Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of students who are unprepared for learning, late attendance, permission, truancy, activeness in learning, enthusiasm for learning, attention to learning, and interest in learning. The aim of this research is to describe the learning interest profile of students in class VIII SMP N 1 Lembang Jaya seen from the aspects: 1) Feelings of pleasure, 2) Interest, 3) Attention in Learning, and 4) Involvement. This research was conducted using quantitative descriptive methods. The research population was 96 students selected using total sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The number of valid questionnaire statements after the trial was 50 items. The data analysis reveals an average percentage of (60,41%) across all aspects, indicating a high category. The results of research on the profile of students' interest in learning in class VIII SMP N 1 Lembang Jaya are seen from the aspects: 1) Feelings of pleasure are in the medium category 2) Interest is in the high category, 3) Attention in learning is in the high category, 4) Engagement is in the high category. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended for guidance and counseling teachers to provide services such as utilizing group guidance and group counseling services, or classical services that are in accordance with what is needed regarding learning interests, then subject teachers are recommended to use a variety of learning methods, for students who have the criteria can increase interest in learning and for future researchers to create an effective guidance service model.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the differences in students in various aspects which require teachers to carry out learning by paying attention to the differences that exist in students in a class or what is called differentiated learning. The aim of this research is to explain the extent to which teachers have implemented differentiated learning in Islamic Education and Character subjects in class X of SMK Negeri 4 Padang. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The research results show that the differentiated learning that has been implemented includes content, process, and product aspects that are in accordance with the differentiated learning indicators, although it is still not optimal and is hampered by several things. Differentiated learning is carried out as a form of appreciation for the diversity that exists in students

Abstract

Rice is the main commodity that supports national food security and fulfills the consumption needs of most of the Indonesian population. Rice production faces many persistent problems, such as yield fluctuations, pest and disease attacks, and environmental changes. One example is the conversion of agricultural areas into residential and industrial areas, which causes rice production to decline. The purpose of this research is to use the Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) approach to develop a forecasting model of Pariaman City’s rice production and forecast the results for 2024 in a monthly period. This applied research uses secondary data obtained from the official website of the Pariaman City Statistics Agency. The best forecasting model results are achieved with the ARMA (1,2) model which produces the smallest MSE value of 96.6965. The model form is $$Y_t = 1.00048Y_{t-1} + \varepsilon_t + 0.443\varepsilon_{t-1} + 0.493\varepsilon_{t-2}$$.

Abstract

Jumlah produksi kelapa sawit merupakan faktor krusial yang memengaruhi operasional dan profitabilitas perusahaan perkebunan, termasuk PT Agro Muko. Fluktuasi produksi bulanan menjadi tantangan dalam perencanaan dan pengambilan keputusan strategis, sehingga diperlukan metode peramalan yang akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membentuk model peramalan produksi kelapa sawit di PT. Agro Muko menggunakan metode Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average dan meramalkan hasil produksi pada tahun 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dari PT Agro Muko selama periode Januari 2020 hingga Desember 2024. Tahapan analisis mencakup identifikasi model, estimasi parameter, uji diagnostik, dan peramalan menggunakan model terbaik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model ARIMA(1,1,0)(2,1,1)12 merupakan model yang paling tepat untuk peramalan. Berdasarkan model tersebut, produksi tertinggi diperkirakan terjadi pada bulan Juni sebesar 12.350.576 kg dan terendah pada bulan Januari sebesar 7.564.886 kg.

Abstract

The occurrence of rice surplus in West Sumatra Province, makes this province has the potential to become a rice exporting area without reducing local stocks. This research aims to forecast rice production using the LSTM method, which excels in time series data analysis. This research uses secondary data in the form of monthly rice production in West Sumatra from 2009 to 2023 obtained from the Agriculture Office of West Sumatra Province. The process involves data processing, division of the dataset into training and testing data, and construction of the LSTM model. The model is designed to recognize patterns and trends in rice paddy production. The forecasting results show a range of paddy production between 177,038 to 185,343 tons with a MAPE value of 10%, which indicates a good level of accuracy.

Abstract

Inventory control is one aspect that affect the company's smooth operation. In this study, the Activity Based Costing (ABC) analysis method and the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method are applied to control raw material inventory. The Bawang Fajar cracker business is one of the SMEs whose raw material inventory control has yet to use the ABC analysis method and the EOQ method. This research is applied research. Based on the results of this study, it was found that the grouping of raw material inventories according to ABC analysis was divided into three groups, namely group A; wheat flour and cooking oil, group B; eggs, and group C; onion and garlic. The TIC value based on the EOQ method is Rp. 1,749,102.00, while the TIC value based on the method used by the company is Rp. 3,582,200.00. So that the EOQ method is more effective than the method used by the company in the Fajar Bawang Crackers Business.

Abstract

Malnutrition is a condition experienced by toddlers due to low nutrition or nutritional needs that have not been met. Effort to improve health status by improving the nutritional status of toddlers. The purpose of this research is clarify the Geographically Weighted Regression model is the best model when compared to the multiple linear regression model. The data used was obtained data from the West Sumatra Provincial Helath Office for 2020. The dependent variable used is the percentage of cases of malnutrition and there are several independent variables, namely the percentage of children under five who were given vitamin A, the percentage of babies who were exclusively breastfeed, and babies born with low birth weight. The results showed that the gwr model can explain the diversity of cases of malnutrition of children under five by 99% with a total squared error of 0.002 compared with multiple linear regression model which is able to explain the diversity of cases of malnutrition among children under five by 43% with a total squared errors of 0.585. It is concluded that the gwr model is the best model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pengelompokan Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Sumatera Barat berdasarkan indikator Ketenagakerjaan dengan menggunakan metode Ward. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian terapan dan jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder tentang ketenagakerjaan di Provinsi Sumatera Barat tahun 2022. Sumber data diperoleh dari website resmi Badan Pusat Statistika Sumatera Barat yaitu https://sumbar.bps.go.id/. Dengan menggunakan 4 variabel yaitu Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka (TPT), Tingkat Partisipasi Angkatan Kerja (TPAK), Tingkat Kesempatan Kerja (TKK) dan Tingkat Pekerja Tidak Penuh (TPTP). Pada penelitian ini dilakukan proses clustering dengan menggunakan jarak Square Euclidean dan validasi cluster dengan menggunkan Dunn Index. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cluster yang terbentuk sebanyak 3 cluster, yaitu cluster 1 sebanyak 1 Kabupaten/Kota termasuk tingkatan ketenagakerjaan tinggi, cluster 2 sebanyak 12 Kabupaten/Kota termasuk tingkatan ketenagakerjaan sedang, cluster 3 sebanyak 6 Kabupaten/Kota termasuk tingkatan ketenagakerjaan rendah. Hasil cluster berdasarkan nilai validasi cluster Dunn Index sebesar 0.780.

Abstract

Cubic equation in complex is equation with the form az3 + bz2 + cz + d = 0, . The equation has solution that is often referred to as the root of the equation. In the method commonly is used to find the root of the equation is usually obtained the real number, but for complex root it can’t be determined. In determined the complex root is used Cardano’s formula. This formula is reduced the form of the cubic equation to canonical equation form, namely z3 + pz + q = 0. This research a basic research. In this research data was collected from various sources in the form of related theories. Beginning with analyzing the graph and it characteristics, tracing the Cardano’s formula and analyzing it proof. Furthermore, is formed a formula with the characteristics of the roots owned by a cubic equation. The research results show that Cardano’s formula which has root for can be determined of the roots with values of and . The characteristics of the roots of cubic equation z3 + pz + q = 0 are depended by the values of p, q and , where . Thus, eight characteristics of the roots of cubic equation can be obtained based on the values of p, q and .

Abstract

Writing scientific articles is crucial for a professional teacher. However, the reality shows that very few teachers are willing, able and accustomed to producing scientific articles. Based on the results of observations and discussions with teachers and heads of the Mathematics Teachers Association of Junior High Schools in the Northern Region of Solok Regency, it was found that teacher is facing two problems including motivation and techniques in scientific writing. Therefore, a solution to this problem is to hold data processing and scientific article writing training. The training was carried out in four stages, namely presentations and discussions, data collection, data processing with Microsoft Excel, and writing the results of data processing into a scientific article and learns how to publish it. The results of the teachers' personal self-evaluation showed that from this training there is an increase in their motivation and ability in processing data and writing scientific articles.
