Abstract

The objective of research was to study effect of planting media, paclobutrazol and gibberellin acid on vegetative and generative growth of Deli Hijau rose apple. The research has been conducted at Desa Sei Remban, Kecamatan Binjai Utara, Binjai, Sumatera Utara from June to November 2014, using factorial randomized block design with three factors. The first factor were planting media (chicken and cow manure),the second factor were paclobutrazol (0 and 5 ml) and the third factor were GA3 (0 and 75 ppm). The result showed that paclobutrazol decrease of plant height (17.3%), stem diameter (10.28%), to accelarate bud initiaton (93.69%), to increase bud branch number (75.68%), flower opening stage (86.47%), and bud number per branch (74.82%). There were not different response vegetative and generative growth of Deli Hijau rose apple with manure and GA3 traetment. The highest leaf area of Deli Hijau rose apple on using chicken manure with application GA3.Keywords: deli hijau, gibberellin acid, paclobutrazol, planting media, rose apple

Abstract

These research conducted in North Sumatera university agricultural faculty in January to April 2014, using factorial randomized block design with two factors. The first factor is the soybean variety (Anjasmoro and Wilis) and the second factor is treatment drought stress (optimum field capacity, and drought stress treatment beginning flowering plant for 14 days).The results of these research showed that drough stress decrease growth and production parameter were leaf area (25,40%), root volume (44,87%), shoot dry weight (38,01%), and dry weight of 100 seeds (23,32%).Keywords :growth, Anjasmoro, Wilis, drought stress.

Abstract

Nutrient conten of the soil and rubber produced by giving empty oil palm fruit bunches and the number of biopori holes. Rubber is a kind of plant which is important and can increase income and social prosperity. This research cond ucted at Silau Dunia garden PTPN III Serdang Bedagai on August – December 2014 by using random missed block design with two factors. The first factor is empty oil palm bunches contained : 0, 1, 2 and 3 kg for each biopori and the second factor is the number of holes consisted : 4, 8 and 12, With three replication. The results of this research showed that interaction application empty fruit bunch and number of biopori increase of N soil, N leaf and Cholorofil number.Keywords: Biopori, palm empty bunches, RubberABSTRA

Abstract

Rubber need a lot of water for growth and production. One of the effort to converse soil water through pit and vertical much added palm oil empty fruit bunches to absorb, hold water and increased nutrient. The objective of the research to study N soil and leaf concent also chlorophyll of rubber was nine years old with placement vertical mulch in pit. The research was conducted at PTPN III Kebun Silau Dunia, Silau Kahean District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatera with the heigh 60-90 metre above sea levels, began from August until December 2014. The research was arranged with a factorial randomized block design consisted of two factors. The first factor was pit lenght with three levels were 200, 300, 400 cm and second factor was provision of palm oil empty fruit bunches with three levels were 200, 250, 300 Kg. The result showed that provision of palm oil empty fruit bunches 300 Kg increased N soil about 14.84 % but pit lenght and interaction of two factors not significant effect to N soil and leaf also chlorophyll.Keywords: pit, palm oil empty fruit bunches, rubber.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to study vegetative growth response of three varieties of palm oil tree at some palm waste as planting medium in pre nursery. The research has been conducted in Kompleks Medan permai on November 2014 to February 2015. The research design used randomized block design with two factor. The first factor was composition palm waste for planting medium (top soil, top soil + fiber 1:1, top soil + empty fruit bunches1:1, top soil + solid decanter 1:1 and top soil + fiber + empty fruit bunches + solid decanter 1:1:1:1) and the second factor was palm tree varieties (Yangambi, Simalungun, and Avros). Result from the research determined that treatment of planting medium significant effect to shoot length and stem diamer (12 and 14 week after showing), shoot wet weight and root dry weight. Yangambi, Simalungun and Avros not responding for planting medium composition. The best planting medium combination from this study were : top soil : fiber : empty fruit bunches : solid decanter (1:1:1:1).Keywords: Varieties, Planting media, palm oil

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi pada pembibitan stump karet dilapangan ialah tingginya persentase kematian stump (sebesar 15-20%) yang diakibatkan oleh pertumbuhan akar dan tunas yang terhambat. Oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan suatu penelitian untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan stump karet yang ditanam pada berbagai kedalaman penanaman dengan komposisi media tanam yang berbeda. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan stump karet pada berbagai kedalaman dan komposisi media tanam. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli hingga November 2014 di Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah kedalaman (di tengah antara mata okulasi dengan pangkal batang, tepat dipangkal batang, di sepertiga dari pangkal batang) dan faktor kedua adalah perbandingan media tanam topsoil dan pasir (1:0, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan kedalaman penanaman stump meningkatkan persentase bertunas, kecepatan melentis, dan jumlah daun, sedangkan perlakuan media tanam meningkatkan kecepatan melentis, diameter tunas dan bobot segar tunas, serta interaksi kedua perlakuan meningkatkan persentase bertunas, panjang tunas, diameter tunas, dan bobot segar akar.Kata kunci : Stump karet, Kedalaman Tanam, Media Tanam

Abstract

The objecctive of these research was to study response of Mucuna seedling on planting media from waste oil palm and mycorrhiza. This research conducted at the Silau Dunia, PTPN III, District Dolok Masihul, Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra, on October 2014 to January 2015. The design used randomized block design factorial. The first factor was planting media from palm oil waste with composition: (Top Soil+ Sandy soil; Top Soil+ empty fruit bunches+ Fiber; Top Soil+empty fruit bunches+Solid Decanter; Top Soil+empty fruit bunches+Sludge; Top Soil+ Fiber+ Solid Decanter; Top Soil+ Fiber+ Sludge and Top Soil+ Solid Decanter+ Sludge). The second factor was asosiation with Mycorrhizae (micofer aplication and not). The result showed that planting Media Top Soil+ empty fruit bunches+ Sludge can increased Mucuna growth. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pertumbuhan dan kandungan NPK bibit Kelapa Sawit ( Elaeis guineensis Jacq) dengan Media Tanam Limbah di Main Nursery. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok ( RAK), dengan 2 faktor perlakuan, media tanam yang terdiri dari 5 komposisi Faktor I, M0 : Top Soil, M1 : Top Soil + Serat Kelapa Sawit, M2 : Top Soil + TKKS, M3 : Top Soil + Solid decanter, M4 : Top Soil +Serat Kelapa Sawit + TKKS + Solid decanter, faktor II adalah, Varietas yang terdiri dari 3 jenis yaitu: V1 : D x P 239, V2 : D x P Simalungun, V3: D x P Avros. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perlakuan komposisi media tanaman (Top Soil + Solid decanter + TKKS + Serat) 1:1:1:1, memberikan respon yang baik  terhadap tinggi tanaman, lingkar batang dan kandungan fosfor pada varietas DXP239.

Abstract

Penyediaan bibit tebu yang berkualitas dengan teknik bud sets dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan unsur hara tanah, sehingga diperlukan pemupukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hara bibit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis dan frekuensi pupuk N, P dan K terhadap pertumbuhan bibit bud sets, di lahan pembibitan PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II Tanjung Jati, Kecamatan Binjai Barat (40-50 m dpl.) pada bulan April sampai dengan Juni 2016, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan dua faktor.Faktor pertama adalah dosis pemupukan (12, 18, 24, dan 30  g/50 tanaman). Faktor kedua adalah frekuensi pemupukan yang terdiri dari 2 dan 3 kali pemberian.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan dosis pemupukan N, P dan K dari 12 sampai 30 g/50 tanaman tidak berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan panjang bibit, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, total luas daun, bobot basah tajuk dan bobot kering tajuk bibit bud sets tebu. Frekuensi pemupukan dua kali nyata meningkatkan pertumbuhan panjang bibit, jumlah daun, diameter bibit, jumlah anakan, total luas daun, bobot basah tajuk dan bobot kering tajuk. Interaksi perlakuan dosis dengan frekuensi pemupukan tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan bibit bud sets. Kata kunci :bibit tebu, bud sets, dosis pupuk, frekuensi pemupukan, pertumbuhan

Abstract

This research was conducted in Pembangunan street Subdistrict Medan Selayang, began from May to September 2016. This research used factorial randomized block design with two factors. The first factor was lady finger varieties were Red burgundy and Garibar. The second factor was application of organic fertilizer with four treatment (without organis fertilizer, compost 22,5g/10kg soil, vermicompost 30g/10kg soil, and chicken manure 75g/10kg soil). Garibar variety different on plant length, number of leaves, number of fruit, and fruit weight with Red burgundy. Chicken manure treatment can increase plant length, number of leaves, number of fruit, and fruit weight. Interaction between varieties and organic fertilizer  treatment can increase plant length.
