Abstract

This research aims to find out the relationship between self-control and student social ethics. Self-control is an individual's ability to regulate emotions, impulses, and behavior to conform to prevailing norms. Meanwhile, interaction ethics reflect the extent to which students can interact politely and courteously. The research method used in this study is quantitative with a correlational research design. The population in this study consists of all students in grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam for the 2024/2025 academic year, totaling 382 students. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The sample consists of 38 students. The research instruments used were self-control questionnaires and interaction ethics questionnaires, which have been tested for validity and reliability using Cronbach's alpha. The self-control questionnaire achieved a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.872, while the interaction ethics questionnaire scored 0.919. The measurement scale for attitudes, opinions, and perceptions uses a Likert scale. The results of hypothesis testing show that the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.620 and the significance (p) is 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a positive relationship between self-control and social ethics. The coefficient of determination yields an R-squared value of 0.384 and an R value of 0.620, demonstrating that 38% of social ethics is influenced by self-control and 62% by other factors. This study implies the need for self-control so that students can exhibit positive social ethics.

Abstract

  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan disiplin motivasi belajar siswa kelas X KI 3 di SMK Negeri 3 Medan melalui penerapan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan metode window shopping. Motivasi belajar merupakan aspek penting dalam keberhasilan akademik siswa, melalui adanya motivasi belajar akan mendorong siswa untuk ma uterus belajar dan berkembang menambah wawasan yang mempengaruhi peningkatan akademiknya, namun observasi awal menunjukkan adanya indikasi rendahnya motivasi belajar pada sebagian siswa, seperti keterlambatan hadir di sekolaah tepat waktu, kurang aktif dalam pembelajaran, tidak memperhatikan guru, tidak mengerjakan tugas dan kurangnya inisiatif belajar mandiri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan desain siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X KI 3 SMK Negeri 3 Medan yang terindentifikasi memiliki tingkatmotivasi belajar yang rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi dan catatatan belajar mata pelajaran. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian diharapkan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam motivasi belajar siswa setelah diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan metode window shopping. Metode window shopping digunakan dalam penelitian sebagai metode untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada peserta didik karena metode tersebut merupakan metode belajar yang menarik dan menyenangkan, dimana didalam pelaksanaan nya peserta didik belajar dengan bebas mengutarakan pendapat namun sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran, dan diharapkan dapat memberikan dukungan sosial dan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk berbagi pengalaman secara bersama-sama. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi guru bimbingan dan konseling (BK) di SMK Negeri 3 Medan dalam mengembangkan intervensi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Abstract

Various factors, both internal and external, can influence student learning fatigue. Consequently, the necessity for an efficacious strategy to surmount this predicament is paramount. A potential approach entails the utilization of group counselling services, incorporating role-playing techniques. The present study was conducted with the objective of ascertaining the impact of role-playing group counselling services on the learning fatigue of students at vocational school 07 Medan. The findings of the study, which have been thoroughly analyzed, have indicated that the results of the hypothesis test, which was conducted using the paired sample t-test, demonstrate a significant effect of the service in reducing student learning fatigue. The calculated t-value is greater than the table t-value (7.592 > 2.262), indicating that the relationship between the two variables is positive. The significance value of 0.000 is less than the significance level of 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), indicating that the research hypothesis is accepted. Group counseling services utilizing role-playing techniques have demonstrated efficacy in mitigating student learning fatigue. The implementation of role-playing activities has been demonstrated to have a number of beneficial effects on the learning environment.

Abstract

Perilaku konsumtif ditandai dengan kecenderungan untuk membeli barang atau jasa secara berlebihan tanpa mempertimbangkan kebutuhan sebenarnya. Berdasarkan observasi awal yang dilakukan di lingkungan SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua, teridentifikasi bahwa perilaku konsumtif telah menjadi fenomena yang cukup signifikan di kalangan siswa. Observasi juga menunjukkan bahwa perilaku konsumtif ini memiliki dampak negatif yang cukup serius terhadap aspek lain dari kehidupan siswa. Banyak siswa yang mengaku kesulitan untuk fokus pada tugas-tugas akademik mereka karena terlalu banyak menghabiskan waktu dan energi untuk memikirkan tren terbaru atau mencari cara untuk mendapatkan barang yang diinginkan. Hal ini tidak hanya mengurangi motivasi belajar, tetapi juga menciptakan tekanan emosional yang cukup berat, terutama bagi siswa yang merasa tidak mampu memenuhi standar gaya hidup yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan konseling kelompok teknik role playing terhadap pengendalian perilaku konsumtif siswa SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua dengan jumlah 385 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala psikologi dengan alat pengumpulan data berupa skala perilaku konsumtif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitaif, uji-t dan analisis observasi. Hasil penelitian ini ialah tingkat perilaku konsumtif siswa sebelum layanan konseling kelompok sebesar 77,4% berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, setelah diberikan treatment berupa layanan konseling kelompok teknik role playing diperoleh perilaku konsumtif siswa dalam diskusi kelompok 53,3% dengan kategori rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi penurunan perilaku konsumtif pada peserta didik sebesar 24,1%. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa thitung= 22,990 > ttabel= 2,262 artinya Hipotesis alternatif (Ha) yang menyatakan ada pengaruh layanan konseling kelompok teknik role playing terhadap perilaku konsumtif siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua, dinyatakan diterima.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Using the Tiktok Application on Self-Esteem of Female Adolescents at SMK Satria Dharma Perbaungan. This research is a quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were all female students at SMK Satria Dharma Perbaungan. The sample of this study was 36 students who were taken as samples taken using a purposive sampling technique whose criteria used in this study were female. The results of this study are that the level of use of the Tiktok application by female adolescents at SMK Satria Dharma Perbaungan can be said to be high. This was obtained from the results of the adolescent questionnaire with details of 40% with a frequency of 14 adolescents out of 36 respondents in the high category. Furthermore, the self-esteem of female adolescents at SMK Satria Dharma Perbaungan can be said to be moderate. This was obtained from the results of the student questionnaire with details of 37.5% with a frequency of 15 adolescents out of 36 respondents in the low category. The results of the simple linear regression analysis showed that there was a significant influence between the use of the Tiktok application on the self-esteem of female adolescents at SMK Satria Dharma Perbaungan. The model summary table shows an R Square value of 0.723. This value indicates that the contribution of the Tiktok application usage variable to self-esteem is 72.3%. While the remaining 27.7% is influenced by other factors outside the Tiktok application usage variable. Based on the regression coefficient value of X of 2.936, it states that for every 1% increase in the value of Tiktok application usage, the self-esteem value will also increase by 2.936. This means that the higher the level of Tiktok application usage, the lower the level of self-esteem of female adolescents at SMK Satria Dharma Perbaungan.

Abstract

Currently, there are so many students who do not have the awareness to be responsible according to their age. This often happens to students who are teenagers. The low awareness of responsibility in students certainly greatly interferes with the effectiveness of their lives so that appropriate efforts are needed in this case, namely group guidance. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in awareness of responsibility as teenagers in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 10 Medan. The research method used was guidance and counseling action research (PTBK) which was carried out through 2 cycles. The research subjects used were 8 students selected using purposive sampling techniques. The results of this study were that in the pre-cycle, students were at a low awareness of responsibility with an average score of 38.6. In cycle I, there was an increase so that students' awareness of responsibility was in the low category with an average score of 61.25. After cycle II was implemented, students experienced a significant increase in awareness with an average score of 84.75. Thus, group guidance services are stated to be able to increase awareness of responsibility as teenagers in students.

Abstract

Individual behavior is the result of a long process since childhood, one of which is influenced by parenting. Parenting is the way parents educate, guide, and interact with children that shapes their personality and communication ethics in the future. Authoritarian parenting, characterized by strict control, one-way communication, and lack of freedom for children to express themselves, can have a negative impact on children's psychosocial development, including communication ethics. This study aims to determine the effect of authoritarian parenting on students' communication ethics at Istiqlal Deli Tua Private High School. The method used is quantitative with simple linear regression. The sample consisted of 32 students of class XI who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The analysis results show a constant value of 178.602, a regression coefficient of -0.819, and a significance of 0.023 < 0.05. This indicates that the higher the applied authoritarian parenting, the lower the students' communication ethics. This finding confirms the importance of open and supportive parenting in shaping ethical and effective communication skills

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional regulation and anxiety in public speaking in front of the class in MTs Nurus Salam Deli Tua students in the 2025 Academic Year. This study is based on the importance of public speaking skills in the context of learning and the role of emotional regulation as one of the psychological factors that influence students' anxiety levels. With this study, students are expected to be able to overcome speaking anxiety with emotional regulation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlation method and a product moment correlation research design with the help of the SPSS version 23.00 for Windows program. The population in this study were all 8th grade students of MTs Nurus Salam Deli Tua, totaling 180 students, and a sample of 45 students or around 25% of the population was taken using a random sampling technique. The research instrument consisted of an emotional regulation scale and a speaking anxiety scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the data analysis showed a significant negative relationship between emotional regulation and speaking anxiety in front of the class This is proven by the significance value (p) of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.005, and the correlation coefficient value (r) of -0.491. This means that the higher the students' ability to regulate their emotions, the lower the level of anxiety they experience when speaking in front of the class. Conversely, low emotional regulation ability will be directly proportional to increased speaking anxiety. Thus, it can be concluded that emotional regulation can reduce the level of anxiety in students if the students are able to regulate and manage their emotions. This finding shows the importance of fostering emotional regulation in the context of education, especially to increase students' self-confidence and communication skills in the classroom.

Abstract

The research aims to explore the correlation between peer social support and academic resilience among 137 Grade XI students at Istiqlal Private High School, Deli Tua, during the 2024/2025 academic year, using a quantitative correlation research design. A sample of 34 students was randomly selected, and data was collected through a validated questionnaire with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.894. Analysis was conducted using normality tests, linearity tests, and product-moment correlation tests with SPSS software, showing a significance value of 0.000, indicating a significant relationship. The Pearson correlation coefficient was 0.765, suggesting a strong relationship between peer social support and academic resilience. The study concludes that higher peer social support leads to increased academic resilience among students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE yang di batasi sampai tiga tahap, yaitu (1) tahap analysis yang memeriksa kebutuhan dan masalah siswa, (2) tahap design yang merancang produk sesuai dengan kebutuhan (3) tahap development yaitu mengembangkan produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media ular tangga yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan bimbingan karir pada siswa SMP AKP Galang. Fenomena yang ada sekarang, siswa SMP memilih sekolah lanjutannya berdasarkan pengaruh teman sebaya ataupun keinginan orang tua sedangkan siswa sendiri belum mengenal bakat dan minatnya. Akibatnya, siswa SMP sangat membutuhkan bantuan dari guru BK disekolah. Salah satu layanan yang diberikan guru BK adalah bimbingan karir, yang mencakup materi dan informasi tentang karir, dengan menggunakan metode media permainan salah satunya adalah permainan ular tangga. Hasil uji ahli materi 90%, ahli media 90%, respon guru BK 97%, sehingga media ular tangga layak digunakan pada bimbingan karir bagi siswa dalam kategori sangat baik.
