Abstract

Konstruksi perkerasan jalan merupakan konstruksi yang terletak antara lapisan tanah dasar dan roda kendaraan. Pada umumnya, lapisan campuran material penyusun perkerasan saling terintegrasi. Hal tersebut dikarenakan fungsi utama dari lapisan penyusun tersebut adalah untuk mereduksi beban yang terjadi dari kendaraan-kendaraan yang melintas dan selanjutnya didistribusikan ke lapisan yang terletak dibawahnya. Perkerasan jalan dibagi menjadi tiga yaitu perkerasan kaku (rigid pavement) dimana material pengikatnya menggunakan semen, perkerasan lentur (flexible pavement) dimana material pengikatnya menggunakan aspal, dan perkerasan komposit dimana material pengikatnya merupakan kombinasi antara aspal dan semen. Pada penelitian ini dibahas tentang penggunaan limbah PVC sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan mutu pada campuran perkerasan. Limbah PVC tersebut akan dicampur dengan material penyusun campuran lainnya yang telah disesuaikan dengan standar-standar yang berlaku. Limbah PVC yang tidak dapat diolah akan menumpuk dan beresiko mencemari lingkungan dan mengancam kesehatan. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan limbah PVC ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi jumlah limbah PVC. Dari hasil penelitian maka diperoleh kesimpulan beda uji konvensional memiliki nilai rata-rata MQ 825.769 kg/mm, nilai rata-rata VIM 6.833%, nilai rata-rata VMA 19.475% dan nilai rata-rata VFA 77.888%. Sedangkan benda uji yang ditambahkan limbah PVC dengan persentase berturut-turut 2%, 4% dan 6% memiliki nilai rata-rata MQ 734.180 kg/mm, 820.691 kg/mm dan 1165.360 kg/mm. Nilai rata-rata VIM 7.0%, 6.9%, dan 6.7%. Nilai rata-rata VMA 19.575%, 19.213%, 19.352%. Nilai rata-rata VFA 78.791%, 85.657%, 84.782%.

Abstract

Literasi keuangan (financial literacy) merupakan suatu ilmu yang harus dimiliki setiap individu agar dapat terhindar dari masalah keuangan. Di zaman yang serba canggih dengan teknologi internet yang dapat dijangkau hanya dengan ujung jari, produk/jasa finansial yang muncul semakin bervariasi. Akibatnya, banyak masyarakat Indonesia sulit untuk membedakan layanan keuangan yang resmi maupun tidak, Rendahnya literasi keuangan telah membuat banyak warga Indonesia terjerat investasi illegal atau investasi bodong. Maka dari itu, penulis tertarik untuk melakukan pengabdian masyarakat kepada siswa siswi SMA Yehonala Batam dengan tujuan membantu pemerintah mengurangi tingginya angka korban investasi bodong, serta memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya literasi finansial kepada siswa siswi SMA Yehonala Batam.

Abstract

Sekolah merupakan tempat dimana para peserta didik untuk mendapatkan ilmu dan pengalaman sosial yang dimana hal tersebut akan sangat membantu mereka dalam masa depan mereka nantinya tapi hal tersebut tidak akan cukup bagi mereka dalam menghadapi tatangan di kehidupan sehari-hari mereka karena selain ilmu dan pengalaman sosial mereka juga perlu yang namanya kecakapan hidup (Life Skill). Kebanyakan sekolah sekarang hanya lebih fokus dalam penilaian para peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari implementasi ini adalah untuk memberikan wawasan dan pemahaman lebih dalam tentang kecakapan hidup (Life Skill) kepada para peserta didik agar dapat terciptanya generasi yang berencana. Pengimplementasi tersebut akan dilaksanakan dengan cara webinar, pemberian video animasi, dan soal kuis. Setelah pengimplementasian tersebut para peserta didik akan memdapatkan ilmu dan persiapan dalam menghadapi tantangan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari ini agar dapat terlaksana secara efektif dan efesien. Dan sekolah sadar bahwa ilmu kecakapan hidup (Life Skill) memang perlu diajarkan kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

Berdasarkan survey yang baru diliris oleh Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII) dilaporkan bahwa penetrasi internet tertinggi berada di kelompok usia 13-18 tahun. Hampir seluruhnya (99,16%) kelompok usia tersebut merupakan pengguna internet. Dampak dari pengguna internet pada usia 13-18 tahun tanpa adanya pengawasan atau edukasi terkait penggunaan internet yang sehat dan aman akan membawa dampak yang buruk. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengedukasi mengenai penggunaan internet yang sehat dan aman melalui program Nacospro ini yang merupakan project mata kuliah pancasila dan kewarganegaraan. Kami selaku tim dan penulis mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan mitra siswa dan siswi SMPS KARTINI 2 BATAM. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode pelaksanaan webinar dengan luaran video edukasi. Dengan metode ini di harapkan seluruh siswa dan siswi SMPS KARTINI 2 BATAM dapat mempelajari lebih dalam mengenai penggunaan internet sehat dan aman

Abstract

Pavement is an integrated structure between various layers of a particular material mixture where each layer’s main function is to reduce the loading that occurs on top of it, which is instead distributed to layers underneath. Pavement is divided into 2 (two), namely flexible pavement using asphalt as a binding material and rigid pavement using cement as a binding material. This study discusses the use of ceramic waste as an alternative aggregate replacement in the pavement mixture. Waste pieces of ceramics that are no longer used will be filtered based on gradations that have been adapted to applicable regulations. Ceramic pieces are easy to find in various construction projects, the use of ceramic waste as a mixture is expected to be able to reduce the budget and reduce the waste of ceramic pieces themselves. Based on the results of laboratory tests, it is known that asphalt using ceramic waste as an alternative to coarse aggregate meets the minimum specifications of Bina Marga. MQ value of 722,211 kg/mm, VIM value of 4,54%, VMA value of 20,04% and VFA value of 81,76% where the overall value are in accordance with the 2018 Bina Marga minimum specifications. Based on laboratory testing, ceramic waste can be used as an alternative to coarse aggregate.

Abstract

Batam City’s government has focused on exploring its tourism potential in recent years. This makes Batam the 3rd largest city in the number of tourist arrivals after Bali and Jakarta. Batam is one of the cities that is trying to develop the potential of an old village. There are at least 37 areas that have been agreed upon by the government and the community as Kampung Tua. Kampung Tua is a group of houses that function as neighborhoods the original inhabitants of Batam City when Batam began to be built, containing historical values, local culture, or religion that were preserved. This research aims to determine the design of the concept of urban tourism in Kampung Tua Tanjungriau. The method used in this research is the qualitative approach. Data collection was performed with observation, documentation, literature study, and data from local government. The result of this research is the design of urban tourism in Kampung Tua Tanjungriau such as physical and non-physical components of the Kampung Tua Tanjungriau area which has an interesting collaborative design between urban design and urban tourism.

Abstract

The construction service sector is one of the many business fields that are classified as very prone to accidents. This research takes a case study, namely the Bali Kura-Kura Creative Campus Development Project which requires a lot of human resources and is of course prone to construction accidents due to negligence or human error. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of accident risk that occurs and provide K3 recommendations after knowing the level of accident risk. In this study the questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. Questionnaires were compiled from predetermined research variables. After knowing the variables and data, the next step is to apply the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) method The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is the calculation using the HIRA method, which is that there are activities with a low risk level of 3 (15%) sources in the excavation area. Then there are 5 sources (25%) that are included in the medium risk level and 10 sources (50%) of the risk that are included in the high risk category found in all activity areas. Meanwhile, in the extreme risk category, there are 2 sources (10%) found in the excavation area and based on the analysis, it can be seen that the recommendations for improvement proposals that can be made include tightening supervision on each worker activity, enforcing SOPs for each activity, providing safety signs on certain areas that may pose a potential hazard, provide personal protective equipment (PPE).

Abstract

The volume of vehicle traffic or the number of vehicles is one of the factors that affect the damage or causes of road damage. Flexible pavement is generally used on roads in Indonesia, especially in urban areas with high traffic levels. With the increasing number of vehicles every year in the city of Batam, there is a possibility that the roads in Batam will experience accelerated road damage in a relatively short period of time or not in accordance with the road plan age. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the number of vehicles on the level of road damage on flexible pavement. This study uses an analytical method by looking for a correlation or relationship between the number of vehicles and the number of road damage levels, and the method used is nonlinear regression analysis, namely by comparing the two variables x to the variable y and to obtain the results of the relationship function between the two variables with the R2 value of the coefficient of determination. From the equation that has been obtained, the value of the coefficient x1 = 0.00241, which can be defined if the number of vehicles crossing the road is 100 vehicles/day, then the road damage caused by the number of vehicles is 0.241, while for the coefficient x2 = -0 .0016786 which can be defined if the age of the road section reaches 100 hours, the value of road damage on this section is -0.0167, and constant = 75.418

Abstract

Residential housing development in Batam as an urban city has grown well. However, housing developers' increased construction on small, medium, and high density has massively affected concrete volume and rebar (steel reinforcement). Hence, the purpose of structural engineering analysis had to have a brilliant idea to provide a way of design and implementation to reduce the uses of the concrete and reinforcement without reducing the strength and serviceability of structures. An efficient concrete volume and rebar with the same structure strengths is the goal of this research. A simple two- or three-story house structure elements consist of foundation, column, beam, and slab. At this time, what to achieve is to provide a design that can reduce the use of the concrete volume of slab compared between conventional and ribbed slabs. For the typical slab design, what to achieve is the deflection of the slab, which can be categorized as serviceability. Limitations of this case are only for a simple slab layout of 5m x 5m and focus on optimizing the volume concrete efficiency with all dead load and living load if referred to our Indonesian Standard (SNI). Specification of beam and column design did not consider in this research. This research methodology is running model the slab design between a conventional and ribbed slab using ETABS. The study will provide a structural detail between these two-slab designs and dimensions.

Abstract

Belakang Padang is one of the islands located in Batam City hinterland area. It is known as “Pulau Penawar Rindu” and has become one of tourism interest in Batam City. Even though it has become a tourism interest, Belakang Padang island lacks a map for tourist navigation. This community service aim to help Belakang Padang island by making a map based on data elevation model (DEM). By using ArcGIS as the data processing, a navigation map is created as a tourism property. The map contains the basic information of the island such as transportation route, geographical element, and place of interest. Future project can be done by expanding the information provided by the map.
