Abstract

This study aims to identify the implementation of the clinical authority of nurses in outpatient units based on the level of competence of nurses. The research method used is a case study (identification of problems, problem analysis and problem priority setting, preparation of Plan of Action (POA), implementation and evaluation). The results showed that the performance of clinical authority by nurses according to the level of the career path they had, namely nurses with PK I level of clinical authority were sometimes carried out (66.7%), PK II Medical Surgery (50%) and PK III Medical (57.1%) levels of authority. Clinically, it is rarely performed, at the level of PK III, the clinical authority is often performed (60%), at the PK III level, the clinical authority is emergency (100%), the PK III level is Neuroscience. Clinicians often do it (50%) and the PK III, Nephrology level of clinical authority, is always done (75%). In conclusion, there are still many particular actions according to the level of competence that is rare and cannot even be carried out because there are no such actions in outpatient installations. Abstract

Background: Nurses who fought against Covid-19 are generally under pressure, so they are prone to anxiety and stress. This problem certainly affects the nurses' self-efficacy in caring for Covid-19 patients. Therefore, it is necessary to have support from nurse managers and colleagues to overcome this problem. This study aims to identify the correlation between nurse managers and peer support with nurses' self-efficacy in caring for Covid-19 patients in hospitals Methods: This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples was 167 nurses from the Covid-19 referral hospital in Cirebon with the accidental sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test and multiple logistic regression tests. Results: The results showed that there was a correlation between peer support and nurses' self-efficacy (p <0.001), and there was not a correlation between nurse manager support and nurses' efficacy in caring for Covid-19 patients in hospitals (p = 0.229). The most influential factors on nurses' self-efficacy were peer support (OR: 3.207) and gender (OR: 2.229). Conclusion: Peer support was related to increasing the nurse's efficacy in caring for Covid-19 in the hospital. The recommendation is the hospitals need to increase support for nurses by providing motivation, information, and counselling for individuals who need it. Therefore the emotional burden of nurses can be reduced, and self-efficacy becomes better in doing the job.

Abstract

Praktik kolaborasi memiliki pengaruh yang besar untuk kepuasan pasien dan kepuasan profesi pemberi asuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi determinan kepuasan perawat pada Interprofesional Colaborative Practice (IPCP). Metode penelitian menggunakan studi cross sectional yang dilakukan dari bulan Maret sampai Desember 2021. Kuesioner yang digunakan hasil modifikasi, dan telah dilakukan uji validitas dan reabilitas. Kuesioner Profesional Factor, Organizational factor dan Interactional Factor nilai uji validitas 0.427-0.722 dan uji reabilitas 0.905 dengan butir kuesioner 17 item. Untuk nilai uji validitas kuesioner kepuasan perawat dalam interkolaborasi 0.590 – 0.913 dan uji reliabilitas 0.980 dengan butir kuesioner 31 item. Kuesioner disebarkan kepada 242 perawat yang bersedia mnjadi responden dan memenuhi criteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi dan bermakna dengan kepuasan perawat dalam IPCP adalah Faktor Profesional (p=0.001), Faktor Organisasional (p=0.048). Simpulan, Faktor Profesionalpaling berpengaruh pada kepuasan perawat dalam melaksanakan inter kolaborasi dengan profesi lain, Faktor Profesional memegang peran yang sangat besar dalam mengerakkan perawat untuk menguasai kompetensinya agar tujuan asuhan dan pelayanan terhadap pasien dapat dicapai secara efisien dan efektif.

Abstract

Hospital patient safety socialization is a routine part of nursing care. Although nurses’ knowledge of patient safety affects nurses’ safety attitudes, such knowledge may not be optimal. This study explored potential factors determining nurses’ safety attitudes in a hospital setting. This was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The study population comprised 376 nurses who were recruited using the purposive sampling method. The instruments were valid and reliable. The test results were as follows: job satisfaction: 0.356–0.575 (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.724); workload: 0.338–0.613 (Cronbach alpha: 0.736), job stress: 0.542–0.719 (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.756); head nurse’s management function: 0.401–0.822 (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.760); working conditions: 0.488–0.670 (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.767); and nurses’ safety attitudes: 0.300–0.827 (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.771). The data were analyzed by bivariate and multivariate analyses, using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results revealed a relationship between the following variables and nurses’ safety attitudes: age (p = 0.001), work experience (p = 0.001), job satisfaction (p = 0.001), gender (p = 0.025), clinical nurses’ career path (p = 0.001), patient safety training (p = 0.032), workload (p = 0.001), work stress (p = 0.009), head nurse’s management function (p = 0.001), and working conditions (p = 0.001). Workload was the most influential factor affecting nurses’ safety attitudes (original sample = -0.776). To improve nurses’ safety attitudes, hospitals need to pay attention to nurses’ job satisfaction, workload, work stress, and working conditions and optimize the head nurse’s management function to improve nurses’ safety attitudes. Sosialisasi keselamatan pasien rumah sakit telah rutin dilakukan, tetapi pengetahuan perawat tentang keselamatan pasien yang akan memengaruhi sikap keselamatan perawat masih belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi (determinan) sikap keselamatan perawat di rumah sakit. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional ini dilakukan pada 376 perawat yang diambil dengan metode purposive sampling. Faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap sikap keselamatan perawat adalah beban kerja (Original sample = -0,776). Rumah sakit perlu memperhatikan kepuasan kerja perawat, beban kerja, stres kerja, kondisi kerja, dan optimalisasi fungsi manajemen kepala perawat untuk meningkatkan sikap keselamatan perawat. Abstract

Bipolar is a mood disorder characterized by extreme swings between feelings of happiness and sadness. Based on WHO data, around 60 million people experience bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder causes functional, psychosocial functioning, quality of life impairments and even the risk of suicide. The large number of smartphone users and the increasing computing power of mobile devices can be used as a reference in using smartphones for bipolar disorder. This systematic review aims to determine the use of smartphones for patients with bipolar disorder. The systematic review method was applied to search articles in electronic databases such as PubMed, Science Direct, and SpringerLink published in 2017-2021. The keywords used in the search were "smartphone", "bipolar disorder" using the Boolean "AND". Articles reviewed were those which met several inclusion criteria such as relevant to the study objective, written in English, not an article review, and free full text. An analysis towards 16 relevant articles found that the use of smartphones for patients with bipolar disorder was intended to measure and monitor signs and symptoms, as a medium for psychotherapy, and to increase adherence to medication. This can be a reference for healthcare workers in carrying out monitoring and management programs for bipolar disorder.

Abstract

Nursing career paths in public health centers have not been well established compared with nurses in hospitals. It is because the nursing career path has a different organizing system, which then becomes an obstacle in implementing the career path for nurses in primary health care. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the relationship between institutional and nurses’ readiness in implementing nursing career paths within public health centers. A cross-sectional study design with questionnaire as instrument was used in this research. A consecutive sampling technique was used to select 93 nurses from 13 public health centers. Furthermore, to identify the objective of this research, the Spearman’s correlation coefficient was used to determine the relationship between paired data. The results found that institutional readiness was 64 or 71.9% of maximum values, yet nurses’ readiness was 112 or 74.5% of maximum values. Thus, it can be concluded that there was a meaningful relationship between institutional and nurses’ readiness with career path implementation (p<0.001), indicating a strong positive relationship (r= 0.521). The results of this study are expected to become a baseline data for public health centers and public health offices to establish a professional nursing career path in public health centers. Abstrak Kesiapan Individu Berhubungan dengan Kesiapan Institusi dalam Penerapan Jenjang Karir Perawat di Puskesmas. Implementasi jenjang karir perawat di puskesmas belum terbentuk seperti pelaksanaan jenjang karir perawat di rumah sakit. Pengorganisasi jenjang karir yang berbeda pada pelayanan primer menjadi kendala dalam implementasi jenjang karir perawat di puskesmas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan kesiapan institusi dan kesiapan perawat dalam penerapan jenjang karir perawat di puskesmas. Desain penelitian menggunakan cross sectional menggunakan kuesioner kepada 93 perawat pada 13 puskesmas. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah convenience sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman yang melihat hubungan kesiapan perawat dengan kesiapan intitusi dalam pengembangan jenjang karir perawat di puskesmas. Hasil didapatkan rerata kesiapan insitusi 64 (71,9% dari nilai maksimal), sedangkan kesiapan perawat didapatkan hasil lebih tinggi yaitu 112 (74,5%). Terdapat hubungan secara bermakna kesiapan institusi dengan kesiapan perawat dalam penerapan jenjang karir di puskesmas dengan p< 0,001, arah hubungan positif, dan kekuatan hubungan cukup kuat yaitu r= 0,521. Penelitian ini menjadi data dasar agar puskesmas dan dinas kesehatan dapat menerapkan jenjang karir perawat profesional di puskesmas. Abstract

This research aims to identify problems and find solutions for nurses in providing proof of competency through a digitalization-based competency logbook. The study used a case report approach with interviews and distributed questionnaires in the ER (Emergency Department) to 103 nurses to implement digitalization-based competency logbook innovation. The research results show a competency logbook (SOP) (Standard Operational Procedure), a digitized logbook operational flow, a competency logbook link, and a spreadsheet link have been prepared. Logbook implementation and performance evaluation: 81.5% of IGD nurses apply digitalization-based competency logbooks. In conclusion, digitalization-based competency logbooks are an effort to resolve problems related to the sub-optimality of nurse competency logbooks. Abstract

This study aims to identify problems and find solutions for new nurses through the preceptorship program. The method used is a case report using step 2 of planning changes from Kurt Lewin. The results obtained based on gender are more women, 94.6%. Based on the age of 39.3% of nurses aged> 40 years. Based on the highest level of education is a diploma in nursing, 64.7%. Based on the competency level, the most PK I is 31.4%, and the position is 80.4%. The most are PPJA. In conclusion, the implementation of preceptorship has not been running yet, so there is a need for commitment in the performance of preceptorship, starting with proper planning in making guidelines, guidelines, and SOPs for the implementation of preceptorship so that it will make it easier for the preceptors who will guide them in carrying out their roles and responsibilities. Abstract

This study aimed to see the use of a computer-based expert system with the forward channeling method for detecting Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease and its application in nursing. The research method used in writing this literature review is based on 25 literature in 2018-2022. This expert system is run with PHP and MYSQL programs. The results of this study are that the Forward Chaining Expert System program will detect gastroesophageal reflux disease based on the symptoms inputted into the system and display an intervention plan that can be carried out like an expert. Still, this system cannot show 100% appropriate disease diagnosis because it requires a series of other tests that still need to be put in the system. In conclusion, with this expert system technology, health workers and users are increasingly assisted and shorten the time required for disease diagnosis and treatment. Abstract

Populasi saat ini yang didominasi remaja akan berdampak pada bonus demografi Indonesia pada tahun 2020-2030. Masa transisi remaja sangat rentan terjadi stres, yang bila berkelanjutan akan berdampak pada gangguan kesehatan fisik dan mental. Aplikasi untuk deteksi stres pada remaja telah banyak dikembangkan, namun belum diketahui aplikasi yang paling efektif dan efisien. Tujuan artikel ini adalah mengetahui pemanfaatan aplikasi yang efektif dan efisien dalam proses deteksi stress remaja. Artikel didapat dengan pencarian elektronik dari 11 databased jurnal. Kriteria inklusi yang digunakan adalah subjek manusia, berbahasa inggris, free fulltext, dan terbit tahun 2013-2018. Artikel yang dianalisis sebanyak 13 artikel. Aplikasi membuat proses deteksi stress pada remaja menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien. Fitur yang disediakan aplikasi deteksi stress ini dapat mempermudah proses deteksi dengan hasil yang akurat. Aplikasi dapat digunakan dimana saja dan kapan saja. Melalui aplikasi ini remaja menjadi lebih leluasa untuk menggunakannya. Aplikasi Micro-Blog diketahui paling efektif dan efisien dalam membantu deteksi stress pada remaja. Aplikasi mudah digunakan dimana dan kapan saja ini sesuai dengan karakteristik remaja yang dekat akan penggunaan media sosial.
