<![CDATA[This activity aims to provide an understanding of the application of digital media in the manufacture and documentation of official letters carried out at SMPN Padang Pariaman Regency. Based on observations, it is known that the structure and language used in official letters are still not in accordance with the rules of the Indonesian language. In addition, it was also found that the preparation and storage of archives in schools was still inadequate. School archives or documents are arranged in a cabinet, so it takes a long time to find them and is not well maintained due to improper arrangement and storage. Therefore, an activity is needed to correct errors in writing official letters and documenting existing school archives. <![CDATA[This research aims to describe how Minangkabau traditional dance knowledge transfer activities in the Arts Activity Unit of Padang State University using the knowledge transfer model of Liyanage et al. (2009). This research is a qualitative research with ethnographic method. The determination of informants in this study was carried out by snowball sampling method. Data collection was conducted using interviews and documentation. Data validation was done by triangulating sources and analysed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that: (1) knowledge awareness of the creation of wave dance and plate dance at UKKES UNP arose because they considered that the previous work had been too long, so it was necessary to make a new dance work, after the last work more than 10 years ago; (2) knowledge acquisition is carried out by selecting advanced members who are then assigned to appreciate other works outside UKKES to broaden the members' insights; (3) knowledge transformation, the new insights they saw and recorded before, were discussed by both fields to start making new movements by the choreographer and new music by the composer; (4) knowledge associations that are applied during the work is realised through rehearsals between members for approximately 3 months, accompanied by evaluations after rehearsals to add or subtract both movements and music that have been made; and (5) knowledge application is the stage where the work has been completed and performed for the first time at Gesika 12 on 30th September 2023, and continues to be performed at other events both on campus and off campus.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to describe how library anxiety is experienced by students and what factors cause library anxiety in students entering 2023 at the Library of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Padang State University using the library anxiety indicator Swigon (2011). This research is qualitative research using the phenemonological method. Determining informants in this research was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using interview and observation methods. Data validation was carried out by triangulating sources and time and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that: (1) the frequency and purpose of students visiting the FBS library is based on different reasons, such as students feeling that the library does not provide the information they need, crowded library conditions sometimes make students afraid to go to the library alone, libraries that often crowded means students don't get any more seats, and library regulations that don't suit students' learning styles; (2) barriers with staff describes a situation where students feel that FBS library staff are intimidating figure; (3) affective barriers which give feelings of fear, awkwardness and discomfort become obstacles when students have to deal with the FBS library; (4) technological barriers where this is not an obstacle for students when using the FBS library because of the ease that students feel when using technology; (5) library knowledge barriers that arise due to students' lack of knowledge of libraries which makes them feel lazy about visiting the FBS library; (6) library comfort barriers are characterized by feelings of discomfort experienced by students while in the FBS library; (7) resource barriers experienced by students where students feel there is still a lack of availability and diversity of collections available in the FBS library.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine; 1) what is the work space layout in the Padang City Library and Archives Service; 2) what is the attitude of librarians at the Padang City Library and Archives Service; 3) what is the relationship between librarians' attitudes towards work space layout in the Padang City Library and Archives Service. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The population of this research was 15 librarians with a sample of 15 respondents. Sampling used a saturated sampling technique. The main instrument of this research is a questionnaire. The instrument tests used are validity tests and reliability tests. Test the analysis requirements using the Spearman rank correlation test, hypothesis test and coefficient of determination test. The research results show that the results of the Spearman Rank correlation analysis show that the correlation between work space layout and librarian attitudes is 0.744. With a correlation value of 0.744, if seen from the table, this figure is in the interval 0.60 – 0.799 with a strong level of relationship. Based on the correlation coefficient hypothesis test, it can be seen that the value of Fcount (13.075) > Ftable (5.14) means there is a relationship between the work space layout variable and the librarian attitude variable. The results of this research found that the higher the work space layout in the library, the higher the quality of the librarian's attitude in working in the library.]]>

<![CDATA[Generation Z's interest in reading is still relatively low when compared to the use of gadgets in their lives. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of bibliotherapy activities as a medium for solving generation Z problems which later were expected to increase their reading interest in books. This type of research is descriptive qualitative by interviewing five (5) informants from Generation Z in Nagari Padang Lua and Ladang Laweh, Banuhampu District, Agam Regency. From the results of the study, it was stated that there was a positive influence from bibliotherapy activities where those who were busy with their respective gadgets now tend to choose to finish reading the books that have been provided by the research team and discuss the problems they face. The hope is that the love for books can be maintained so that it can become a habit and even the reading culture of Generation Z in Nagari Padang Lua and Ladang Laweh, Banuhampu District, Agam Regency.]]>

<![CDATA[Rapid technological developments are not directly proportional to the management of records in an agency. This is evidenced by the fact that there are still many agencies that still manage their archives manually so that it takes a long time for the processing to reach the information retrieval process. One agency that has not yet managed its archives electronically is the Wali Nagari Dilam Office, Solok Regency. Therefore, there is a need for training related to managing records electronically using the ARTERI application to make it easier for village officials to manage their records. After conducting the training, there was an increase in the ability of the participants by as much as 70% so it is hoped that it will increase again so that all archives can be managed properly and can be found quickly and precisely.]]>

<![CDATA[Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) yang telah dilakukan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam menulis artikel ilmiah, selain itu kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk memudahkan guru dalam melakukan penelusuran informasi dalam bentuk literasi digital untuk data-data yang akan dijadikan dalam tulisannya. Kegiatan ini juga merupakan langkah awal menyiapkan guru untuk menjadi guru yang profesional. Metode pengabdian ini adalah metode pelatihan. Mitra penelitian ini adalah SDN 20 Koto Gaek Guguk. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket kepuasaan yang diberikan kepada peserta pelatihan dan kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil angket kepuasaan, kegiatan pengabdian ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis artikel ilmiah guru SDN 20 Koto Gaek Guguk, hal ini juga didukung oleh hasil tulisan guru yang dikumpulkan. Sebagian besar guru sudah mampu menghasilkan artikel ilmiah dari laporan penelitian tindakan kelas yang biasa ditulis guru. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga meningkatkan semua kemampuan guru SDN 20 Koto Gaek Guguk dalam menulis artikel ilmiah dan tata cara publikasi artikel ilmiah yang sesui dengan template yang sudah ditentukan pihak jurnal.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to describe the effectiveness of using INLISLite for the West Sumatra Province Archives and Library Service using the Human Organization Technology (HOT) Fit Model. This research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The population in this study were librarians who used INLISLite while on duty at the West Sumatra Province Archives and Library Service, totaling 13 librarians with sampling using a saturated sampling technique. The main instrument used is a research questionnaire which has been tested for validity and reliability. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. Data were analyzed through inspection and tabulation stages. The research results are: First, the Human Indicator obtained an average value of 2.60 which is on an interval scale of 2.50 - 3.24 so it is included in the good category. Second, the Organizational Indicator (Organization) obtained an average of 3.16 which is on an interval scale of 2.50 - 3.24 so it is included in the good category. Third, the Technology Indicator (Technology) obtained an average of 3.21 which is on an interval scale of 2.50 - 3.24 so it is included in the good category. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the Effectiveness of Using INLISLite using the HOT Fit Model obtained an average of 2.99. This score is in the interval 2.50 - 3.24 so it is included in the good category.]]>

<![CDATA[This research examines the implementation of collection development at the West Sumatra Province Archives and Library Service in an effort to fulfill the information needs of users. Libraries play an important role in preserving knowledge and culture, therefore, a clear collection development policy that involves all relevant parties is very necessary. The research uses descriptive methods to provide a detailed picture of the process and challenges in collection development.The research results show that library needs analysis is carried out regularly through surveys to ensure collections cover various age groups and information needs. Library material selection policies are influenced by the budget prepared by the government and additional sources such as grants. Selection of library materials is carried out annually based on a survey of library needs with references from publisher catalogues, the internet and reviews. The procurement process involves the stages of selection, purchasing and processing of library materials using the Inlislite system. Weeding is carried out to maintain the relevance and quality of the collection, although limited funds are an obstacle in this process. Collection eval_uation is carried out to ensure the relevance and physical condition of library materials.In conclusion, library collection development must consider budget, user needs, and relevance of information to ensure the collection remains high quality and useful. The main challenges faced include a lack of collaboration between librarians and users, funding uncertainty, and a lack of supporting facilities and infrastructure.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of room lighting intensity on the visual comfort of users in the Metamedia University library. This study is a type of quantitative research with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through distributing questionnaires at the Metamedia University Library. The population in this study were all students of Metamedia University totaling 1000 people. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a sample size of 100 respondents. The data collection technique was carried out by distributing questionnaires to the research sample. In this study, the data analysis technique used quantitative statistics. Based on the results of the data analysis, this study obtained the results that there was an influence between natural and artificial lighting on the visual comfort of users in the Metamedia University library.]]>
