Abstract

Purpose: This program aims to strengthen the cocoa bean supply chain by empowering local farmers through training in cultivation, post-harvest management, and business partnership, supporting MSME’s Cokelat Candu in Pangkal pinang, Bangka Belitung. Methodology/approach: This program was implemented in Pangkalpinang, Bangka Belitung (May–October 2025) with 40 participants and through coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Cooperatives of MSMEs, surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), training, mentoring, field observations, and interviews with farmers and MSMEs. Results/findings: The program successfully improved farmers’ knowledge and skills in cocoa cultivation and post-harvest management, resulting in higher bean quality and a more stable raw material supply for the Cokelat Candu MSME’s. Key outputs included enhanced farmer capacity, stronger collaboration through the Bangka Kovertur Community (KOKOA), new innovative products such as premium chocolate bars and instant cocoa powder. The activity also fostered synergy between academia, local government, and business actors in creating a sustainable supply chain. Conclusion: Empowering local cocoa farmers has proven effective in improving production quality and ensuring the sustainability of the cocoa supply chain. Strengthening cooperation between farmers and Chocolate MSME’s not only contributes to increasing business competitiveness but also encourages sustainable local economic growth in Bangka Belitung. Limitations: The number of farmers and MSME’s still limited in one region, its evaluation was conducted in the short term. Contribution: This study contributes to agricultural economics, rural development, and entrepreneurship by strengthening local economic resilience through farmer and MSME’s linkages and offering a replicable model for empowering farmers and improving MSME’s competitiveness.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to increase the level of consumer satisfaction with the services provided by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Belitung Regency through the Integrated Statistical Service (PST) by measuring the dimensions of Tangibility, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. Research Methodology: This study employed a quantitative survey method using an administrative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 50 respondents, including government employees, private employees, consultants, students, and the general public who directly accessed BPS services. The questionnaire was designed using a Likert scale, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS and Microsoft Excel. Analytical tools included validity and reliability tests, gap analysis, and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Results: The findings revealed that most consumers were satisfied with BPS services, particularly in terms of reliability, assurance, and empathy. The highest satisfaction was noted in terms of data accuracy and trust in BPS independence, while the lowest scores were in terms of responsiveness and tangibility, especially regarding service speed, clarity of publication information, and availability of facilities. Quadrant analysis highlighted that improving officer responsiveness and the clarity of information should be prioritized. Conclusions: The BPS Belitung Regency has achieved a high level of consumer satisfaction but needs to prioritize improvements in officer performance, data clarity, and service speed to enhance the user experience and maintain trust. Limitation: This research is limited to consumer data that comes directly to BPS offices and does not include online consumer services. Contribution: This study contributes to the literature on public service quality by providing empirical evidence of statistical service performance. It also offers practical recommendations for the BPS to strengthen its service delivery and consumer trust, thereby supporting better data-driven decision-making in the Belitung Regency.

Abstract

Purpose: The economy in the MSME sector is experiencing a great crisis in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. MSME actors must change strategies to adapt to the current pandemic conditions. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Covid 19 on the economy and performance of MSMEs as well as the strategies adopted by MSME players in Bangka Belitung Province. Research methodology: The data collection method employed probability sampling with google form media analyzed by using cross tabulation, trend analysis and simple mathematical modeling in projecting total economic losses to MSMEs that are active in the Bangka Belitung Island Province. Results: The results show that 84.7 percent of MSMEs experienced a negative impact due to the Covid 19 pandemic in the form of a decrease in sales turnover, reduced demand and hampered distribution of raw materials. However, 15.3 percent of MSMEs experienced a positive impact and survived in the Covid 19 pandemic conditions. Some of the strategies implemented by MSMEs to survive in the Covid 19 periods were replacing products sold with products for handling COVID 19 such as masks, hand sanitizers and others. MSME players also changed their sales strategy by selling online and maintaining customer databases. Limitation: Due to the Covid-19 condition, survey activities were carried out by using the Google Form online application. Contribution: MSMEs undertook a more aggressive marketing strategy to maintain turnover value in order to keep growing. Keywords: Covid-19, MSME, Turnover, Competitive strategy

Abstract

Abstract

This study uses survey responses from 321 Indonesian tourists to examine the connection between cultural contact, destination attractiveness, visitor satisfaction, and the likelihood of a revisit intention to Himpang Lime Habang in the South Bangka regency of the Bangka Belitung province, Indonesia. Two significant findings from this investigation were obtained using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling methods. The first finding is the correlation between satisfaction and the likelihood of future visits. Furthermore, a visitor's desire to return is unaffected by the attractiveness of a destination or the amount of cultural contact they have. Even though exposure to local culture and a destination's natural beauty can considerably enhance a visitor's experience, they have little bearing on whether or not someone will return.
