Abstract

Abstract

When compared to other districts in Bali Province, Klungkung has the lowest performance accountability score. The current study aims to evaluate the technical and psychological aspects of performance indicators development process of the local government. The technical aspect evaluation was done by implementing logic model analysis procedures and adopting a four-quadrant analysis approach. The  psychological aspect analysis was conducted by examining the motivational factors taken from the perspective of Institutional Theory for determining individual behavior in developing performance indicators in governmental organizations. The results show that there is a discrepancy in the number of performance indicators presented in the planning and performance reporting documents, as well as an absence of logical relationships among them. Psychologically, the quality of Klungkung’s performance indicators development is determined by the perception of the performance indicators matrix difficulty, the perceived usefulness of technical training, the level of top management commitment, the assertiveness enforcement of the regulations, and the existence of social pressure and pressure on professionalism. It can be implied that technical policies need to be formulated by local government organizations.

Abstract

The implementation of digital technology has become an essential initiative in improving transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the management and dissemination of public financial information. This study aims to examine the benefits, challenges, and strategic considerations associated with the adoption of digital technology in presenting public sector financial data. Using a qualitative approach based on a comprehensive literature review, the study highlights how digitalization enables real-time access to financial information, minimizes the risk of human error, and enhances public trust in financial governance processes. Despite these advantages, the research also identifies persistent challenges, such as inadequate infrastructure, limited technical capacity, and uneven digital readiness across government institutions. To address these issues, the study proposes several practical recommendations, including the development of supportive regulatory frameworks, increased investment in digital infrastructure, and the implementation of targeted training programs for public sector personnel. Overall, this research contributes both theoretical understanding and practical insights to advance the digital transformation of public financial management.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that every pregnant woman have a positive and fulfilling experience throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Comprehensive screening as part of integrated antenatal care (ANC) is an essential effort for early detection and prevention of complications during these stages. This study aimed to determine the proportion of integrated ANC screening results, including communicable diseases (HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B) and non-communicable conditions (anemia, chronic energy deficiency [CED], preeclampsia, and gestational diabetes) among pregnant women in the catchment area of South Kuta Health Center, Bali. This study employed a cross-sectional design using secondary data collected between June and September 2024. A total sampling technique was applied to all records that met the inclusion criteria, resulting in 684 cases for analysis. Data were analyzed descriptively using frequency and percentage distributions. The highest proportion was anemia (36.4%), followed by CED (10.2%), underweight (8.8%), obesity (5.6%), gestational diabetes (0.4%), preeclampsia (0.9%), hepatitis B (1.3%), syphilis (0.7%), and HIV (0.4%). Most maternal health problems were related to nutritional factors, particularly anemia and CED. Although the proportions of preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and communicable diseases were relatively low, early detection through regular and timely ANC screening remains crucial for preventing maternal and perinatal complications. Strengthening maternal nutrition programs through improved adherence to iron–folate supplementation, close monitoring of dietary intake, and continuous nutrition education is recommended to minimize the risk of anemia and CED among pregnant women.

Abstract

The growing participation of retail investors in social media communities has created a pressing need to understand how their activities and sentiments influence stock market dynamics. This study aims to examine the effect of investor activity and sentiment on social media on the trading volume and price volatility of small-cap stocks. A quantitative approach was adopted by surveying 200 respondents who are active in online stock communities. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that both investor activity and sentiment are positively associated with trading volume and price volatility. The regression models explain more than half of the variation in the two dependent variables. The study concludes that social media plays a significant role as a space that shapes the behavior and investment decisions of retail investors in the digital stock market.
