Abstract

Group Mitra Indonesia is a company engaged in the field of labor security services provider and investigation. The process of serving services to clients is the main business process running on PT. Group Mitra Indonesia. In the service delivery process there are several other processes that start from the offer and agreement of cooperation with the client, the acceptance and selection of labor, and also the placement of workers at the client company. In the process of presenting the service to the client there are some problems that cause the quality of service is bad. So we need to evaluate the current business process using Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) method. To conduct a business process evaluation today requires the current business process model that is modeled by using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). Next phase is mapping the Quality Factor of every business process that has been modeled and determine the target and calculation of the realization at the company using the formula that has been defined in Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) method. The results of the calculations performed at the evaluation stage will result some inappropriate Quality Factor. fishbone analysis method and 5 whys analysis is used to analyze the nonconformity obtained and is expected to assist the company in obtaining the root of the problem.

Abstract

Kutai Timber Indonesia Kota Probolinggo is a manufacturing company focusing on a timber production and marketing in Indonesia. In such a large company, Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) is definetly used to support the business process. In fact, there is a certain deviation from what is expected to happen and what is actually happened. This deviation might lead to fraud. Because of this, evaluation should be done so that this deviation will not harm the company. In this case, the evaluation is done by extracting event log from the ERP using Disco Tools and ProM Tools and implementing Process Mining as a method. It was found that there are 46 cases do not match the SOP from total 68 cases received in a month. The evaluation results show that the SOP model has fitness 0.88 and structural appropriateness 1.0 because the generated model is derived from YAWL simulation, so the process flow fits to the expected business process. Meanwhile, the model which is generated from event log ERP system has fitness 0.81 and structural appropriateness 0.421 because the activity contained in ERP has many variations and inconsistencies such as repetitive activities, deleted activities, and inserted activities, so that the model can not fully described all traces in the event log.

Abstract

UB Guest House is one of the business unit of Brawijaya University which has responsibility to the Rectorate of Brawijaya University. The running of the business process has a several potential problems that can be hampered to achieve the vision and mission of UB Guest House. The services are not maximal, the system is not integrated, the activities are complex and need a long time, administration and archieving are horrible, they are the problems that founded in the business process at UB Guest House. The Analysis and evaluation are needed to solve the problems and also improvement for the business process. This research uses Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) Diagrams and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method for analysis and evaluation business process and also Business Process Improvement (BPI) method for improvement the business process in UB Guest House. The result of this simulation in current business process (as is) and business process recommendation (to be) on reservation and check-in rooms, and check-out rooms have reached 30.15%.

Abstract

Library in Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) Universitas Brawijaya has many collections which may consists of thesis documents or internship reports with various titles and subjects. Currently there is a search system used to search collections which housed in the library. The system will receive keywords from user and then will perform a search based on the keyword and display the search results. However, the obtained search results may not be relevant from the keyword and not in accordance with user's perceptions and expectations. From this problem there is a solution which is to develop knowledge from library collections with semantic which will be accessed with a web-based system. The ontology is build on collection data using Protégé and the system developed using PHP. Result from white box test method using unit test showed that the system has low logic complexity. Meanwhile with black box test method on validation test, the results from all test cases are valid.

Abstract

PT. Millennium Pharmacon International Tbk Malang is a distributor company which engaged in the field of pharmaceuticals such as medicines and medical equipment. From the business process that runs, there are some potential problems that disrupt the process of distributing goods. Out of stock of goods, stockpiling of goods, and long time processes also unoptimal archiving processes becomes the problem for the business process. It takes analysis and evaluation to maximize the company's performance in achieving the objectives as well as improving the business process. This research uses Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) and TOGAF Architecture Development Method (ADM) method to identify requirement, Fit / Gap analysis to analyze and evaluate business process and Business Process Reenginerin (BPR) to make improvement. From the results of simulations conducted on the current business process (As Is) to business process recommendations (To Be) on ordering goods found that Time Analysis incrase to 76,02%. Business process recommendations can minimize the problems that occur in the company. It can be concluded that the business process recommendation (To Be) can increase the added value for the company and activity that runs more effective and efficient.

Abstract

The mining process in modelling system of business process serves to know an executed business process in the event log that shows a workflow on the running business processs. The format that must be exist in making the event log of business process are case id, timestamp, and activity, then the event log will be transformed in the form of XML mining model and Petri Net model as well. Moreover, ProM tools is a tool in the process of mining which use the existing plugin in ProM tools compared with existing business processes on the company. It is compared based on the parameters available in ProM tools which is to find the value of fitness and structure then those process are compared. In this case, Medika Mulia Hospital in Tuban Regency has develoed its own ERP system. ERP system in this hospital is used as a system that manages all business processes in the hospital. Before the ERP system is used and implemented, it needs an analysis on the business process which is to examine whether it will be in accordance with the ERP system or not. The method that used by the author of this study is mining process analysis.

Abstract

Polytechnic UNISMA is a private entity engaged in education in Malang. In performing their duties there are certain areas that handle certain tasks such as academic field at Polytechnic UNISMA. In academic there are three main business processes that run such as the scheduling of courses, the process of making KRS and the process of making KHS. In conducting the current business process there are some activities that are not in accordance with the target given, therefore it will affect the performance of Polytechnic UNISMA. So we need to evaluate the current business process using Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) to find out the gap that occurs between calculation with QEF and target. Where to do first is modeling business processes using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). The second determines the Quality Factor for several activities that run, then done the calculation on Quality Factor is with Quality metric and identified on Quality Factor that is not in accordance with the target Polytechnic UNISMA. Where identification using Root Cause Analysis to find the root of the problem on the Quality Factor. The result is to find out why a gap exists and root of the problem on the Quality Factor.

Abstract

Website BAKOHUMAS KOMINFO east java is a website that serves as an intermediary for community with government agencies. Where on BAKOHUMAS website there are feature such as news, there is also sharing events that will be held by government agencies. In addition there are also feature for community to be able convey complaints against the performance of a government agency. Complaints from these communities will be distributed by KOMINFO to the responsible agencies. However, the admin must check wether the intended agency already has a match with the content of the complaint. KOMINFO need system to classify complaint content automatically so KOMINFO can save time in delivering community complaints to the appropriate agencies. The method that can be used to build this system is text mining. One method of text mining is the naive bayes classifier. Naive bayes classifier will calculate the weight of words from previously entered data train. The feasibility of this method is tested with ROC to find out the precision, recall, and F-measure of the system classification. Testing result are precision 80,5%, recall 80%, and F-measure 79,9%.

Abstract

Logistics field at PT. PJB UBJOM Paiton Power Plant oversees three other areas of the field of inventory, procurement, and warehouse. In the inventory field, there is a problem of not achieving the company's target in three business process areas from four areas owned by the inventory field. Based on self-assessment data for the third quarter of 2017, the three areas that have not met the target are cataloging, request order making and implementation policymaking. From these problems, it is necessary to evaluate the measurement of the problems that occur in the company, in order to know the factors that cause the unfulfilled targets. The Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) method is used because it can find the gap between the target and the result of the calculation. Business processes that have been modeled using Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) will provide mapping results on the quality factors of each business process. After obtaining an inappropriate factor between the target and the calculation result from the calculation result, then the root problem analysis is done using Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Analysis using FTA can help the company to find the root of the problems found from the problems obtained based on the evaluation results. The advantage of using the FTA method is to identify the relationship between the causes of the problems found. The result of this research is finding 4 factors of evaluation result with QEF method which is not in accordance with target based on the calculation result. And the discovery of 12 root problems from the analysis based on the four factors of the evaluation results.

Abstract

KJPP Aditya Iskandar and Rekan is a business entity engaged in the field of Appraisal Services. KJPP Aditya Iskandar and Partners provide several valuation and consultancy services whose process begins with the acceptance of orders from clients, needs of client order object valuation up to delivery of reports to clients. In running the existing business process, there are some activities that do not fit the target so that hamper the company's activities. Therefore the need for evaluation and improvement of business processes. Steps taken to evaluate and improve current business processes are to identify the main business processes and supporters using Value Shop Anaysis, then modeling using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), then mapping the quality factor and determining the targets and calculations according to the formula that exists on the QEF (Quality Evaluation Framework) method. After the quality factor and company target is obtained by QEF method, it will search the root of the problem using Root Cause Analysis method with Fishbone Analysis technique. Furthermore, BPI (Business Process Improvement) method is used to get business process improvement recommendation which hope can be used by company to improve existing business process before. Based on the results of simulations conducted improvements to the business process Implementation of Assessment Objects to the Field has increased by 92,68 so that if the process is improved will greatly affect the company activity.
