution with supporting things. Learning the history of literature itself is learning about the origins of or relating to the past about literature. Learning literature from time to time changes and adds to the level of study that is applied, giving rise to various problems in the context of its teaching of both formal and non - formal education. The problems themselves arise from various factors, the quality of learning literature in schools which may be caused by various things such as the curriculum, teachers, students, facilities and infrastructure, and perhaps also from the approach to learning literature itself, and the lack of deepening of the history of literature learning. Thus, to find a solution there is a literature study, including making the school a literary field, innovative learning with changes that are adjusted to the passage of time, as well as various learning approaches in the context of applying the teaching of literary history.

Abstract

This article analyzes the signs found in the poem "Dalam Doa: II" by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The focus of this research is as follows. 1) what are the signs in Sapardi Djoko Damono's poem "Dalam Doa: II"?; and 2) how is the meaning built on the poem "Dalam Doa: II" based on the signs found?. This study uses the theory of semiotics put forward by Carles Sanders Pierce by analyzing the signs on poetry. The mark analysis used refers to the relationship of a mark to an object, i.e. a mark that is an icon, an index, and a symbol. The signs found will eventually refer to the meaning and understanding of the poem in its entirety. The results of this study showed that the signs contained in the poem "Dalam Doa: II" by Sapardi Djoko Damono consists of signs in the form of symbols, namely symbols that can build meaning about the values of religiosity in poetry. Thus, the use of semiotics theory in analyzing the poem "Dalam Doa: II" by Sapardi Djoko Damono has an important role in understanding and interpreting poetry as a whole

Abstract

This article discusses the values of nationalism in W.S. Rendra's poem "Heroes' Tale." The poem is found in the Stanzas and Blues. The poem "Fairy Tales of Heroes" is assumed to have values of nationalism and heroic values. The focus of this research is based on two problems. 1) how the values of nationalism are built on the poem "Tale of Heroes" by W.S. Rendra; and 2) how the values of nationalism build character values that can be utilized in the learning process. Both issues will be examined based on the theory of symbols covered in the dictions in poetry. The method used is qualitative method by making poetry as an object and research data. The results of this study showed that the values of nationalism in the poem "Dongeng Pahlawan" by W.S. Rendra were built on conventional symbols. The symbols are contained in the dictions used.In addition, character values appear in line with the found values of nationalism. Thus, W.S. Rendra's poem "Hero's Tale" has important values in building the character of nationalism that is indispensable in building our nation and country.

Abstract

Quality, innovative, and applied learning media can increase motivation and activation learn learners. Thus, the research this time USES a think talk write based animation medium. The think talk write model makes the learner more active in building his knowledge through reading, thinking, discussing, and interpreting. The study aims to describe students' responses to the think talk write based media animation. The study USES qualitative descriptive methods in the form of case study conducted at SMA Karya Pembangunan Cikalongwetan. The data collection consists of observation of responses and direct interaction with learners. Studies have proven that the clever text study using animated media collaborated with the think talk write model makes learners more active and able to understand the stories theoretically and empirical.

Abstract

The use of technology in the world of education is an effort to encourage renewal so that there is compatibility between the development of the times, learning and students' interests. One of the ICT-based applications used in learning is the quiziz application, which is used as a medium for learning evaluation tools. The purpose of this study was to describe the results of students' responses to the use of the quiziz application on the learning outcomes of class XI Vocational High School students in lecture text material. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The subject taking technique used was purposive sampling, which was taken randomly while the instrument used was a questionnaire. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is known that the average percentage of effectiveness is 83% in the very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the use of the quiziz application in learning lecture texts can increase student motivation, provide a new atmosphere in the implementation of exams, besides that the design and features in the application are fun so as to attract students' attention.

Abstract

Song lyrics are a bridge to convey the message of the creator to the listener as a connoisseur of the song. The songwriter made the song with a specific intention, as well as the song By mentioning the Name of God by Dwiki Darmawan. In this paper the song is interpreted through the semiotic approach of Ferdinand de Saussure. The method used is descriptive, qualitative, interpretive. The result of this study is that the meaning of the lyrics of the song contains an invitation, da'wah to start activities by remembering Allah, so that in the next step reflected resignation and confidence in the heart that the key to happiness is confidence and resignation.
