Abstract

STAD type cooperative model. The subjects in this research were 30 class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pantai Labu and the object of this research was to see the learning outcomes of the learning process carried out. 2) the effectiveness of Learning Design Development using the STAD Type Cooperative model developed on students' mathematical abilities. The learning design developed (STAD Type Cooperative Model, has met the level of validity with a reliability coefficient of 0.790. Based on data obtained from testing the learning design, it is known that: 1) the design developed has been able to meet the effectiveness of the learning process, 2) Obtained learning outcomes good for students' mathematical abilities. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that all aspects determined to declare a design development product valid and effective have been fulfilled, so the development cycle to obtain a valid and effective learning design has ended. Improved student learning outcomes can be seen from the results of students' mathematical ability tests on flat plane material. In the trial, there were 26 students (86.67%) out of 30 students who took the posttest with a level of student mathematical ability in the minimum category B. This shows that the percentage of students who have completed their mathematical abilities on flat plane material has increased from trial I to trial II, namely 16.67%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) increasing students' mathematical communication skills through the development of developed mathematics learning media. The subjects in this research were 30 class VI students at SDN 105343 Ramunia I/II and the object of this research was to see improvements in the learning process carried out. 2) the effectiveness of media in developing mathematics learning on students' mathematical communication skills. The learning media developed (The media has met the level of validity with a reliability coefficient of 0.790. Based on data obtained from testing the learning media, it is known that: 1) the media developed has been able to meet the effectiveness of the learning process, where: The percentage of student learning completion that reaches the level of ability 86.67% of students' mathematical communication is classical from 30 students, and students' responses to the media and learning process are positive; 2) there was an increase in students' mathematical communication skills using learning media on the subject of blocks, achieving an increase as seen from the percentage of achievement of students' mathematical communication skills in trial I, which was 70.00%, increasing to 86.67% in trial II. With a gain of 0.57 in the medium category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) increasing mathematical connection abilities through a contextual approach. Educational science is a continuation of education. Education and Culture continues to carry out reforms and innovations in the field of education, one of which is curriculum renewal and innovation, namely the birth of the 2013 curriculum which is a shift in the development paradigm from the 20th century to the 21st century. Mathematics is one of the mandatory subjects in the 2013 curriculum which plays a very important role in improving human resources. Mathematical connection abilities are closely related to problem solving abilities which of course will help students to improve their mathematical connections, and vice versa. Therefore, it is very important that mathematical connection abilities to be able to improve students' mathematical connection abilities through contextual learning are a very appropriate choice. Johnson (2010:35) states that contextual learning and teaching involves students in important activities that help them relate academic lessons to the real-life contexts they face. Based on the results of research by experts, the average normalized gain score for mathematical connection abilities of students who were given contextual learning was higher than students who were given regular learning. The results of this study show that the average increase in the mathematical connection abilities of students who were given contextual learning was higher than that of students who were given regular learning.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa ketika menyelesaikan masalah matematika dalam soal cerita yang berkaitan dengan Teorema Pythagoras, berdasarkan teori Newman.​ ​Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian 30 siswa kelas IX-A MTs Al Faiz yang dipilih melalui teknik systematic random sampling.​ Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrumen tes, kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan indikator kesalahan Newman. Indikator tersebut mencakup kesalahan dalam membaca soal, kesalahan dalam memahami soal, kesalahan dalam transformasi, kesalahan dalam keterampilan proses, dan kesalahan dalam penulisan jawaban akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesalahan yang paling banyak terjadi adalah kesalahan penulisan jawaban akhir dengan persentase sebesar 27,02%, sedangkan kesalahan yang paling jarang terjadi adalah kesalahan transformasi dengan persentase sebesar 8,78%.​​​

Abstract

This study aims to develop of a learning model based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) that are valid, practical, and effective to improve mathematical literacy skills and students' mathematical disposition. This study uses a research and development method with modified Plomp model. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 9 Medan in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The instruments in this study were the Mathematical Literacy Ability Test and the Mathematical Disposition Questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this research showed that: (1) the RME-based learning model developed met the criteria for validity, practicality and effectiveness of the learning model; (2) increasing students' mathematical literacy skills using the realistic RME-based learning model developed in terms of the N-Gain in trial I of 0.29 with low criteria and in trial II of 0.59 with medium criteria. (3) increasing students' mathematical disposition abilities using the developed RME learning model in terms of the average in trial I and trial II, namely 5.04.

Abstract

The study aims to describe students' answers in solving reflective thinking problems and literacy of the Pythagorean theorem material, reducing student errors in completing reflective thinking tests and mathematical literacy skills through the application of the inquiry learning model. This study uses a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 30 students of class VIII-1 MTs Abata Al Washliyah in the 2024/2025 academic year. The results of the study are as follows: students' answers in reflective thinking and literacy on the Pythagorean theorem material on the reacting, elaborating and contemplating indicators and on students' literacy skills in solving problems on the indicators of being able to describe problems systematically; being able to use concepts, facts, procedures, and reasoning in mathematics; and interpreting mathematics to solve problems. Errors in thinking and reflective literacy skills in the application of the inquiry learning model, students with high categories did not experience errors, in the medium category, students experienced transformation errors, process skill errors, low categories, students experienced errors in understanding questions; transformation errors and process skill errors.

Abstract

This study focuses on strengthening students' understanding of maps and the geography of Indonesia through a technology-based approach, utilizing a technology-integrated inquiry learning model in Grade V at SD Negeri 198/VI Ulak Makam. The background of this research is the low engagement and motivation to learn among students who were previously taught using conventional methods. This study employs a qualitative Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in three cycles. The learning model integrates local cultural elements and incorporates digital media such as Google Earth, Quizizz, and educational videos into the inquiry learning syntax. The results indicate that the implementation of this model successfully increased students' enthusiasm, active participation, and digital literacy. Students’ ability to understand geographic locations and map elements of Indonesia improved, with the majority achieving learning mastery. The model also allowed students to explore digital representations of their hometowns to support their cultural identity. The study concludes that technology-based inquiry learning is effective in creating relevant, contextual, and interactive learning experiences. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini difokuskan pada upaya memperkuat pemahaman siswa terkait topik peta dan geografi wilayah Indonesia melalui pendekatan berbasis teknologi. dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri berbasis teknologi di kelas V SD Negeri 198/VI Ulak Makam. Siswa yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional memiliki keterlibatan dan keinginan belajar yang rendah, yang merupakan latar belakang penelitian ini. Jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus, adalah metode kualitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan berbasis budaya lokal dan menggabungkan media digital seperti Google Earth, Quizizz, dan video edukatif dalam sintaks inkuiri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model ini berhasil meningkatkan antusiasme siswa, keterlibatan aktif, dan literasi digital. Kemampuan siswa untuk memahami lokasi geografis dan elemen peta Indonesia meningkat, dan sebagian besar siswa mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Model ini juga mengeksplorasi digital daerah asal masing-masing siswa untuk mendukung identitas budaya mereka. Studi ini menemukan bahwa pembelajaran inkuiri berbasis teknologi efektif untuk membuat pembelajaran yang relevan, kontekstual, dan interaktif.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: The aim of this research is to find out: 1) increasing students' positive attitudes towards mathematics through the Realistic Mathematics Approach. The main objective of this research is to determine the increase in students' positive attitudes towards mathematics with the Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMR). Apart from that, the process of solving positive attitude questions was also seen by students who were given a Realistic Mathematics Approach. Based on the results of research conducted by previous researchers, the average positive attitude gain score for students who were given the Realistic Mathematics Approach (PMR) was 0.523, higher than that of students who were given conventional learning, which was 0.388. The results of this research show that the average increase in positive attitudes of students who were given real learning was higher than students who were given regular learning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out: 1) increasing students' problem solving abilities through a contextual approach. The subjects in this research were 30 class V students at SDN 00312 Pargarutan Jae and the object of this research was to see improvements in the learning process carried out by looking at students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Based on the findings presented in the previous section, several conclusions can be drawn relating to learning factors, mathematical problem solving abilities. These conclusions are that the increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who are given contextual learning is higher than students who are given regular learning.
