Abstract

This study examines the implementation of daily class routine-based learning to enhance class V students' disciplinary behavior at SD Negeri Panca Tunggal. Research objectives include describing routine planning-implementation, transformation processes, and specific discipline changes such as punctuality and cooperation. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data from observations, interviews, and documentation over 3 months, analyzed via reduction and triangulation. Findings reveal routines like morning assemblies and rotation duties boosted compliance from 25% to 85-95%, aligning with Skinner's behaviorism and Merdeka Curriculum. Significant behavioral shifts occurred in time discipline (35% violation reduction) and instruction adherence, recommending replication in rural elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explore high school students’ perceptions of the use of Dola AI as a tool to improve reading comprehension in the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL).Reading comprehension is an important skill, yet it remains a challenge for many students, particularly due to their limited use of effective reading strategies such as skimming and scanning. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into education offers new opportunities to support learning through adaptive and interactive technology. This study employed a qualitative descriptive design involving six high school students who had experience using Dola AI in their English language learning activities. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis based on the Braun and Clarke framework. The results indicate that students generally view Dola AI as a useful and user-friendly tool for helping them understand English texts. Key features such as automatic summarization and contextual Question and answer help students identify main ideas and specific information more efficiently. In addition, the use of Dola AI can also reduce cognitive load and increase student engagement in reading activities. However, some students also expressed concerns regarding reliance on AI and the accuracy of the answers it generates. Overall, this study highlights both the potential and the limitations of using AI in reading instruction.

Abstract

This study explores Indonesian EFL students’ perceptions of using Gemini AI in developing their English speaking skills. The rapid growth of generative artificial intelligence has introduced innovative opportunities for language learning, particularly in speaking practice. Gemini AI offers interactive conversation, pronunciation modeling, instant feedback, and flexible self-directed learning experiences. This research employed a qualitative descriptive design involving semi-structured interviews with Indonesian university students who actively used Gemini AI for speaking practice. The findings indicate that students generally perceive Gemini AI positively due to its capacity to improve speaking fluency, pronunciation accuracy, vocabulary enrichment, and confidence. Participants reported that Gemini AI created a psychologically safe learning environment where they could practice without fear of social judgment. Additionally, the platform’s accessibility and flexibility encouraged autonomous learning. However, technical issues such as unstable internet connections and occasional unnatural conversational responses were identified as notable limitations. Overall, Gemini AI is perceived as an effective supplementary tool that supports both linguistic and psychological dimensions of English speaking development among Indonesian EFL learners.
