Abstract

Product diffusion of very few layers of graphene (VFLG) and its derivative (car/motorcycle polish) has been carried out by the Graphene Guard business incubator. The steps and strategies began with discussions in a discussion group forum (FGD) inviting experts in order to find the best marketing patterns. In this case the Canvas method was chosen as a marketing strategy. As a follow-up to the results of the FGD, several activities were carried out. Improvements to the system and production capacity were carried out by adding production equipment, innovating production systems and creating production automation systems. The next step was to design brand and logo activities as well as product labels. The design and manufacture of online and offline sales systems were carried out to follow up on increasing production capacity. To increase the effectiveness of marketing, promotional activities were carried out in the form of advertising, creating brochures, production videos and participating in exhibitions. The results obtained indicated that the marketing of the new intermediate product, very few layer graphene (VFLG) and its derivative products in the form of car polishes, was still experiencing diffusion problems, as evidenced by the low sales capacity. This was realized because this product was a new product and was not yet known to the public. Especially for VFLG products, the additional obstacle was that this product was an intermediate product, thus only certain groups of people need it. Evaluation steps are needed for continuous improvement in order to continue to strengthen the diffusion of this product in society.

Abstract

Abstract: The development of industries such as textiles, dyes, plastics, medicines, cosmetics, and others is increasing along with a rise in production, leading to a high amount of liquid waste generated. Non-biodegradable, toxic, and carcinogenic liquid waste can cause environmental pollution to surrounding water. To address this challenge, biomass waste such as palm kernel shells can be used to treat liquid waste by compositing it with photocatalyst materials. Therefore, this research aimed to obtain ZnO/graphene-like composites to degrade liquid waste. ZnO/Graphene-like composites were synthesized using the solvothermal method, followed by calcination. The performance test was carried out by varying the types of methylene blue, methyl orange, and phenol waste with an initial concentration of 10 ppm, alongside the variations of ultraviolet (UV) and mercury lamps. Subsequently, characterization was carried out using SEM, XRD, FTIR, BET, UV-Vis DRS, and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. The results showed that the percent degradation of methylene blue under UV and mercury were 83.42% and 84.93 % respectively, while methyl orange in the same conditions was 94.83% and 97.17%, respectively. Furthermore, the percent degradation of phenol in UV light and mercury were 86.03% and 89.62%, respectively. This showed that the use of mercury lamps on methyl orange was more effective than UV lamps on methylene blue and phenol.Abstrak: Perkembangan industri seperti industri tekstil, pewarna, plastik, obat-obatan, kosmetik, dan lain-lain semakin meningkat dengan seiring bertambahnya jumlah produksi sehingga jumlah limbah yang dihasilkan juga meningkat salah satunya limbah cair. Abstract

Efforts to increase sales of car/motorcycle polish products have been carried out by the Graphene Guard business incubator. This product is a downstream research result of lecturer/researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, Riau University. As a new product and not yet known to the public, special strategies are needed to increase sales. In the initial stage, an online and offline sales strategy was carried out, but apparently it did not show encouraging results even though promotions had been carried out. It was felt that a reseller strategy needed to be implemented. The reseller strategy, especially offline resellers, was addressed to the students at Riau University with attractive prices and bonuses. This strategy generated significant sales in a relatively short time. The phenomenon where offline reseller sales results were very different from conventional sales strategies reflecting the changes in consumer behavior and increasingly complex market dynamics. Reseller marketing strategies, especially when carried out by individuals or small groups, often conveyed a strong sense of personalization and trust. In this strategy, focus was given to product advantages, customer testimonials, and real interactions. This created high levels of trust in consumers, and allowed them to feel confident in purchasing the product. This strategy can be a valuable experience for marketing of new products.

Abstract

People consider inorganic waste to be useless even though it can be turned into beautiful crafts. Examples of crafts from inorganic waste are pencil cases, flowers, key chains, vases and so on. The activities carried out by UNRI KKN students aim to convert inorganic waste into useful and economically valuable goods. This activity was carried out at village Kulim Jaya Kempas Subdistrict,Indragiri Hilir using the Learning by Doing approach. UNRI KKN students learn by practicing directly how to process inorganic waste into flower crafts from straws using prepared tools and materials. This approach is more effective in achieving outcomes in KKN activities in Kulim jaya. The result of implementing this Integrated Real Work Lecture (KKN) activity is to provide information and innovation about managing inorganic waste into crafts so that students are able to process inorganic waste into creative crafts. This activity can also be an option to reduce waste, especially inorganic waste. Most trash comes from people living in towns and cities; most of it is biodegradable (around 75 percent) and the remainder is inorganic. Briquettes, compost, and biogas are just a few of the many products that have benefited from organic waste's widespread use. However, only a small percentage of garbage is being recycled into compost or compostable materials. Meanwhile, inorganic waste is very difficult to recycle and cannoteven be recycled naturally, so it requires a very large area of land to offset the production of this waste. Garbage is one of the problems of human life. When people's perspectives of waste, which once saw waste as worthless waste, are changed into crafts that have uses and economic value, those people's perceptions of waste shift, too.
