Abstract

Abstract.This study aims to describe the ability to write new poetry in Makassar language through audiovisual media for class VIII students of SMPN 1 Takalar. The population in this study were all 256 grade VIII students of SMPN 1 Takalar, Takalar Regency, spread across 8 classes. The sample was determined as many as 33 students of SMPN 1 Takalar, Takalar Regency. The type of sampling used is cluster random sampling. This research was conducted twice with research subjects namely class VIII-A students, totaling 33 people, carried out in an odd semester, on March 13 and March 20 2023 to be precise using data collection techniques in the form of performance tests (writing poetry, while analysis techniques the data used is descriptive statistics. The results of the research on the ability to write new poetry in Makassar have reached the criterion of 75%. which shows that the sample that got a score of 75-100 totaled 26 students (78.8%) and the sample that got a score of 0-74 totaled 7 students (21.2%) This shows that the ability to write new poetry in Makassar class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Takalar Takalar Regency were declared capable.Keywords: New Poetry, Writing Skill, Makassar Language, Local Language

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to reveal the syncretism that occurs in the process of the pangnganreang appanaung tradition in the Bontolangkasa community, Kec. Bontonompo Kab. Gowa seen from religion. This study uses qualitative research methods with analysis of syncretism theory. Data in this study were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data was obtained from the angulated process using the angulated data source technique and the triangulation technique to assess the credibility of the data by checking the data to the same source using observation and interview techniques. The results of this study are the syncretism that occurs in the process of the appanaung pannganreang tradition in the Bontolangkasa community, Bontonompo District, Gowa Regency from a religious perspective. This study shows that the appanaung pannganreang procession is carried out on the seventh day, the tenth day, the fortieth day, or the hundredth day. If you look at the relationship between this tradition and the Islamic religion, it is actually not contradictory because in Islam we are ordered to give alms, while the appanaung pannganreang tradition is an activity carried out to give alms to people.Keywords: Appanaung pannganreang, Syncretisme.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Takalar menerjemahkan kelong panngajarakna gurungku karya Kembong Daeng. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Takalar yang berjumlah 257 siswa. Adapun sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampel acak (random sampling). Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Takalar menerjemahkan kelong Panngajarakna Gurungku karya Kembong Daeng berada pada kategori tidak mampu, hal tersebut ditunjukkan dari 32 sampel yang telah ditetapkan, siswa yang memperoleh nilai rentang 0-64 kategori tidak mampu sebanyak 25 siswa (78%) yang menjadi tingkat kemampuan paling tinggi. Hal itu dibuktikan dari perolehan nilai siswa dari keempat aspek penilaian yaitu ketepatan diksi (pilihan kata), ejaan dan tata tulis, pemakaian kosakata dan katepatan makna cerita. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, sebaiknya guru melatih kemampuan berbahasa daerah kepada siswa agar bahasanya tidak terlupakan terutama dalam pembelajaran, khususnya tentang menerjemahkan kelong Makassar ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Bagi siswa sebaiknya membiasakan diri berbahasa daerah agar para siswa tetap mengetahui bahasa daerahnya. Kata kunci: kemampuan menerjemahkan, kelong Makassar.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to describe the ability to write experience stories in Makassar language for Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Takalar, Takalar Regency. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research variable is the ability to write experience stories in Makassar language for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Takalar, Takalar Regency. The population in this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Takalar and the research sample was students of class VIII 2 SMP Negeri 1 Takalar, Takalar Regency. The data collection technique used was a written test technique. Data analysis techniques according to Sugiyono, 2011: 49 namely: (1) making a list of raw scores, (2) making distributions of frequencies and average scores, (3) making tables of classifying student abilities. The results of this study indicate that students' scores on the ability to write experiential stories in Makassar language are inadequate because the average value of the entire sample is only 67.5 not achieving an ability score that is above 75 which shows that the sample obtaining a score of 75-100 totaled 11 students (35.48%) and the sample obtaining a score of 0-74 totaled 20 students (64.52%). This shows that the ability to write experiences in Makassar language, class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Takalar, Takalar Regency, are categorized as incapacitated. Keywords: Ability, Writing, Experience Stories, Makassar Language.

Abstract

The Nature of Consciousness in the Main Character in the Egocentric Novel by Syahid Muhammad Psychoanalytic Review by Carl Gustav Jung. The purpose of this research is to identify the nature of consciousness based on the personality of the main character in the novel Egicentric by Syahid Muhammad using Carl Gustav Jung's psychoanalytic theory. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with using psychoanalytic theory. The results of this study indicate the nature of consciousness, namely mental attitude, found introverted personality from Fatih's indifferent and insecure personality, while exnoverted personality was found from Fatih's personality who pays attention to environmental conditions. feeling introversion from the aura of melancholy he emits, the type of sensing introversion seen from Fatih's closed personality.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the forms of use of various slang languages in the salon worker community and to describe the function of the use of various slang languages in the salon worker community. This research uses descriptive and qualitative methods. Descriptive research takes the form of recording or other official records. Data collection techniques include observing, listening, interviews, and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used are data transcription, data grouping, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The research results obtained focus on the form and function of the use of various slang languages in the salon worker community. The results of research on the variety of slang language in the salon worker community show ten data points on various forms of slang language, namely acronym slang form, metathesis slang form, abbreviation slang form, ephenthesis slang form, combination slang form "e+ong", additional slang form "pa/pi/pu/pe/po", slang form based on repetition of vowel sounds in a series of words, geographical slang form, slang form of animal names, and trademark slang form. There are also three data points on the functions of various slang languages in the salon worker community, consisting of the satire function, the entertaining function, and the euphemism function.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif bertujuan mendeskripsikan penguasaan BISINDO kosakata istilah kekerabatan pada siswa SLB Minasa Baji Kabupaten Maros. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SLB Minasa Baji Kabupaten Maros yang berjumlah 88 siswa. Adapun sampel yang ditetapkan sebanyak 30 siswa ABK tuna wicara SLB Kabupaten Maros. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampel jenuh dengan pertimbangan subjek yang diteliti mempunyai sifat dan kemampuan yang homogen. Teknik dalam mengumpulkan data adalah teknik tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penguasaan BISINDO kosakata istilah kekerabatan pada siswa SLB Minasa Baji Kabupaten Maros dikategorikan cukup. Hal ini disebabkan oleh hasil perolehan persentase yang memperoleh nilai 75 ke atas sebanyak 9 siswa (30%) dan yang memperoleh nilai 75 ke bawah sebanyak 21 siswa (70%). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan BISINDO siswa SLB Minasa Baji Kabupaten Maros tersebut belum mencapai kriteria yaitu 75%.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara bahasa dan struktur sosial dalam teks pidato Presiden Republik Indonesia Joko Widodo tahun 2022. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan perspektif Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) atau Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) yang diperkenalkan oleh Norman Fairclough. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang timbal balik antara bahasa dengan pencitraan Presiden Republik Indonesia Joko Widodo dan para audiens dengan memanfaatkan berbagai strategi bahasa tertentu seperti struktur, tata bahasa, koherensi dan konjungsi.

Abstract

Tujuan pada penelitian ini ialah menganalisis strategi kesantunan yang digunakan dalam interaksi program acara TV Dahsyat RCTI. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa tuturan, kata-kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang mengandung strategi kesantunan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah video yang berasal dari Channel Youtube RCTI Entertainment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga strategi kesantunan, yaitu strategi kesantunan negatif, strategi kesantunan positif dan strategi kesantunan terus terang. Strategi yang paling sering diterapkan dalam acara TV Dahsyat ialah strategi kesantunan positif dan strategi kesantunan terus terang.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate translanguaging in a Bilingual classroom. Hence, this research tries to know the students’ perception of translanguaging classroom interaction. This research focused on the student’s perception of translanguaging. This research applied a qualitative method, the instruments were interviews. The result of the interview was transcribed and analyzed based on the research focus. The findings of this research show that translanguaging facilitates the teaching and learning of the Mathematic bilingual program makes their English teaching in the classroom effective and makes the students understand the teaching and learning material well. The way lecturers conduct translanguaging is based on the situation of the students. If the students do not understand what the lecturers explain in English, they will use translanguaging in the classroom to make the teaching and learning process. Students have positive responses about the bilingual practice in Mathematics class.
