<![CDATA[This qualitative descriptive research aimed to get an overview of the implementation of Socratic learning with contextual approach viewed by learning process and students critical thinking skill. The subject of research was students of XI IPA 3 class of SMAN 10 Bandar Lampung in the academic year of 2012/2013 which consist of 36 students. The objects of research were all of learning process and the learning result of critical thinking skills test. Based on the analysis of research data, it was concluded that the critical thinking skills of students of XI IPA 3 class of SMAN 10 Bandar Lampung was in enough category. It could be seen from 55,56% students have critical thinking skill in enough category. Based on the observation on each probability meetings, the learning process in Socrates learning with contextual approach was good.Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang penerapan pembelajaran Socrates dengan pendekatan kontekstual ditinjau dari proses belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMAN 10 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang terdiri dari 36 siswa. Objek penelitian adalah keseluruhan proses belajar dan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI IPA 3 SMAN 10 Bandar Lampung tergolong cukup. Hal ini terlihat dari 55,56% siswa memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis cukup. Berdasarkan pengamatan pada setiap pertemuan materi peluang, proses belajar dalam pembelajaran Socrates dengan pendekatan kontekstual berjalan dengan baik.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir kritis, pembelajaran socrates, pendekatan kontekstual, proses belajar]]>

<![CDATA[This was a quasi-experimental research that aimed to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of TAI type viewed by student’s understanding of mathematical concept as compared to conventional learning. The design of this research was posttest only control design. The population of this research was all students of grade eighth of Junior High School state 1 of Punggur. The samples of this research were VIII.8 class students as experimental class and VIII.6 class students as control class. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique. Based on the result of hypothesis testing, it showed that the student’s understanding of mathematical concept who taught by TAI model was higher than conventional learning. The conclusion of this research was the learning model of TAI was more effective than conventional learning viewed by student’s understanding of mathematical concept.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Punggur. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.8 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII.6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Sampel dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model TAI lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional. This research design was post-test only control design. The population of this research was all students of grade X of SMK YPT Pringsewu in academic year of 2013/2014 which was distributed into fifteen class, while this research samples were students of grade X of TKJ 3 as experimental class and grade X of TKR 1 as control class which were selected by purposive random sampling. The conclusion of this research was the implementation of guided-invention method was effective viewed from students mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control design. <![CDATA[This was a quasi experimental research that aimed to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of think pair share type viewed by the understanding of mathematical concepts. The population was all students of grade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Ketapang in academic year 2013/2014 which distributed into six classes as much as 208 students. This research used pretest and post-test control design. The samples in this research were students of class VII D and VII E who selected by purposive random sampling technique. Based on hypothesis testing, it was found that students’ understanding of mathematical concepts of cooperative learning model of TPS type was better than conventional learning, in significance level of 5%. It may concluded that the cooperative learning model of TPS type was effective to apply viewed by students' understanding of mathematical concepts.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Ketapang tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam enam kelas sebanyak 208 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest and post-test control design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII D dan VII E yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh bahwa gain pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih baik dari pembelajaran konvensional dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. <![CDATA[The Influence of Think Pair Share Model Toward Student’s Mathematical Communication Skill. This research aimed to find out the influence of think pair share (TPS) model toward student’s mathematical communication skill. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th Junior High School state of Natar in academic year 2018/2019. Through purposive random sampling technique, students of class of VII-E and VII-F were chosen as the research sample. This research used the pretest-posttest control group design. The research data in the form of mathematical communication skill scores were obtained by the essay test on presentation data chapter. <![CDATA[This research aimed to know the increasing of the ability of mathematical representations of students with realistic mathematics approach. The design which was used was pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade VII of SMP Tamansiswa Telukbetung in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into five classes. The samples of this research were students of VII B and VII E class which were taken by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical representations ability. The conclusion of this research was realistic mathematics education was ineffective to increase mathematical representations ability of students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dengan pendekatan matematika realistik. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Tamansiswa Telukbetung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam lima kelas. The design which was used in this research was pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade 8th of SMPN 12 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into nine classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII F and VIII G class which were taken by purposive random sampling technique. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical communication skill. <![CDATA[This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The research design was post-test only control design. The population was students of grade 8th in second semester of SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu in the academic year 2012/2013 that excluding in the special class. Samples were students of VIII.3 class as experiment class and VIII.2 class as control class that was determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics was taken by test. Data analysis used Mann-Withney test. Based on data analysis, student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics by cooperative learning model of group investigation type was higher than conventional those of learning. So, it was concluded that cooperative learning model of group investigation type influences student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian adalah post-test only control design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang tidak termasuk dalam kelas unggulan. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data pemahaman konsep matematis diperoleh melalui tes. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation lebih tinggi daripada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran konvensional. <![CDATA[This quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model of TPS type towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding in eighth grade students of even semester junior high school state 26 Bandar Lampung. The samples are VIII F as experiment class and VIII C as control class that are obtained by purposive sampling technique. The design research is posttest only. The data of research is student’s mathematical conceptual understanding that is obtained by test. The average value of student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of the TPS class is better than conventional class. It concludes that cooperative learning model of TPS type has influence towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding in eighth grades students of junior high school state 26 Bandar Lampung.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 26 Bandar Lampung. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas VIII F sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan post-test only. Data penelitian pemahaman konsep matematis siswa diperoleh melalui tes. Rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada kelas kontrol.
