Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mensosialisasi pengelolaan sampah, pendampingan pengelolaan sampah sehingga terwujudnya sekolah sehat sesuai dengan ketentuan Majelis Dikdasmen PP Muhammadiyah No. 06/KTN/1.4/F/2013 tentang sekolah sehat. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode Participatory Rural Apraisal (PRA). Metode PRA dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan bahwa yang mempunyai atau menghadapi masalah adalah mitra, oleh karena itu keterlibatan mitra secara aktif dalam penentuan pemecahan masalah sangat diperlukan. Tahapan persiapan meliputi ijin kegiatan, menyiapkan kelengkapan dan menyusun jadwal. Tahap pelaksanaan diantaranya manajemen pelaksanaan program meliputi FGD, sosialisasi, pelatihan, praktek, pendampingan, lomba kebersihan kelas dan pengelolaan sampah. Tahap pelaporan meliputi penyusunan dokumen monitoring pelaksanaan kegiatan dan penyusunan laporan. Adapun hasil dari program kemitraan universitas dengan judul PKU Dengan Majelis Dikdasmen PCM Salam: kegiatan pendampingan pengelolaan sampah melalui pendekatan berbasis 3R dalam rangka mewujudkan sekolah sehat di SMP Muhammadiyah Salam adalah terbentuknya kebiasaan positif warga sekolah tentang kesadaran menjaga kebersihan lingkungan dan bagaimana cara mengelola sampah yang baik dan benar. Hal tersebut terbukti dengan hasil monitoring yang dilakukan oleh tim dalam setiap tahap pelaksanaan PKU. Selain hal tersebut, kepala sekolah telah menetapkan kebijakan bahwa kegiatan lomba kebersihan kelas dan pengelolaan sampah menjadi kegiatan rutin tahunan dengan harapan berdampak pada kegiatan lomba sekolah sehat yang dilaksanakan terpusat oleh Majelis Dikdasmen yang sewaktu-waktu akan dilaksanakannya monitoring dan evaluasi terhadap kegiatan tersebut, tim PKU akan senantiasa melakukan pendampingan bila sewaktu-waktu mitra membutuhkan

Abstract

Kurangnya rasa memiliki Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) terhadap Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah (AUM) di tempat tugas, ditengarai menjadi penyebab terhambatnya perkembangan AUM. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan kurangnya perhatian pada pembinaan yang dilakukan oleh Majelis Dikdasmen dalam rangka peningkatan kualitas SDM. Menyadari bahwa SDM membutuhkan kontrol tentang diri mereka, Pimpinan Muhammadiyah Cabang (PCM) Salam dengan Majelis Dikdasmen perlu mengambil peran dalam memberikan pembinaan, pengawasan, serta pendampingan untuk meningkatkan kualitas SDM baik dari segi layanan, pembelajaran dan memupuk rasa memiliki SDM terhadap AUM untuk penguatan kelembagaan. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode Participatory Rural Apraisal (PRA). Tahapan kegiatan diawali persiapan meliputi ijin kegiatan, menyiapkan kelengkapan dan menyusun jadwal pelaksanaan meliputi FGD, penyusunan dokumen monitoring penguatan kelembagaan dan penyusunan laporan. Adapun hasil dari program kemitraan Universitas menunjukkan bahwa rasa memiliki SDM terhadap AUM di lingkungan PCM Salam dalam kategori cukup yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil monitoring keaktifan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan dalam kajian ahad pagi dan kegiatan persyarikatan di lingkungan tempat tinggalnya. Dengan demikian, diperlukan pendamping berkelanjutan untuk mewujudkan SDM yang unggul dan senantiasa meningkatkan rasa memiliki terhadap AUM.

Abstract

This service activity is aimed at improving the quality of MI in order to create a great Madrasa with dignity. This activity uses a participatory rural appraisal (PRA) approach which is carried out in three stages, namely socialization, training, and mentoring. Through training and mentoring, the potential and quality of education personnel has increased. Moreover, the service team is renovating the infrastructure, so that it can support the effort to create a great and dignified madrasa.

Abstract

The attractiveness of madrasa is inseparable from the National Education Standards (SNP) and the measurement results are used as a reference for developing work programs. Two standards that are prioritized for the fulfillment of the eight SNPs are educators and education personnel (HR) and facilities and infrastructure. For this reason, this program is aimed at improving the quality of human resources and infrastructure in order to increase the attractiveness of the community. This program was carried out at MI Muhammadiyah Surodadi 2 Penggaron Hamlet, Gondowangi Village, Sawangan District, Magelang Regency by involving the head of the madrasa and teachers. This program used a participatory rural appraisal approach which is carried out in three stages, namely socialization, training, and mentoring. The result of this program is the increase in HR expertise in graphic design and videography as well as the arrangement of MI facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

The adoption of Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (CHLBs) at MI Muhammadiyah Paremono remains a challenge, primarily due to students' low awareness of hygiene, minimal health practices within the school environment, and limited access to interactive learning media. This community engagement program aimed to enhance students' understanding and adoption of CHLBs through a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) approach. The activities included developing a STEM-based health module, providing teacher training, socializing CHLBs among students, and promoting hygiene practices within the school environment. Learning was delivered interactively through experiments and project-based methods, such as a handwashing simulation using pepper powder to represent germs and the use of the HealthHeroes application to assess the nutritional value of food. The program's effectiveness was evaluated through observation, pre-tests and post-tests, and satisfaction surveys for teachers and students. The results showed a significant average increase of 35.2% in students' understanding of CHLBs, along with an improvement in their hygiene-related behaviors. Teachers also reported feeling more confident in delivering STEM-based health education. As a follow-up, the school will receive a self-evaluation guide and continuous support to ensure CHLB practices are embedded in the school culture. This program is expected to create a sustainable positive impact on health and hygiene within the school environment.
