Abstract

Sungai Dinoyo merupakan salah satu sungai penting di Kabupaten Lamongan yang mengalir di tengah keramaian kota dan melintasi kawasan pemukiman, pasar dan pertanian di sepanjang sungai.  Sehingga berdampak terhadap penurunan mutu kualitas lingkungan baik dari segi fisik, kimia, dan mikrobiologi. Salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan kualitas air dan menurunkan beban pencemar pada air yaitu penambahan EM4. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efektivitas penambahan EM4 sebagai agen dalam peningkatan air pada Sungai Dinoyo Lamongan termasuk Penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian yaitu rancangan penelitian eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada dua titik lokasi Sungai Dinoyo dan pengujian di laboratorium, Analisis data menggunakan pengujian statistic secara Uji Normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan Anova one way. Penambahan (EM4) yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas air pada sungai Dinoyo Lamongan untuk parameter TDS yakni penambahan EM4 50%, parameter TSS yaitu penambahan EM4 75% , dan parameter BOD yaitu penambahan EM4 75%. Uji parameter fisika  TDS menunjukan sig= 0,000, TSS menunjukan sig= 0,01, Parameter Kimia BOD sig= 0,001 nilai tersebut < 0,05 maka hasil uji tersebut bebeda secara signifikan.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to helpincrease the intensity of additional lighting in each work unitthat is still low in lighting intensity. The implementationmethod in this activity starts from a site survey, coordinationwith related parties such as the Surabaya city health officeand the local health center as the coordinator of theoccupational health post. Then measure the intensity oflighting and increase additional lighting on work units withless lighting intensity. The measurement results in all workunits obtained an average lighting intensity value of 107 lux(standard 500 lux). After installing additional local lighting,the results obtained are the intensity of the lighting with anaverage of 928 lux. When viewed from the measurementresults before and after local lighting was installed, there wasan increase in lighting intensity. After the intervention withthe installation of local lighting there was an increase in theintensity of the lighting in accordance with the standardlighting for the type of sewing work. This condition needs tobe maintained so that workers feel comfortable andcomplaints of eye fatigue can be minimized. In addition, it isnecessary to measure periodically to ensure the intensity ofthe lighting is in accordance with the standard.

Abstract

The soap currently on the market contains triclosan, a chemical that can disrupt the endocrine system and poses risks to human health and the environment. Despite Indonesia's wealth of medicinal and herbal plants, their potential has not been maximized. Therefore, this research aims to fully utilize the antibacterial properties of lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) and kitolod (Isotoma longifera) leaf extracts against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. This research constitutes a true experimental study. The study involves crafting soap from paper using lemongrass leaf extract and kitolod leaf extract, with varying percentages for each. An assessment of the soap preparations over 14 days revealed that the pH decreased while still meeting the requirements of SNI 2588:2017. The foam stability meeting the standard quality is only found in soap with formula I, which does not comply with the quality standard due to prolonged storage. Notably, formula III demonstrated substantial inhibitory effects against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, making it the most optimal formula. Formula III, containing a mixture of 40% lemongrass leaf ethanol extract and 90% kitolod leaf extract, met all specifications required by SNI 2588:2017 and effectively inhibited the growth of both Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Abstract

Industri yang menghasilkan limbah logam berat Pb (Timbal) sangat membahayakan apabila mencemari lingkungan, salah satunya jika mencemari lingkungan perairan yang dimanfaatkan sebagai tambak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memanfaatkan bakteri indigenus yang berada pada tambak tercemar Pb (Timbal) sebagai agen pendegradasi logam berat Pb (timbal). Penelitian ini deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) menggunakan pola faktor, dengan faktor pertama adalah variasi konsentrasi larutan (10 ppm, 20 ppm, dan 30 ppm) dan faktor ke dua yaitu variasi waktu (0 jam, 4 jam, 8 jam, 12 jam dan 24 jam). Sampel air diambil dari 4 titik lalu dilakukan isolasi, pengamatan makroskopis, mikroskopis, uji biokimia dan uji resistensi. Isolasi dan penapisan bakteri dengan kode isolat T1.T1 (Bacillus sp 1), T1.T2 (Bacillus sp 2), T2.T1 (Bacillus sp 3) dan T2.T2 (Pseudomonas sp). Konsentrasi terbaik uji resistensi bakteri menurunkan  kadar Pb yaitu 30 ppm. Degradasi Pb dengan konsentrasi 30 ppm pada bakteri Bacillus sp 1, Bacillus sp 2 dan Bacillus sp 3 mampu mendegradasi logam berat Pb hingga 87 % pada bakteri Pseudomonas sp mampu mendegradasi logam berat Pb hingga 90 %.

Abstract

Sumberaji merupakan sebuah desa yang penduduknya terletak di Lamongan mempunyai sumber air permukaan yang besar yang berdekatan dengan sawah dan tidak terkontaminasi. Sehingga hasil laboratorium menunjukkan hasil DO, TDS, COD, BOD, Total Coliform dan E. Coli memenuhi standar. Serta adanya keinginan masyarakat Desa Sumberaji, Kecamatan Sukodadi untuk memproduksi air tanah menjadi air minum dalam kemasan (AMDK). Sehingga Fikes Unisla melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ingin meningkatkan kualitas sumber air Desa Sumberaji agar menjadi air minum yang siap dikonsumsi. Dalam kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM), tim menggunakan metode pengolahan air tanah dengan prototipe IPAM yang dimodifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil karakteristik air tanah yang diperoleh, perancangan peralatan unit pengolahan air minum di Desa Sumberji memerlukan media filter pada tabung filter yaitu karbon aktif, pasir silika dan zeolit ​​mangan yang digunakan untuk menghilangkan partikel terlarut diatas 50 µ yang dapat mengurangi konsentrasi zat besi dan bahan organik yang dikandungnya. Kegiatan Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan di Desa Sumberaji telah menghasilkan perencanaan program pengolahan air minum untuk meningkatkan kebutuhan air minum bagi warga Desa Sumberaji dan sekitarnya.

Abstract

The process of child growth and development is divided by age, one of which is the preschool phase. The growth and development of children at this age is very rapid, including cognitive, biological, spiritual and psychosocial development. With the rapid growth and development, education is very important to be given to form the foundation, build the personality, mentality and character of children, one of the important educations is to provide personal hygiene. Children's personal hygiene is an important aspect that includes personal hygiene from head to toe as a whole. The form of children's skills related to personal hygiene is the child's ability to control defecation and urination properly and regularly to avoid health problems, one of which is scabies. Scabies is a contagious disease caused by the infestation of Sarcoptes scabiei hominis variant on the skin which is characterized by itching and skin eruptions. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship personal hygiene with the incidence of scabies. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional study design. This study uses a total sampling technique. Data analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi Square test. The results of this study found that there was a significant relationship between personal hygiene and the incidence of scabies. The conclusion is that there is a relationship personal hygiene with the occurrence of scabies. It is recommended that party The nearest health center for Providing health education about personal hygiene has a positive impact, namely increase knowledge about personal hygiene leads to behavior or action under maintenance self Which Good, so that incident rate scabies can be minimized as much as possible.

Community education and routine use of insecticides are implemented by the government to reduce dengue vectors. Chemical insecticides and larvicides kill mosquitoes faster and optimally, but massive use in the long term will cause resistance effects. Limonoids and flavonoids in Citrus aurantifolia could be substitute temephos in abate. The study aims to enhance community knowledge on homemade biolarvicide from lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) powder against dengue vector in Sukoanyar Village, Lamongan. Target of community education is women who are members of PKK in the Sukoanyar Village, Lamongan. The activities consist of educational sessions about dengue vector control, vector resistance, lime (Citrus aurantifolia) as biolarvicide, and distribution of trifold brochure media. Then, cognitive test sessions were conducted in pre-tests and post-tests. Results showed that the community was very enthusiastic about making powdered lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) as homemade biolarvicide. Moreover, women in Sukoanyar Village have good knowledge (85,5%) about dengue vector control and biolarvicides then increasing to 90,9% during post-test. It was concluded that community knowledge improved regarding dengue vector control and the use of homemade biolarvicide from powdered lime leaves and peels (Citrus aurantifolia) in tea bags as substitute for abate.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a health problem, both in terms of mortality rates, morbidity rates, and diagnosis and therapy. The purpose of Community Service is to increase knowledge about the prevention and treatment of Tuberculosis and its management in the community. The method of implementing community service uses health education on tuberculosis prevention, assistance and assessment of the level of understanding of tuberculosis and prevention of tuberculosis. The results of the Community Service activities obtained that there was an increase in the knowledge and skills of community participants about tuberculosis. The conclusion is that Community Empowerment with TB Cadres has an important role, especially in efforts to find, provide information and accompany TB patients.

Abstract

Air tanah merupakan sumber daya yang penting bagipemenuhan kebutuhan hidup setiap manusia. Meningkatnya air dipengaruhi oleh semakin berkembangnya kegiatan atau usaha yang memerlukan air. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efek penggunaan biokoagulan serbuk biji kelor (moringa oleifera) untuk perbaikan kualitas air tanah di Desa Tunggunjagir Lamongan. Treatment serbuk biji kekor 0,5 mg menggunakan metode jar test dalam 500 ml air sampel yang diambil dari 4 titik sumur sendang. Kekeruhan memiliki rata rata penurunan nilai kekeruhan sebesar 38%, penurunan nilai TDS sebesar 4%, kenaikkan nilai pH sebesar 6%, dan kenaikan nilai nitrat sebesar 813%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penggunaan serbuk biji kelor (moringa oleifera) mampu meningkatkan kualitas fisik air tanah,tetapi ada satu parameter yang melebihi standar baku mutu yakni nitrat sedangkan untuk range nilai parameter lainnya tidak melebihi standart baku mutu.Kata kunci : Biokoagulan, moringa oleifera, jar test, air tanah.
