Abstract

Increased soybean yields have a meaning in the food industry. The expansion of planting area is one of extensification effort of soybean. Soybean planted on palm oil productive interrow is an alternative to increasing productivity. Soybean responsed plants to light low is the changed in morphology and yield. The objective of the research was to studied growth and yield of soybean varieties on differences light intensity. This research used Factorial Split Plot Design with 3 replications. The main plot were: differences light intensity 30% and 50% and sub plot were: 4 soybean varieties (Grobogan, Anjasmoro, Dena 1, Wilis). This research conducted Deli Serdang district, North Sumatera. The effect of treatment differenes light intensity was not significant on plant height, stem diameter, leaf area index, productive brances, and dry weight of seed. Each of the varieties gave different responses to the plant height and productive branches. The differences light intensity treatment on the variety will increase the leaf area index  in line with the decrease in light intensity except on the grobogan varieties.   Keyword: Oil palm shading, soybean varieties.

Abstract

FAJAR SETIA NINGRUM: Morphological characteristics of pepper varieties of Natar 1 and Natar 2 tolerant of shade stress, guided by CHAIRANI HANUM and EDISON PURBA.Morphological observations were a preliminary identification for screening of tolerant shade plants, the ability to form chlorophyll and the initial step of the plant to be able to avoid shade stress.The research was conducted at Cengkeh Turi, North Binjai Subdistrict (32 meters above sea) from April to June 2017. Research used Split Plot Design with main plot was shade (0%, 25%, 50% and 75%) and sub plot was pepper shrub (Natar 1 and Natar 2).The results showed that the shade stress treatment had significant effect on the observed variables of plant height, the number of leaves and the calculation of chlorophyll a, the best shade level was N1 (25%) with the highest yield.Both varieties of shrimp pepper used have different responses on the number of branches, stem diameter, total leaf area, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll, fresh crown weight, fresh root weight, canopy dry weight and root dry weight, tolerant varieties ie varieties natar 1. The number of leaves and the diameter of the stem is increased in the combination of the large-size treatment depending on the variety.   Keywords: characteristics, shade, varieties of pepper.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mempelajari pengaruh pola tanam tumpangsari dan pemupukan NPK  dalam pertumbuhan dan produksi jagung manis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Desa Tanjung Selamat pada bulan Mei sampai November 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu: faktor pertama pola tanam (monokultur jagung manis, tumpangsari jagung manis – padi gogo, tumpangsari jagung manis – kedelai) dan faktor kedua pupuk NPK (0, 50, 100, 150 g/plot). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola tanam tumpangsari berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 6 MST dan luas daun jagung manis. Dosis pupuk NPK berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 6-7 MST, luas daun, dan jumlah baris per tongkol jagung manis. Interaksi antara pola tanam dan dosis pemberian pupuk NPK berpengaruh tidak nyata. Nilai Nisbah Kesesuaian Lahan yang tertinggi diperoleh pada pola tanam jagung manis – kedelai dengan pemupukan NPK (100 g/plot).

Abstract

Okra has potential to be horticulture development because it has a high economic value. One of alternative to cultivate vegetable crop is using organic fertilizer. The organic fertilizer that can be used in okra cultivation is Bio-slurry of cow. Bio-slurry is organic fertilizer made from cow feces and water. The process of making this bio-slurry fertilizer through anaerobic in closed room. This organic fertilizer is able to neutralize acid soil and increase humus approximately 10-12%. The purpose of this study was to determine the dose of Bio-slurry on growth and yield of okra. This study was conducted at Tuntungan district on May to August 2017. This research used non-factorial randomized block design with five doses of Bio-slurry treatment: 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 ton/ha. The results showed that Bio-slurry treatment not significant effect on stem diameter, shoot dry weight and root shoot ratio. Bio-slurry treatment increase the fruit length.

Abstract

Soils in dry land generally have low soil quality. This is related with lack of crontrollingfactors of soil fertility such as the low content of organic matter and nutrients. Land on dry landgenerally has low soil quality, this is related to the lack of controlling factors for soil fertilitysuch as low organic matter content and nutrients. Research Objectives To provide a generaldescription of the biophysical conditions of dry land in the West Reuleut Village of North AcehDistrict Muara Batu District and its potential suitability associated with crop development andpatterns. This research was carried out on Dryland West Reuleut Village, Muara Batu District,North Aceh Regency. Flat photography is located at an altitude of + 7 meters above sea level.The study began in August 2017 and ended in April 2018. The study began with pre-researchwith soil sampling. The method used in this study is a semi-detailed survey level free grid surveymethod. Research Results Based on dry land biophysical conditions, especially the conditions ofthe agro-climate zone, then several districts in North Aceh as a limiting factor are nutrientretention of pH and soil organic matter, nutrient availability of N, P, K so that to rehabilitate andoptimize marginal (critical) land in North Aceh district can be done by planting food crops usingintercropping systems

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan beberapa varietas kelapa sawit pada perlakuan penggunaan limbah pabrik kelapa sawit sebagai komposisi media tanam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama ialah komposisi berbagai jenis media tanam limbah kelapa sawit (top soil, top soil + serat 1:1, top soil + TKKS 1:1, top soil + solid decanter 1:1, dan top soil + serat + TKKS + solid decanter 1:1:1:1) dan faktor kedua yakni varietas (Yangambi, Simalungun dan Avros). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan berbagai komposisi media tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap diameter batang pada 12 dan 14 MST, dan bobot kering tajuk. Respon dari beberapa varietas Kelapa Sawit belum menunjukan perbedaan respons terhadap penggunaan komposisi media tanam limbah. Kombinasi media tanam limbah terbaik dari penelitian ini diperoleh pada penggunaan media top soil dicampur dengan serat, TKKS, dan solid decanter dengan perbandingan 1:1:1:1

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari fisiologi tanaman karet klon PB260 untuk mendapatkan system exploitasi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan produksi sesuai dengan karakter klon. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perkebunan karet klon PB260 umur 15 tahun kebun PTPN Nusantara III Sei Putih mulai April 2014 sampai April 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan sistem eksploitasi sebagai perlakuan dan masing-masing diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Sistem ekploitasi yang digunakan, yaitu sistem sadap (P) dengan empat taraf : P1 : S/2 d3 BI-1, P2 : S/4 d3 BI-1, P3 : S/2U d3 H0-1, P4 : S/4U d3 H0-1, dan jenis stimulan (S) dengan empat taraf : S0 : Etepon 2.5%, S1 : Stimulan gas 3 x sadap per aplikasi, S2 : Stimulan gas 6 x sadap per aplikasi, S3 : Stimulan gas 9 x sadap per aplikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sistem eksploitasi yang relative aman untuk klon PB260 adalah perlakuan sistem eksploitasi S/2 U d3 ETG /27d dan S/4U d3 ET /30d yang menghasilkan produksi (g p-1s-1) 19.27g p-1s-1 dan 18.90 g p-1s-1, dengan kadar tiol relative aman yaitu 0.4 mM.

Abstract

The research objectives were to find out the growth responses and the results of providing water treatment and manure from buffaloes to C/N which is different from the rice plant variety. The rice was planted in a pot arranged in a greenhouse. The water treatment consisted of two treatment phases, namely irrigation with interval and continuous irrigation. The provision of manure from buffaloes consisted of without treatment, with treatment of C/N 19, 80:1 and treatment of C/N 10, 15:1. The varieties studied were Inpari 1, Inpari 13, Siramos and Siboru Tambun. The results showed that water treatment had positive influence on the plant development which was significantly seen in the height of plant and the number of plantlet and panicle. The best irrigation was indicated by the irrigation with interval. The provision of manure from buffaloes had influence on the number of plantlet per cluster which was indicated very significantly by 40 HST, significantly by 20HST, and very significantly by 40 and 60 HST; and on the number of panicle per cluster which was indicated significantly by 60 HST and very significantly by 100 HST filled grains, and on the number of empty grains per cluster, indicating positive influence.

Abstract

The growth of the rubber depends on some factors in the nursery. One of critical point was on stumping fase. After stumping fase, the number of death plants is quite high at young budding of seedling. This research used Factorial Radomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors and three replications. The Height of rootstock stumped (10, 20 and 30 cm) and the concentration of BAP (15, 30, 45 and 60 mg / 200 g Lanolin). Results of the research showed the number of life budding shoots significantly affect the interaction of stumping and BAP. The results showed that rootstock stumped 30 cm and BAP 60 g / 200 g Lanolin is the best treatment for height of budding shoots (410.67 mm) and the percentage of life budding shoots (66.67%).
