Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted to reveal the embodiment of religious character education through school culture. Through a qualitative approach, the case study model of this research uses school principals and teachers as the main respondents. Data collection techniques use interviews and field observations. The collected data was analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model, and its validity was tested using source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of the research show that religious character education is formed 1) in the habit of congregational prayer, such as Duha prayers, prayers before and after learning, 2) in the form of physical objects, artifacts that have a religious pattern and religious value. All buildings and physical objects are used to strengthen an environment that supports a religious character. 3) a culture of thinking which is manifested in the vision and mission of the Islamic boarding school, the religious thoughts of students and teachers which are expressed in their behavior and spirit of faith. The culture of ideas is realized in everyday life. Its implementation is supported by factors such as adequate capacity and participation of all school children in school culture. The inhibiting factor is a lack of awareness among some students and differences in ability.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the readiness of elementary school teachers in implementing diagnostic assessment as part of differentiated learning. This study will describe teachers' understanding of the concept of diagnostic assessment, teacher skills in implementing it, obstacles, and efforts to overcome obstacles in implementing the assessment. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research involving interviews. The study shows that teachers understand the concept, purpose, and time of diagnostic assessment well. Teachers realize how important diagnostic assessment is to identify students' learning needs and design appropriate learning approaches. However, teachers still face several challenges when starting to implement diagnostic assessment, such as difficulty in compiling assessment materials, determining sentences that are easy to understand, and problems with assessment mapping and time constraints. To overcome this problem, teachers make various efforts, such as seeking further information. Further research should focus on developing and evaluating training programs specifically designed to improve teachers’ ability to develop and implement diagnostic assessments, examining the use of technology to assist teachers in developing, mapping, and administering diagnostic assessments, or conducting comparative studies with schools in other regions or schools with different contexts to gain a broader understanding of variation in diagnostic assessment implementation and factors that influence teacher readiness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness and differences in the effectiveness of the learning platform with Google Classroom and Microsoft Kaizala in terms of self-efficacy and students' mathematical communication skills. The population of this research is the XII grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Giritronto Wonogiri which consists of sevent classes. From the existing population, two classes were taken randomly, namely twelfth grade of TKJ-I and twelfth grade of TKJ-II as research samples. Twelfth grade of TKJ-I was given treatment by learning using the Microsoft Kaizala platform, while twelfth grade of TKJ-II was given treatment using the Google Classroom platform. The research data were analyzed by statistical one sample t-test, MANOVA test with Hotelling's T2 at a significant level of 0.05 and univariate test to determine which platform is more effective. The results showed that: (1) statistical learning using the Microsoft Kaizala platform was effective in terms of mathematical communication and self-efficacy, while the Google Classroom platform was effective in terms of mathematical communication but not effective in terms of self-efficacy; (2) there is a difference in effectiveness between the Microsoft Kaizala platform and Google Classroom. The Microsot Kaizala platform is more effective than Google Classroom in terms of the mathematical communication skills of class twelfth grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Giritronto Wonogiri.

Abstract

This study investigated students’ satisfaction with administrative services at the Senior High School level in the Yogyakarta area. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 104 students and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings of the study indicated that the overall level of student satisfaction was categorized as “good,” with a mean score of 3.4 and a dominant median value of 4 across 12 service indicators. Key service aspects, such as comfort of service space, adequacy of facilities, responsiveness, clarity of communication, empathy, and non-discrimination, received good ratings, although some indicators, particularly those related to complaint handling and physical comfort, needed improvement. This study highlights the importance of continuous improvement in service quality to meet students’ expectations and strengthen the reputation of the institution. Future research is encouraged to adopt a longitudinal design to assess the sustainability of service improvements and explore the determinants of satisfaction in varying educational contexts.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low environmental literacy and academic achievement of elementary school students. The study aims to measure the effect of Android-based STEM-AR on students' environmental literacy. A quantitative research method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design was used. A total of 31 fifth-grade elementary school students in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, were randomly selected from nine public schools. The research instruments included a lesson plan and an Augmented Reality (AR) medium accessible via Android smartphones. STEM was used as a reference for structuring subject matter. The treatment was conducted four times, each lasting 70 minutes. Students' environmental literacy was measured before and after the treatment using a validated multiple-choice test. Data analysis employed a t-test with a 5% significance level. The Paired Sample Test results showed a sig(2-tailed) value of 0.001 0.05, which led to the rejection of the null hypothesis and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis. This study contributes to proving that Android-based STEM-AR positively influences elementary school students' environmental literacy.
