Abstract

This study examines the association between training perceptions and employee performance in a social forestry administration in Indonesia. A quantitative, cross-sectional survey was conducted at the Balai Perhutanan Sosial dan Kemitraan Lingkungan Sulawesi, Section One, Bili-Bili, Gowa, involving all forty employees who had participated in formal training programs. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and supported by brief interviews and document review. Results indicate generally favorable perceptions of training and high self-reported performance levels. Regression analysis shows a strong positive correlation between training and performance, suggesting that well-delivered and relevant training is associated with higher perceived effectiveness, timeliness, and initiative. However, as the data are cross-sectional and self-reported from a single organization, causality cannot be inferred. The findings are preliminary and should be interpreted as indicative rather than conclusive. They highlight potential areas for further investigation on how communicative instruction, relevant materials, and interactive methods contribute to improved workplace outcomes. Future research employing longitudinal and multi-source designs is needed to verify these relationships and support evidence-based policy development in public sector training.

Abstract

This study examines the role of digitalization in improving the business performance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Makassar City, Indonesia. Specifically, it analyzes the effects of digital marketing, e-commerce usage, and digital payment adoption on sales growth, operational efficiency, and market expansion. The research employed a quantitative cross-sectional survey design using purposive sampling, involving 110 MSME owners and managers who had adopted at least one digital tool. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that all three digitalization variables significantly and positively influence MSME performance. The regression model demonstrates strong explanatory power, with an R² value of 0.568, meaning that 56.8 percent of the variance in business performance is explained by the digitalization variables. Among the predictors, digital marketing shows the strongest effect, followed by e-commerce usage and digital payment systems. These findings highlight the central role of digital marketing in enhancing visibility, customer engagement, and competitive positioning in urban markets. Despite these positive effects, several barriers constrain the full realization of digital benefits, including low digital literacy, limited internet infrastructure, and high promotional costs. These challenges suggest that digital transformation requires not only technology adoption but also ecosystem support. Practically, the study recommends targeted digital literacy training, improved infrastructure investment, and financial incentives to reduce promotional costs and support sustainable MSME digital transformation in urban Indonesia.

Abstract

This systematic literature review explores the interconnected dimensions of digital innovation, gender equality, and sustainability in women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The primary aim is to synthesize existing knowledge to address integration challenges these enterprises face. The researchers analyzed 436 peer-reviewed articles from the Scopus database, published between 2010 and 2025, using bibliometric and qualitative thematic techniques based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology. Findings highlight that digital innovation significantly enhances market access, operational efficiency, and resource mobilization, empowering women entrepreneurs to overcome structural barriers. Gender equality initiatives play a crucial role in creating supportive ecosystems, promoting diverse leadership styles, and fostering inclusive organizational cultures conducive to sustainable business practices. Thematic analyses reveal specific success factors including robust social networks, targeted mentorship programs, and inclusive financial mechanisms. However, systemic barriers persist, notably limited access to capital, entrenched sociocultural biases, and insufficient digital literacy. Methodologically, research predominantly utilizes quantitative approaches, suggesting a need for integrated mixed-method frameworks to better capture nuanced entrepreneurial experiences. Geographical disparities indicate that women entrepreneurs face different challenges and opportunities across developed and developing contexts, underscoring the necessity for context-specific policy interventions. This review adds to our understanding by combining ideas from entrepreneurial ecosystem perspectives, Gender Empowerment Theories, and the Resource-Based View, providing a complete look at sustainable, fair, and digitally innovative business practices. Future research should focus on intersectional methodologies, longitudinal studies, and comparative analyses across diverse contexts.

Abstract

The purpose of the researcher in writing this thesis is to determine the effect of economic growth on poverty in Selayar Islands Regency. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with simple regression analysis, using secondary data from 2014-2023. The results of the study indicate that although there has been economic growth in Selayar Islands Regency in recent years, this growth has not had a significant effect on poverty levels. This can be caused by the uneven distribution of the benefits of economic growth, where economic growth is only enjoyed by a small part of society, especially high-income groups, while most people, especially those in the lower classes, do not feel the benefits.
