Abstract

This article deals with traditional religious authority in a given context, namely the village of Madani in Riau, Sumatra, Indonesia. It specifically asks how this traditional religious authority is established and shaped in the context of an Indonesian rural Muslim society. This article uses observation and interviews to collect data based on an ethnographic study. This village is selected to be the place of study because it represents the typical characteristics of Indonesian villages. This article finds that traditional religious authority in Indonesia is not established and shaped linearly. However, it is compromised and contested. Although Muslims in this community regard a Kiai as a respected man having a religious charisma, this society also contests his religious authority to contribute to the resignation of the kiai from the Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School). This resignation supports him in developing his Tariqah (Sufi Order), followed by many community Muslims. Although he does not own a Pesantren, it indicates that his religious authority has been negotiated through the Tariqah. This negotiation implicates that traditional religious authority in Indonesia is not given without contestation from the Muslim community. Furthermore, it also indicates that traditional religious authority's trajectory and shape in rural areas are not monolithic, depending on society's social and cultural context.

Abstract

Peneltian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya ketertarikan menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang tidak membosankan dan membuat siswa lebih memahami dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, diantaranya menggunakan penerapan Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka ada tiga fokus penelitian, yaitu:pertama, penerapan Cooperative Learning Tipe Jigsaw; kedua, kelebihan dari  penerapan Cooperative learning tipe Jigsaw; dan ketiga, kendala yang dihadapi dari penerapan Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsawpada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas VII di MTs Sunan Kalijaga Larangan Luar Pamekasan.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan sumber datanya yaitu guru bahasa Indonesia dan siswa. Dalam pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan melalui perpanjang keikutsertaan, ketekunan pengamatan, dan triangulasi. Dengan menggunakan metode ini menunjukkan siswa lebih aktif dan antusias untuk berdiskusi dalam pelajaran.

Abstract

The activity was conducted at the Lamongan district education office hall and involved 50 education units. The activity was conducted through lecture mode and reflection of education units with accreditation instruments. From the socialisation activities, it was found that some education units still do not understand the quality assurance of education through accreditation, the diversity of the level of understanding of education quality assurance has an impact on the implementation of learning carried out is still not in accordance with national education standards. The need to improve the quality of education through accreditation instruments is expected to implement learning objectives as expected.

Abstract

This article aims to identify the social conflicts faced by the main character, explain the causes of the main character’s social and to analyze the solution to the main character’s social conflicts in the movie “Agent Carter Season 1”. Library research was used as the approach of this study, with data sources obtained through movie “Agent Carter Season 1” as the object of research. The researcher used the movie “Agent Carter Season 1” as primary data and obtained secondary data from several books, journals, internet sources, and other references. The results of this study indicate that the researcher found several social conflicts faced by Agent Carter, the main character in the movie. The social conflict that Agent Carter faced, such as conflict of interest, conflict of involving social position, and conflict of role. The researcher also found the causes of social conflicts faced by Agent Carter, namely differences between individuals, differences in interests, and social change. In addition, the researcher found problem-solving in social conflicts faced by Agent Carter, such as competing, collaborating, and compromising. It can be concluded that the researcher found three social matches faced by the main characters, three causes of social conflicts faced by the main characters, and three problems and solutions to social disputes faced by the main characters.

Abstract

Honesty is a very important moral value in human life. Without honesty, relationships between individuals, families and communities can be damaged. Therefore, it is important to teach the value of honesty to children from an early age so that they grow into honest and responsible individuals through traditional games. This study aims to describe the implementation of character education through the traditional congklak game on the Hari Tumpah Budaya (HTB) at TK Kusuma Bangsa Keben Turi Lamongan. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method, with a descriptive research type. As for the determination of research subjects using purposive techniques, with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. While the data analysis uses descriptive analysis with the Miles and Hubberman models, namely data condensation, presentation and conclusions. To test the validity of the data using source and technique triangulation. The results of this study are that there is an application of honest character, namely honesty in relationships between children and honesty in self-acceptance. In addition, the research also identified the impacts, problems and solutions that arise in the implementation of honest character values through the traditional congklak game on the Hari Tumpah Budaya (HTB) at TK Kusuma Bangsa Keben Turi Lamongan. Abstract

Kedisiplinan adalah nilai yang baik dalam pembentukan karakter agar seseorang dapat mengatur dirinya sendiri menjadi orang yang baik. Penanaman karakter disiplin diri di lingkungan keluarga diharapkan mampu mempengaruhi kepribadian anak menjadi lebih baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan Desa Surabayan, Kecamatan Sukodadi, Kabupaten Lamongan dengan melibatkan 52 orang tua yang memiliki anak-anak usia 7 hingga 9 tahun. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penanaman karakter disiplin diri terhadap kepribadian anak di lingkungan keluarga Desa Surabayan Kecamatan Sukodadi Kabupaten Lamongan. Instumen penelitian berupa angket/kuesioner dengan skala likert. Pada penelitian ini metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh penanaman karakter disiplin diri di lingkungan keluarga terhadap kepribadian anak di desa Surabayan, kecamatan Sukodadi, kabupaten Lamongan.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam menghadapi akreditasi madrasah berbasis Instrumen Akreditasi Penjaminan Mutu Madrasah (IAPDM) 2024. Kegiatan ini melibatkan kepala madrasah dan guru yang memperoleh materi terkait instrumen integrasi akreditasi dengan program-program yang berjalan di madrasah. Peserta juga mendapatkan pengalaman praktis dalam menyusun deskripsi kinerja asesi, yakni narasi berbasis data yang mencerminkan pencapaian indikator mutu pendidikan. Selama pelatihan, peserta menerima umpan balik konstruktif terkait analisis teori dan penerapan praktis, yang memungkinkan mereka menyempurnakan dan melaporkan kinerja. Kepuasan peserta terlihat melalui antusiasme dalam membicarakan rencana penelitian disertasi, termasuk validitas metode analisis data yang digunakan. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi peserta, baik dalam memahami teori, menerapkan instrumen akreditasi, maupun mengembangkan penelitian berbasis data yang valid. Pelatihan ini memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam mendukung upaya perbaikan mutu madrasah sekaligus memperkuat kapasitas akademik peserta dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Fry readability-based digital storybooks on reading comprehension skills among elementary school students. The method used in this study was an experimental research design with a pretest-posttest control group design to measure students’ reading comprehension skills. The sample of this study was fourth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through reading comprehension skills test sheets and analyzed using descriptive and statistical analysis to assess the extent to which the variables being studied align with the predetermined benchmarks. The results showed that digital storybooks based on Fry's graph readability are effective in improving the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade elementary school students as evidenced by the n-gain test results, where the experimental class (medium) had higher scores than the control class (low). Based on the t-test, it has a significant effect with a calculated t-value greater than the table t-value. These findings show that books designed according to the grade level of students have an impact on reading comprehension skills, and the integration of digital technology in book development can attract students' attention to read with full understanding.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemahiran guru dalam membuat desain pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi pembelajaran mendalam. Sebanyak 400 guru dari sekolah dasar hingga sekolah menengah di Kabupaten Lamongan berpartisipasi dalam workshop selama tujuh hari di mana mereka memperoleh pemahaman konseptual tentang prinsip-prinsip pembelajaran mendalam dan pelatihan praktis dalam membuat rencana pembelajaran yang mendorong aktivitas eksploratif, elaboratif, dan reflektif. Ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, studi kasus, dan pendampingan langsung oleh narasumber adalah beberapa strategi implementasinya. Berdasarkan evaluasi kegiatan, pemahaman peserta tentang pembelajaran mendalam dan kemampuan mereka untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang relevan meningkat secara signifikan. Antusiasme yang tinggi dan keinginan untuk menggunakan strategi ini dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar juga terlihat jelas dalam tanggapan peserta. Latihan ini menunjukkan bagaimana workshop yang menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dan interaktif dapat menjadi alat yang berguna untuk membantu pendidik profesional menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna.

Abstract

Accreditation socialization is a strategic step in building a comprehensive and holistic understanding of the education quality assurance system. In the context of 21st-century education, it is crucial to integrate a learning approach that emphasizes higher-order thinking skills into this socialization process. This article aims to discuss the concept, implementation, and benefits of the HOTS approach in accreditation socialization activities. Using a literature review and a simple case study, this article presents how HOTS can enhance understanding, active participation, and innovation in the accreditation process.
