Abstract

A person's character is very dependent on the environment in which they live and grow into adulthood. This study seeks to reveal one of the indicators of children's character, namely language politeness, especially in the school environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the reality of the condition of language politeness of children to their teachers and schoolmates, to find out the factors that cause language politeness deviations, and to find out the efforts made by schools in dealing with these deviations. This research is a qualitative research that produces descriptive data. Research subjects include teachers and students. The results showed that there were still some children who experienced deviations in language politeness to their teachers and school friends, namely in the form of reluctance to use polite language speech, mutual ridicule/verbal bullying between school friends using the names of parents and the profession of parents, and the unfavorable influence of social media.

Abstract

The success of education cannot be separated from the efforts of the principal as a leader in directing and motivating teachers. This study aims to reveal the principal's leadership strategy in improving teacher professionalism. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, data sources include all teachers and vice principals, while data collection is through interview and documentation techniques. The analysis uses continuous participatory techniques, through the stages of data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the principal's strategy in increasing teacher professionalism was by activating the teacher working group (KKG), motivating teachers, training, comparative studies, teacher evaluation meetings, classroom supervision, giving punishment and rewards, and through a participatory leadership style.

Abstract

Abstract: Adolescent morality is the most strategic foundation for the nation's future development. The emergence of organizations that focus on moral development such as youth hijrah, better known as shift organizations, has attracted a lot of interest among young millennials to join them. The purpose of this study is to reveal the management of the hijrah youth organization in instilling moral education among adolescents. The approach is carried out through a qualitative approach using the literature review method (narrative literature review). This research reveals that hijrah youth organizations have used the strategy of planting branding images in managing their organizations. The organization's members are driven by a millennial youth, a community leader who is appointed as a driving figure for the moral improvement of young people. The implementation of shift organization management is carried out through; (1) the relationship between members is quite communicative, (2) the cool style of young people as branding in instilling a positive impression, (3) the selection of material content close to real life, and (4) blended learning educational methods.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menggambarkan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah madrasah dalam upaya peningkatan kinerja guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dengan metode kualitatif dan subyek penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah madrasah dan guru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis Miles Huberman dengan tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1). Pentingnya peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah madrasah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui peningkatan profesional guru dengan mengikuti seminar, workshop dan Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) (2). Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah madrasah dalam menciptakan iklim budaya sekolah yang kondusif sehingga memberikan semangat guru dalam mengajar siswa sehingga dapat meningkatkan karakter, moral dan akhlak peserta didik.

Abstract

Kepala sekolah dan guru menjadi komponen sentral bagi pengembangan mutu pendidikan, peran dan kepemimpinannya sangat menentukan dalam pencapaian tujuan sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur penilaian kompetensi kepala sekolah dan guru serta hubungan dengan pengembangan mutu sekolah. Responden dalam penelitian ini meliputi 9 kepala sekolah dan 41 orang guru yang merupakan pendidik bersertifikat. Data angket dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan diukur menggunakan SPSS. Hasil penelitian di lapangan menunjukan kompetensi kepala sekolah dan guru termasuk dalam kategori baik yang ditunjukkan oleh: (1) kompetensi kepribadian dan sosial 65% kategori baik (2) kompetensi kepemimpinan 62% kategori baik (3) kompetensi pengembangan sekolah 64% kategori baik (4) kompetensi sumber daya 61% kategori baik (5) kompetensi kewirausahaan 59% kategori baik (6) kompetensi supervisi pembelajaran dengan kategori baik 55%. Penilaian kompetensi guru dengan hasil; (1) kompetensi pedagogik 65% kategori baik (2) kompetensi kepribadian 64% kategori baik (3) kompetensi sosial 69% kategori baik (4) kompetensi profesional 60% kategori baik. Secara umum potret kompetensi kepala sekolah dan guru ini cukup baik untuk memetakan potensi sumber daya sekolah sebgai landasan penerapan kebijakan mutu pendidikan

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the role and participation of the community in the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) and the factors supporting and inhibiting implementation. The research was conducted using observation sheet guides and interview guidelines supported by a review of school administration documents, through a qualitative approach to the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the implementation of SBM was quite successful; this was indicated by a significant change in schools, namely the increase in school quality and increased public interest in Muhammadiyah Mutihan Elementary School. In the implementation of SBM, the school is more flexible because it can manage schools independently, making programs based on the school's needs and abilities. Public participation is quite good; the community always supports and helps school activities and controls the school. Supporting factors in implementing SBM are the community, alumni, foundations, and sponsors. While the inhibiting factor is limited land, schools cannot provide sports fields for students and the limited ability to accompany teachers.

Abstract

The head of the madrasah is the highest leader in the madrasah who also acts as a manager to manage and decide whether or not each input can process and interact positively in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of decisions used by the head of madrasah in making decisions. This study took the setting at Madrasah Tsanawiah Negeri 8 Kebumen, while the research method used a qualitative approach with random sampling. The results of this study are that the majority of innovation decisions in madrasah are included in the type of collective innovation decisions, although some are categorized as authority innovation decisions. The innovation decision does not take place immediately, but through a process of a series of activities with an indefinite period of time.

Abstract

The quality of education is closely related to the literacy culture of the community. The low literacy culture in children is alleged to have been the cause of the low quality of education in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of literacy culture in improving the quality of education, to find out how to increase the literacy culture of students, and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in improving the literacy culture of students. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The results showed that literacy culture is very influential in education, especially to absorb information and increase the skill level of students. Efforts to increase literacy culture include the Literacy Awareness Movement program and collaborating with various elements to increase literacy awareness.

Abstract

Human resource development has a very important role in order to improve the quality of teachers in a school. This study aims to reveal the role of various parties in the context of teacher development. The method used in this study is qualitative with data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. The stages of data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The data sources consist of the Principal, Teachers, Head of the School Committee, and Chair of the PCM (Muhammadiyah branch leader) Jetis Primary and Secondary Education Council (Dikdasmen). The results of the study show that: 1) Schools develop teacher staff in schools, starting from recruitment which is carried out through several stages with a recruitment system developed by involving the School Committee and the Educational Education Council; 2) Schools actively involve participants in activities carried out by the Bantul District Education, Youth and Sports Office and to the District Coordinator in various KKG (teacher working group) activities, training or curriculum refresher, local content training, and a team of question script makers, either at the Jetis District or Bantul District ; 3) The principal has played a role in providing motivation and encouragement in various forms. 4) The School Committee plays a role in providing direction, input, coaching, and evaluating various teacher development activities

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the implementation of the principal's strategy in developing teacher professionalism, teacher professionalism is needed to obtain good quality output. This research is motivated by the importance of education in supporting the future development of the nation and developing the potential of students in facing global competition. The method used in this research is a qualitative case study approach. Sources of data obtained from teachers, data collection through observation, interviews and documents. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis model of Miles and Huberman. The results of this study reveal that the principal's strategy in improving teacher professionalism is carried out through; (1) formulating school planning and development (2) improving teacher work discipline, both in terms of learning, administration, and behavior; (3) conducting regular academic supervision; and (4) collaborate with supervisors, committees, parents, and government agencies.Keywords: principal leadership; academic supervision; teacher professionalism Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan profesionalisme guru, profesionalisme guru sangat dibutuhkan untuk mendapatkan output yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pendidikan dalam mendukung pembangunan masa depan bangsa dan mengembangkan potensi peserta didik dalam menghadapi persaingan global. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif. Sumber data diperoleh dari guru, pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumen. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis data kualitatif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dilakukan melalui; (1) merumuskan perencanaan dan pengembangan sekolah (2) meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru, baik dalam hal pembelajaran, administrasi, maupun perilaku; (3) melakukan supervisi akademik secara berkala; dan (4) bekerjasama dengan pengawas, panitia, orang tua, dan instansi pemerintah..Kata kunci: kepemimpinan kepala sekolah; supervisi akademik; profesionalisme guru
