Abstract

At the end of November 2010, Magnum ice cream suddenly became a hot topic in many mass media and among youths. This product was difficult to be found in the market and became a real craze for ice cream lovers in Indonesia. The selling of Magnum ice cream increased 20 times in 4 months. Based on these phenomena, this research aims at identifying factors that influence consumers’ decision in purchasing the product and their responses after their purchase. The data was analyzed using structural equation modeling with the software Lisrel 8.8. The result shows that advertisement and product attributes had a significant impact on purchase decision, whereas word of mouth did not have any significant impact. Furthermore, purchase decision that had been made by the consumer had a significant impact on their behaviors after purchasing. Those behaviors are the consumers’ loyalty and the word of mouth.

Abstract

Children are unique and also potential market They are unique, because they usually do not spend their own money but they have huge purchasing power. They are potential, because from the number of kids and spending, they are big and promising. Kids market consists of three markets, they are: First, primary markets which is targeting the children itself. Second, influence market which is emphasizing the influence that children assert on family purchases. Third, future market which is considering the future market from the children. Based on the huge market of the children, the author wants to identify the role of promotion as an antecedent of intention to consume for children and its impact on influence power, impulsive buying, and autobiographical memory. Furthermore, it is needed to identify the antecedent of autobiographical memory for children.Keywords: promotion, impulsive buying, autobiographical memory

Abstract

This study is aimed to determine how the influence of celebrity endorser, brand association, brand personality and product characteristics in created the intention to buy energy drinks Kuku Bima Ener-G Rosa. This study is took the 200 respondents and used judgmental sampling method. Data analysis techniques used factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the brand association and product characteristic significantly influence the intention to buy Kuku Bima Ener-G Rosa, while the celebrity endorser and the brand personality does not significantly influence the intention to buy Kuku Bima Ener-G Rosa. Thus, PT. Sido Muncul should use the popular commercials that have power and physical attraction or personality so can influence the consumer, and more attention to the formation of a clear brand personality and strong product, because will be consumer in buying product which according to him.

Abstract

Due to the development of internet nowadays, people utilize it with games and it results in the development of gaming industries that leads to strong existence of virtual economy. However, the development of the gaming industry in Indonesia was indeed a little late compared to other countries. This study generates a new perspective that describes purchase intention on virtual goods in Massively Multiplayer Online Social Games (MMOSG), Audition, in Indonesia. This research is done through a survey by using questionnaire which acquired 200 Audition players as respondents. The data processing used is structural equation modeling. Results of the study show factors that significantly influence purchase intention on virtual goods are social influence and aesthetic in which purchase intention affects actual purchase behavior, while price utility and satisfaction do not influence purchase intention.

Abstract

Using Instagram for business activities became a specific activity among young people, especially students. One of the online businesses run by young people today was a food and beverage business, the other business was in the clothing and apparel field.  The need for food products was increasing on Instagram users who preferred to make online purchases through Instagram. The content of a professional chef's Instagram account was one that influenced individuals to buy food or beverage products through Instagram social media. Professional chef was an interesting profession known by the public and it made young people interested in becoming a professional chef as one of the career professions. Professional chefs also used Instagram media for live career promotion and branding, food product promotions, recipes and even cooking course invitations. The main subject of this research was the Instagram account of a professional chef. The research sample was 218 President University students who had Instagram accounts and made online purchases on Instagram. Data collection used was questionnaires using quantitative research methods. Validity, reliability tests, data analysis used was SEM with SmartPLS. It found that verified Instagram accounts and the intention of following updated Instagram content had influenced the purchase intention of a product, but Instagram content and users' interest in following instagram accounts did not affect the purchase intention of a product.

Abstract

The decreasing number of intakes and quality of the students, and crisis identityhave jeopardise the survival of business schools. There must be a breakthrough toovercome these hard situation. One of the solution is theories-in-use approach, whichis needed to develop the appropriate theory. The writer also suggests to recruit practitionersas the faculty members. This will encourage original theories developmentwhich is appropriate for third world countries like Indonesia. The other solutionis to send the existing lecturers to join the consulting and encourage them to havethe knowledge of practice world. Abstract

Children are a big market with great potential. As reported by www.quora.com, for just the clothing market, the children’s market is approximately US$ 173.6 billion dollars. Some studiesrevealed that the market total for children reaches 80 billionUSD annually for 2019. According to Haryanto et al. (2015), the children’s market consists of three simultaneous markets, which are: First, the primary market, where children spend their money to purchase the products they like. Children’s spending is reflected from the data on the pocket money that is given to them by their parents. Data in Indonesia that was surveyed from TotalyAwesome (a child-friendly advertisement and digital content platform) in 2016-2017 showed that for children between the ages of 4 and 14 years old, they receive an average monthly allowance of Rp 550,000. The money is mostly spent for meal (No. 1), drinks (No. 2), toys (No. 3), and snacks and books (No. 4)

Abstract

This community service starts from difficulties of university students in Indonesia to develop start up business. Most of the students make business in food and beverages, although they are not majoring in culinary art, food technology, or other food based major. The problem indicate that students have no good entrepreneurial spirit. To solve the problem, this program will use other method in developing students’ startup business, namely Entrepreneurial Learning Model (ELM). The steps of ELM are: training, education, experience, and mentoring. This model has already run for 6 months (May to October 2019) to 10 groups of students (who make 10 startup business). The results of this program are: (1) students able to develop their startup business; (2) the startup business come from their innovative idea; and (3) students able to maintain their business. Based on the results, it is recommended to use the model on developing students’ startup business.

Abstract

The existence of craft beer in Indonesia has not been widely known. However, the intention of consuming craft beer is relatively high as the sales of PT. Beervana has been increasing. The main objective of this research is to find out how the factors influence repurchase intention of craft beer. This study uses quantitative method to analyze the data that have been collected from 200 respondents through a questionnaire using multiple linear regression. The findings of this study indicate that product characteristics, perceived quality, country of origin, and conformity significantly influence consumer repurchase intention. However, packaging is found to not have significant influence towards consumer repurchase intention.

Abstract

Frisian Flag as a market leader dairy product in Indonesia has a large market share. However last year, brand value of Susu Kental Manis Frisian Flag has decreased dramatically. In addition, this study aimed to determine the factors that influenced brand awareness towards purchasing attention on Susu Kental Manis Frisian Flag. The type of this research was survey research by using questionnaire and took 200 respondents who knew and have tried Susu Kental ManisFrisian Flag. The data processing used structural equation modelling, this research result showed that positive factors which influenced brand awareness were attractiveness of advertisement and distribution intensity. While, brand awareness affects actual purchasing intention positively.
