Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of cost management and cash flow on financial management stability in manufacturing companies in Indonesia. Financial stability is an essential factor in maintaining business sustainability, especially amid economic dynamics and increasingly fierce industrial competition. This study uses a quantitative approach and a survey method to examine manufacturing companies as the research object. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analysed using inferential statistical techniques to test the partial and simultaneous effects between variables. The results show that cost management has a significant effect on financial management stability, with efficient cost control improving the balance between a company's income and expenditures. In addition, cash flow has also been proven to have a significant effect on financial stability, as it reflects a company's ability to meet short-term obligations and support operational activities. Simultaneously, cost management and cash flow contribute more strongly to financial management stability than either does alone. These findings emphasise the importance of integrating cost-control and cash-management policies to achieve sustainable financial stability.

Abstract

Quiet quitting, or silent resignation, is a phenomenon in which individuals continue to perform and fulfil their work obligations, but emotional detachment and refusal of extra workloads without adequate compensation are becoming increasingly common among the workforce, particularly the younger generation, including lecturers at private universities. This study aims to examine quiet quitting among private lecturers through the lens of Stoic philosophy, which emphasizes accepting what is beyond one's control, managing emotions, and committing to internal rather than external values. The research approach is qualitative with case study methods and literature reviews related to the research theme. The research findings indicate that some lecturers adopt a similar attitude to quiet quitting, not as a form of passive resignation, but as a self-aware strategy to maintain professional integrity and work-life balance, in line with Stoic principles of eudaimonia and apatheia. However, tensions arise when individual Stoic values clash with institutional demands that emphasize excessive productivity. Stoic values will not apply if the welfare and work environment of private lecturers are deemed to meet the standards of a decent living. This study argues that Stoicism can serve as a reflective framework for understanding quiet quitting not as a decadent work ethic, but rather as a form of ethical resistance to labour exploitation, particularly in the context of structural inequality in private universities. Policy implications include reforming workloads and professional rewards that align with the principles of justice in Stoic ethics.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has fundamentally reshaped how organizations manage work and evaluate employee performance. In response to this transformation, a growing body of scholarly literature has examined the relationship between digitalization and employee performance from multiple disciplinary perspectives. This study aims to map the intellectual structure, thematic evolution, and collaboration patterns of research on employee performance in the digital age using a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from a leading academic database and analyzed using VOSviewer to examine keyword co-occurrence, overlay and density visualizations, as well as co-authorship and country collaboration networks. The results indicate that digital transformation and human resource management constitute the core research themes, closely linked with organizational performance, information management, and knowledge management. Recent trends highlight the increasing prominence of artificial intelligence, leadership, innovation, and sustainability, signaling a shift toward strategic and future-oriented research agendas. Furthermore, collaboration analysis reveals a growing contribution from Asian countries, particularly India and China, alongside fragmented yet evolving international research networks. This study provides a systematic overview of the field and offers insights to guide future research on employee performance in digitally driven organizational contexts.
