Abstract

This research aims to optimize nurse handover with electronic-based SBAR communication. The research method used is a pilot project. The research results show that implementing nurse handovers with electronic-based SBAR communication in the Emergency Room makes the nurse's work system more optimal, which is demonstrated when patient-related information is clearer, structured and more complete, communication becomes more effective, and can increase patient safety, 27 respondents stated 81.5 % already understand what SBAR communication is and 40.7% have attended SBAR communication training, and as many as 77% have the ability to fill in electronic-based handover formats and are able to carry out handovers using electronic-based SBAR Communication. In conclusion, implementing nurse handovers with electronic-based SBAR communication in the Emergency Room makes the nurse's work system more optimal, which is demonstrated by making patient-related information clearer, structured and more complete, communication becomes more effective, and can increase patient safety. Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of rounds to improve nurses' knowledge at Fatmawati General Hospital. The research method used is a case study. The study's results showed that optimization of the implementation of rounds was carried out in stages, where 12.5% ​​of rooms were found to have implemented nursing rounds but were not yet optimal. Nurses' knowledge was found to have increased through questionnaires related to the definition, implementation of rounds, the role of round officers, and post-rounds rising from 60% to 80%-100%. When viewed from the accuracy of the implementation of rounds, data on the accuracy of rounds was obtained at 90%-95%. In conclusion, there was an increase in nurses' knowledge at Fatmawati General Hospital after the implementation of rounds. Keywords: Knowledge, Nurses, Nursing Rounds

Abstract

This study aims to design a proposal for improving the supervision of the head of the room in the implementation of handover in the inpatient room of South Jakarta General Hospital. The research method used is a case report. The study's results showed that there was already a 40% improvement, for example, the afternoon handover from 14.00 to 13.45 had started and the morning shift began at 08.00, 40% 07.45 / 07.30. For the completeness of handover nurses between the previous shift and the next shift from 5 rooms, 60% had improved, whereas, before the socialization, it was only 40%. For the completeness of the number of nurses who participated in the handover, The head of the room participated in visiting patients with the team, for the morning shift 80% was realized, and for the afternoon shift 40% was realized. Patients were led to pray, 40% realized. In conclusion, optimization of the head of the room's supervision of the implementation of the handover has a positive impact on improving the quality of health services in the inpatient room of South Jakarta General Hospital. Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of blended learning based on a literature review. The research method used in this study is using a systematic review method. Articles are taken from the EBSCOHost, ScienceDirect, and PubMed databases. Articles are collected using the following keywords: nursing competencies, nurse competencies, and blended learning. Eight articles have been selected and critically reviewed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical review guidelines. The results of this study indicate that blended learning can be an effective approach to improving various outcomes in nursing education and training, such as clinical skill competencies self-efficacy, attitude, knowledge, decision-making, critical thinking, motivation, satisfaction with learning, self-confidence of training participants. Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze problems in the implementation of freezing documentation using the role and function of freezing management approach, as well as problem-solving options. The research method uses case studies through interviews, observations, problem analysis with fishbone diagrams and then compiling innovations. The results of the study showed that documentation of accommodation in the inpatient room of Hospital X before implementation was 45% and after implementation it became 55%, there was an increase especially in the preparation of the closing diagnosis and protection action plan. In conclusion, the documentation process increased by 10% through the Flipbook SAK (Nursing Care Standards) innovation, this shows that the implementation carried out is quite effective in improving the quality of protection documentation. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of career development on turnover intention in nurses. The research method used systematic review through electronic databases (ProQuest, Sage Journal, Science Direct). The results of 10 articles showed that positive career development, such as training and promotion opportunities, was associated with decreased turnover intention in nurses. Job satisfaction emerged as an important mediator in this relationship. In conclusion, effective career development can be an important strategy to reduce turnover intention in nurses. Hospitals need to invest in comprehensive and sustainable career development programs to improve job satisfaction and nurse retention. Further research is needed to explore the effectiveness of career development in reducing turnover intention in nurses, both through qualitative and longitudinal studies. Abstract

Background: Nursing documentation is one of the crucial aspects in health services. This activity aims to record the nursing care process systematically, precisely, and accurately. Most hospitals still use paper-based documentation methods that have many weaknesses, so it is necessary to switch to a more efficient and effective method, namely electronic-based documentation. Purpose: To design a prototype of nursing documentation based on electronic medical records in x hospital using Lewin's change theory. Method: Nursing management residency activities were carried out in September-October 2024 at KiSA Depok hospital. This activity began with identifying problems through interview, observation and questionnaire methods. Interview activities were carried out with the head of the nursing division, the nursing committee and the head of the inpatient room. Observations were made on nursing care services in 3 inpatient rooms, namely the Amarilis room, the Asoka room, and the Aster room. The questionnaire was distributed via google form to all implementing nurses. Results: Problem identification from several factors including the inpatient EMR team has not determined the concept of using electronic medical record-based nursing care standards and nursing staff have not received training in using electronic medical records. The limited number of computers in each room and the internet network is inadequate, there is no guidebook, standard operating procedures (SOP), use of EMR-based 3S nursing care standards, and there has been no determination of the time bone for implementing EMR in the hospital. In addition, there has been no design of EMR-based 3S nursing care standards and 3S data banks. Conclusion: Documentation in the inpatient room is still paper-based, this method takes a long time, has a high potential for writing errors, absorbs large costs for paper procurement and requires large storage space. The solution to overcome this problem is to switch to an electronic-based documentation method.   Keywords: Documentation, Electronic; Nursing; Prototype; Design.   Pendahuluan: Pendokumentasian keperawatan merupakan salah satu aspek krusial dalam pelayanan kesehatan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mencatat proses asuhan keperawatan secara sistematis, tepat, dan akurat. Sebagian besar rumah sakit masih menggunakan metode pendokumentasian berbasis kertas yang memiliki banyak kelemahan, sehingga perlu beralih ke metode yang lebih efisien dan efektif yaitu pendokumentasian berbasis elektronik. Tujuan: Untuk merancang prototipe pendokumentasian keperawatan berbasis rekam medis elektronik di rumah sakit x dengan menggunakan teori perubahan Lewins. Metode: Kegiatan residensi manajemen keperawatan dilaksanakan pada 2 September-2 Oktober 2024 bertempat di RSUD KiSA Depok. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan melakukan identifikasi masalah melalui metode wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Kegiatan wawancara dilakukan terhadap kepala bidang keperawatan, komite keperawatan, dan kepala ruangan rawat inap. Observasi dilakukan terhadap pelayanan asuhan keperawatan di 3 ruangan rawat inap, yaitu ruang Amarilis, ruang Asoka, dan ruang Aster. Kuesioner disebarkan melalui google form kepada seluruh perawat pelaksana. Hasil: Identifikasi masalah dari beberapa faktor antara lain, tim RME rawat inap belum memutuskan konsep penggunaan standar asuhan keperawatan 3S (SDKI, SIKI, SLKI) berbasis rekam medis elektronik dan tenaga perawat belum dilatih mengenai penggunaan rekam medis elektronik. Masih terbatasnya jumlah komputer di setiap ruangan dan jaringan internet belum memadai, belum adanya panduan, SPO penggunaan standar asuhan keperawatan 3S berbasis RME, dan penetapan time bone implementasi RME di rawat inap. Selain itu, belum adanya desain standar asuhan keperawatan 3S berbasis RME dan bank data 3S. Simpulan: Pendokumentasian di ruang rawat inap masih berbasis kertas, metode tersebut memakan waktu yang lama, potensi kesalahan penulisan tinggi, menyerap biaya yang besar untuk pengadaan kertas dan membutuhkan ruang penyimpanan yang besar. Solusi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan beralih pada metode pendokumentasian berbasis elektronik.   Kata Kunci: Dokumentasi; Elektronik; Keperawatan; Prototipe; Rancangan.

Abstract

Optimalisasi supervisi kepala ruangan dalam proses retur obat ke farmasi berperan penting dalam memastikan pengelolaan obat yang efisien, mengurangi kesalahan, dan meningkatkan efektivitas operasional rumah sakit. Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi digital, transformasi digital menawarkan solusi inovatif dalam mengatasi tantangan retur obat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan teknologi digital dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas retur obat. Metode penelitian menggunakan pilot study yang mencakup identifikasi masalah, analisis, penetapan prioritas, penyusunan rencana aksi, implementasi, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sistem digital dalam retur obat mempercepat proses, mengurangi kesalahan, serta meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan. Uji coba pada ruangan rawat inap menunjukkan bahwa obat dapat diretur dengan cepat dan akurat. Setelah implementasi, bagian Pelayanan Keperawatan dan kepala ruangan berupaya mempertahankan sistem ini sebagai budaya organisasi rumah sakit. Sosialisasi dan pendampingan dalam penerapan digitalisasi retur obat juga mengubah perilaku serta pola pikir perawat dalam pengelolaan retur obat. Diharapkan adanya komitmen bersama antara farmasi dan staf keperawatan untuk terus mendukung sistem digital ini guna mencapai efisiensi dan efektivitas yang berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan retur obat di rumah sakit.

Abstract

Hospitalization in the ICU has an impact on families, making it essential to meet the needs of families in the care of patients in the ICU. Caring for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) requires family support and involves various health disciplines, including the active role of the head nurse. The head nurse can facilitate all parties to be involved in patient management, one of which is through family meetings. (family meeting). A family meeting is an important forum to discuss the patient's condition, prognosis, and care preferences, to listen to the family's concerns, and to make decisions about appropriate treatment goals. Objective to enhance family satisfaction in patient care in the ICU through the development of an innovative family meeting program. Using the case report method in managing care in the ICU through stages of data collection, problem identification, discussion, and determining alternative solutions. Utilizing fishbone analysis to find the root cause of the problem. Once the problem is identified, the next steps include prioritizing the issues, developing a plan of action, implementing it, and conducting evaluations along with follow-up plans. The development of the family meeting innovation program with the establishment of guidelines for the implementation of family meetings, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and documentation formats for family meetings. The implementation of family meetings serves as a programmed communication medium between families and caregiving professionals, thereby enhancing the satisfaction of patient families.

Abstract

Medical equipment is an important element in health services, however, inadequate maintenance and management leads to a decrease in the efficiency and effectiveness of equipment operations. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a digital equipment loan and return system. The method used is a pilot project with the Kurt Lewin approach. The unfreezing stage was carried out by identifying problems through interviews, observations, questionnaires to inpatient nurses at X Hospital. The movement stage, the implementation of the plan of action (plan of action) prepared with the hospital. The refreezing stage cannot be carried out because the implementation process is still ongoing. The results of the implemented solution are the use of G-forms as a medium for recording the borrowing and returning of medical devices between inpatient rooms and testing web applications. Recommendations for RS X are the establishment of regulations for borrowing and returning medical devices, socialisation of web applications as a medium for borrowing and returning medical devices, the need for logistics training for nursing staff.
