Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this research is to examine the improvement of students' common vocabulary usage using flashcards as a media tool in the topic of Degrees of Comparison. The type of research conducted was Classroom Action Research, which utilized data from pre-tests, cycle reflections, and post-tests to observe the development of students during the learning process. The data collected from the pre-tests, cycle reflections, and post-tests were analyzed by calculating the average scores and grouping them into several categories. The findings of this research, which involved the use of flashcards in the topic of Degrees of Comparison, revealed an improvement in students' scores. Initially, 60% of the students were categorized as low (Very Low and Low). However, after the post-test data was collected at the end of cycle 2, none of the students fell into the low category but had moved up to the 'Intermediate' category Keywords: Kosakata sehari-hari, Flashcard, Degree of Comparison

Abstract

This study is a quantitative research project utilizing a pre-experimental design with one group, involving both pre-test and post-test assessments. Its primary objective is to determine the impact of implementing the Duolingo Application as a teaching tool on enhancing the vocabulary knowledge of Class X.F students at SMA Negeri 1 Pinrang. In this research, the independent variable is the use of the Duolingo Application as a learning medium, while the dependent variable is the students' vocabulary knowledge. The research population encompasses all Class X students, ranging from X.A to X.L, totaling 432 students, with each class typically consisting of 33 to 35 students. The research sample specifically includes 33 students from Class F, selected through random sampling. Data for the research were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments on vocabulary topics. The data analysis involved normality tests, T-tests, and descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that the mean score of the post-test (68.18) was significantly higher than that of the pre-test (28.78), suggesting that the utilization of the Duolingo Application has positively influenced students' vocabulary knowledge. The standard deviation for the pre-test was 7.8, while for the post-test, it was 13.2. To determine whether to reject the null hypothesis, the researchers compared the p-value (0.000) to the standard level of significance (0.05). Since the p-value was less than 0.05, the null hypothesis was rejected, leading to the conclusion that the use of the Duolingo Application effectively improved students' vocabulary knowledge.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sebuah Aplikasi Penjualan Online untuk Toko Stars menggunakan platform web. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, diperlukan teknik perancangan sistem yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan proses yang akan diimplementasikan dalam aplikasi. Metode perancangan sistem yang diterapkan meliputi Data Flow Diagram (DFD), Flowchart sistem yang berjalan, serta Flowchart sistem yang diusulkan. Selain itu, perancangan basis data juga dilakukan dengan menggunakan Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) dan merancang relasi tabel yang sesuai. Hasil dari pembuatan aplikasi penjualan online ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam mempermudah proses transaksi jual beli secara online di Toko Stars, meningkatkan efisiensi, dan memperluas jangkauan pasar bagi Toko Stars dalam industri perdagangan elektronik.

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis is still a major health problem in Indonesia, especially in the working area of the East Health Center in Surabaya, the long treatment of tuberculosis causes sufferers to have low self-efficacy and poor self-acceptance. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and the self-acceptance of patients with Tb. Method: The design research is an analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. The study population of 46 patients with active treatment for the last 3 months in the work area of the community Health Center in Surabaya by 46 patients. Results: A sample of 41 respondents taken by simple random sampling technique. The independent variable is self-efficacy, the dependent variable is self-acceptance. The instrument uses a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test with significance value α = 0.05. The results showed that of 41 respondents the majority (57.3%) had low self-efficacy, and the majority (57.3%) had poor self-acceptance. Chi-Square statistical test results obtained value ρ = 0.008 < a = 0.05 shows there is a relationship of self-efficacy with self-acceptance of patients with TB in the work area of the East Perak Health Center in Surabaya. Conclusions: Conclusions of the study that the lower the self-efficacy in patients with Tb the worse the self-acceptance and vice versa. Patients with TB should further improve their efficacy by always obeying health workers' advice and treatment regularly. The role of nurses in improving self-efficacy by providing education to sufferers and families, working together to care more, and motivate patients so that treatment success.

Abstract

The process of removing the skin covering the tip of the penis is known as circumcision. The law of circumcision for boys in Islam is mandatory. The goal is not only to obey religious orders, but also to prevent feces from sticking to the penis, making urination easier, and reducing the pleasure of intercourse. Apart from that, there are many benefits of circumcision after doing it, but there are still children who don't know what circumcision is and its benefits based on data analysis. The community will be given free circumcisions to carry out one of the Tridharma activities of higher education which is being carried out in Batam City. At this stage, the children were circumcised by doctors from Budi Kemuliaan Hospital, assisted by lecturers from the Kartina Batam Health Academy and lecturers from the Putra Jaya Health Analytical Academy, Batam. After the circumcision process, it is checked again after 3 days. Through the implementation of Community Service in 2024, the target of this activity is to provide education to the public to avoid various kinds of genital diseases, so that public health can be more guaranteed. Circumcision not only functions to clean vital human organs, but circumcision has many health benefits, including AIDS, penile cancer, prostate cancer and urinary tract infections.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law No. 12 Year 1951 against the criminal act of possession without the right of a sharp weapon by the child and to find out the criminal sanctions imposed in the criminal case decision No. 6/Pid.Sus-Anak/2020/PN.Mks. is in accordance with the aspects of child criminalization. The results showed that “the Application of Article 2 paragraph (1) Emergency Law No. 12 Year 1951 on the Crime of Control without the Right to Sharp Weapons by Children is appropriate, because Akbar Bin Rudi (a child who is in conflict with the law) has fulfilled all of these elements, namely (1) the element of Whoever; element (2) without the right to enter into Indonesia, makes, receives, tries to obtain it, delivers or tries to surrender, control, carry, have inventory in it or have in his possession, keep, transport, hide, use or leave Indonesia; and (3) elements of a weapon, a stabbing weapon, or a stabbing weapon (slag steek of stootwapen). Seeing that all these elements are fulfilled, there is no attempt for Akbar Bin Rudi to escape from the criminal responsibility he was accused of. Likewise, from the side of the public prosecutor, it is not possible to carry out SKP2 (the Decree on the Termination of Prosecution). However, the public prosecutor should be obliged to seek diversion by considering the age of Akbar Bin Rudi's child. Criminal Sanctions Imposed in the Decision on Criminal Case No. 6/Pid.Sus-Anak/2020/ PN.Mks. is imprisonment for 5 (five) months in LPKA Maros for Akbar Bin Rudi (a child who is in conflict with the law), although the sentence is quite light when compared to the penalty stipulated in the relevant legislation, but in a criminal case carrying a sharp weapon without permission done by Akbar Bin Rudi, here the author does not agree with what was decided by Rusdiyanto Loleh, SH, MH (Child Judge) at the Makassar District Court in Decision Number: 6/ Pid.Sus-Anak/2020/PN.Mks. The judge should have been obliged to seek diversion first. This refers to Article 81 paragraph (2) of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 Year 2012 concerning the Criminal Justice System for Children and Regulation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4 Year 2014 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Diversion in the Juvenile Criminal Justice System”.

Abstract

The abundance of studies on local wisdom in Indonesia is evident from a Google Scholar search, which yields a wealth of resources. However, the concept of local wisdom and its distinction from related terms such as ‘local knowledge’ and ‘indigenous knowledge’ remains unclear. This article seeks to clarify the notion of ‘wisdom’ by: first, re-examining  the definitions and debates surrounding local wisdom, local knowledge, and indigenous knowledge; second, tracing the models of indigenous research conducted in Indonesia; third, formulating a critical and philosophical approach to interpreting wisdom as conceptualised in Indonesian academic studies; and fourth, critically reflecting on the discourse of local knowledge, highlighting its role not only as a concept but also as a practical social movement that amplifies local voices.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan tanda klinis ketika pengukuran sistolik dan diastolik lebih dari 140 mmHg dan 90 mmHg yang dapat diartikan sebagai peningkatan tekanan darah dari batas normal. Hipertensi dapat menyebabkan terjadinya komplikasi seperti penyakit jantung koroner dan stroke, gagal jantung, gagal ginjal, penyakit vaskular perifer dan kerusakan pembuluh darah retina yang mengakibatkan gangguan penglihatan. Salah satu penanganan dalam penurunan tekanan darah adalah menggunakan terapi relaksasi genggam jari dan nafas dalam. Terapi relaksasi genggam jari dan nafas dalam merupakan terapi yang dapat menenangkan jiwa dan tubuh sehingga dapat menimbulkan efek relaks dalam tubuh. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi relaksasi genggam jari dan nafas dalam terhadap penurunan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi DI wilayah kerja puskesmas maccini sawah kota makassar. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan dekralatif yaitu mengumpulkan data yang dilakukan secara observasional pada pasien penderita hipertensi yang mendapat terapi relaksasi genggam jari dan nafas dalam. Hasil implementasi penerapan intervensi terapi genggam jari dan nafas dalam, menurunkan skala nyeri Ny. S menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan skala nyeri sebelum memberikan terapi yaitu skala nyeri 5 (nyeri sedang) dan setelah pemberian terapi skala nyeri turun yaitu skala nyeri 2 (nyeri ringan). Berdasarkan data tersebut penerapan intervensi terapi kombinasi relaksasi genggam jari dan nafs dalam, dalam menurunkan skala nyeri pada Ny.S efektif. Di harapkan penderita hipertensi dapat memanfaatkan penerapan intervensi genggam jari dan nafas dalam sebagai terapi untuk menurunkan skala nyeri hipertensi.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana kemampuan komunikasi matematis tertulis peseerta didik kelas VIII pada materi relasi dan fungsi dengan model problem based learning. Subjek penelitian yang dipilih merupakan peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 47 Palembang yang berjumlah 6 orang menurut kriteria tertentu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes dan wawancara pada materi relasi dan fungsi yang mengarah pada indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang berjumlah 3 soal essay. Wawancara yang digunakan yaitu semi terstruktur. Prosedur penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari 3 tahap, yaitu: 1) tahap persiapan; 2) tahap pelaksanaan; 3) tahap analisis data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan deskripsi dan analisis hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diantaranya dari 24 peserta didik yang diteliti, jumlah peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematis kategori tinggi ada 6, kategori sedang ada 10, dan kategori rendah ada 8 peserta didik. Untuk rata-rata nilai tes peserta didik berada pada kategori sedang dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 76,25%. Hasil penelitian ini akan menunjukkan bagaimana kemampuan komunikasi matematis tertulis peserta didik kelas VIII pada materi relasi dan fungsi dengan model problem based learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperimen bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa terhadap konsep sistem ekskresi manusia kelas XI SMAN 14 Gowa. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 14 Gowa berjumlah 72 siswa, yang terdiri atas kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Insturmen yang digunakan berupa lembar tes untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning rata-rata sebesar 78,98, sementara pada kelas kontrol yang tidak menerapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning rata-rata 70. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji independen t-test, terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas XI pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia di SMA Negeri 14 Gowa
