Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the development of e-comic learning media to improve the mathematics problem solving abilities of 4th grade elementary school students. The type of research carried out uses descriptive qualitative with field research methods. The type of research used is Research and Development with a 4-D design which includes a modification of the Thiagarajan model (1974:36). The stages carried out in 4-D design are the definition stage, design stage, development stage by carrying out validation tests on material, media and learning experts. After the results of the e-comics media development material test, media expert test and learning expert test were categorized as valid and feasible. Then the final stage is carried out, namely the distribution stage which aims to promote e-comic media to teachers and students. So it can be concluded that the development of e-comics media is suitable for application in mathematics learning to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi model mental, strategi, dan skema berpikir mahasiswa dalam memecahkan masalah luas segitiga serta menelaah efektivitas desain didaktis berbasis pendekatan metakognitif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah geometri. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang melibatkan 23 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Negeri Medan tahun akademik 2024/2025 sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar tugas pemecahan masalah bidang datar dan dianalisis melalui tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa representasi visual mahasiswa masih dipengaruhi oleh citra mental prototipe, sehingga strategi pembagian bangun datar belum bervariasi. Namun, penerapan desain didaktis berbasis pendekatan metakognitif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran mahasiswa terhadap proses berpikir visual mereka. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya memperkaya citra mental dan kesadaran visual mahasiswa, tetapi juga memperbaiki ketepatan strategi dan fleksibilitas representasi geometri dalam memecahkan masalah luas segitiga. Dengan demikian, integrasi metakognisi dalam pembelajaran geometri berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas model mental dan kemampuan berpikir spasial calon guru matematika.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang ada dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana hubungan kecemasan dengan prestasi matematika siswa kelas VI SD negeri 104244 Jati Sari. Karena kecemasan merupakan faktor psikologis negative yang terdapat dalam diri siswa yang tidak mendasar dapat mempengaruhi prestasi belajar anak dan tidak mampu menyelesaikan pekerjaan sehingga presatsi pun terhambat. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI SD negeri 104244 Jati Sari. Dan yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah kecemasan siswa dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan siswa dan prestasi belajar matematika siswaserta untuk mengetahui hubungan kecemasan dengan prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data kelas VI di SD Laro 104244 Jati Sari. Untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini digunakan angket yaitu angket kecemasan terdiri dari 25 item dan tes hasil belajar yang terdiri dari 5 soal. Prosedur penelitian ini trdiri dari pengolahan data dan analisi data dengan terlebih dahulu mengubaha data kuantitaf menjadi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini memberi kesimpulan yaitu ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kecemasan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VI SD negeri 104244 Jati Sari. Dari hasil pembahasan dan analisis data di atas, maka diperoleh besarnya nilai korelasi adalah 0,207. Dapat diterima kebenarannyasebab besarnya nilai r (hitung) > r (tabel) atau 0,466 > 0,207.

Abstract

This study aims to develop of a learning model based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) that are valid, practical, and effective to improve mathematical literacy skills and students' mathematical disposition. This study uses a research and development method with modified Plomp model. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 9 Medan in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The instruments in this study were the Mathematical Literacy Ability Test and the Mathematical Disposition Questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this study used descriptive statistical analysis. The results of this research showed that: (1) the RME-based learning model developed met the criteria for validity, practicality and effectiveness of the learning model; (2) increasing students' mathematical literacy skills using the realistic RME-based learning model developed in terms of the N-Gain in trial I of 0.29 with low criteria and in trial II of 0.59 with medium criteria. (3) increasing students' mathematical disposition abilities using the developed RME learning model in terms of the average in trial I and trial II, namely 5.04.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) increasing students' mathematical communication skills through the development of developed mathematics learning media. The subjects in this research were 30 class VI students at SDN 105343 Ramunia I/II and the object of this research was to see improvements in the learning process carried out. 2) the effectiveness of media in developing mathematics learning on students' mathematical communication skills. The learning media developed (The media has met the level of validity with a reliability coefficient of 0.790. Based on data obtained from testing the learning media, it is known that: 1) the media developed has been able to meet the effectiveness of the learning process, where: The percentage of student learning completion that reaches the level of ability 86.67% of students' mathematical communication is classical from 30 students, and students' responses to the media and learning process are positive; 2) there was an increase in students' mathematical communication skills using learning media on the subject of blocks, achieving an increase as seen from the percentage of achievement of students' mathematical communication skills in trial I, which was 70.00%, increasing to 86.67% in trial II. With a gain of 0.57 in the medium category.

Abstract

STAD type cooperative model. The subjects in this research were 30 class VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Pantai Labu and the object of this research was to see the learning outcomes of the learning process carried out. 2) the effectiveness of Learning Design Development using the STAD Type Cooperative model developed on students' mathematical abilities. The learning design developed (STAD Type Cooperative Model, has met the level of validity with a reliability coefficient of 0.790. Based on data obtained from testing the learning design, it is known that: 1) the design developed has been able to meet the effectiveness of the learning process, 2) Obtained learning outcomes good for students' mathematical abilities. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that all aspects determined to declare a design development product valid and effective have been fulfilled, so the development cycle to obtain a valid and effective learning design has ended. Improved student learning outcomes can be seen from the results of students' mathematical ability tests on flat plane material. In the trial, there were 26 students (86.67%) out of 30 students who took the posttest with a level of student mathematical ability in the minimum category B. This shows that the percentage of students who have completed their mathematical abilities on flat plane material has increased from trial I to trial II, namely 16.67%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa serta factor penyebabnya dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi bangun datar segitiga. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini kuantitatif yang berdasarkan factor NEA. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes tertulis dengan memberikan dua butir soal materi bangun datar segitiga. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IX-2 SMP Swasta Al-Ulum yang terdiri atas 26 siswa. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah kesahalan dalam membaca soal sebesar 8,1%, kesalahan dalam memahami soal sebesar 14,9%, kesahalan dalam mentraformasikan rumus sebesar 32,8%, kesalahan dalam keterampilan proses sebesar 25,4%, dan kesalahan dalam menulis jawaban sebesar 18,8%. Dimana siswa banyak melakukan kesahalan dalam mentraformasikan rumus yaitu sebesar 32,8%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa  masih kurang dalam keterampilan mentraformasikan rumus yang digunakan dalam soal pada materi Bangun Datar Segitiga

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengolahan sumber belajar di SD Negeri 060872 Medan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah telah melakukan inventarisasi yang sistematis terhadap berbagai sumber belajar, termasuk bahan cetak, fasilitas, dan kegiatan. Proses pemilihan sumber belajar mempertimbangkan kriteria ekonomis, praktis, dan fleksibel, yang mendukung produktivitas pembelajaran. Sumber belajar tersebut memberikan pengalaman konkret, memperluas wawasan siswa, dan membantu pengembangan pemahaman sesuai dengan kemampuan dan potensi masing-masing. Namun, ditemukan bahwa pengelolaan buku dan alat peraga memerlukan peningkatan, khususnya terkait penyimpanan yang lebih baik dan pemeriksaan berkala. Lingkungan belajar yang bersih dan dekorasi mendidik juga dianggap penting untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang kondusif. Secara keseluruhan, meskipun ada beberapa tantangan, pengelolaan sumber belajar di SD Negeri 060872 Medan menunjukkan potensi yang baik dalam mendukung pendidikan yang efektif dan berkelanjutan. Rekomendasi yang diberikan mencakup perbaikan dalam pengelolaan sumber belajar guna meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) increasing mathematical connection abilities through a contextual approach. Educational science is a continuation of education. Education and Culture continues to carry out reforms and innovations in the field of education, one of which is curriculum renewal and innovation, namely the birth of the 2013 curriculum which is a shift in the development paradigm from the 20th century to the 21st century. Mathematics is one of the mandatory subjects in the 2013 curriculum which plays a very important role in improving human resources. Mathematical connection abilities are closely related to problem solving abilities which of course will help students to improve their mathematical connections, and vice versa. Therefore, it is very important that mathematical connection abilities to be able to improve students' mathematical connection abilities through contextual learning are a very appropriate choice. Johnson (2010:35) states that contextual learning and teaching involves students in important activities that help them relate academic lessons to the real-life contexts they face. Based on the results of research by experts, the average normalized gain score for mathematical connection abilities of students who were given contextual learning was higher than students who were given regular learning. The results of this study show that the average increase in the mathematical connection abilities of students who were given contextual learning was higher than that of students who were given regular learning.
