Abstract

The logistics management department is part of the administration section of the Malang City UTD PMI. In UTD PMI Malang City there are sections that are formed to help achieve organizational goals. In the implementation of medical logistics, there are 5 main business processes, namely the receipt of medical logistics goods, purchase of medical logistics goods> Rp. 5,000,000, purchase of medical logistics goods <Rp. 5,000,000, delivery of medical logistics items (for internal), and delivery of goods medical logistics (for external). The implementation of business processes in this section is still often a constraint, namely the execution of time that has exceeded a predetermined time. This study uses a five whys analysis method to determine the root causes of each business process. The results of the analysis in general, the root of the problem is about recording documents that are still using paper which can cause an increase in the organization's expenditure to buy paper and the risk of being lost. Based on the results of the evaluation carried out treatment by using streamlining tools provided by Business Process Improvement (BPI) to make business process recommendations. From the results of the business process recommendations made then a simulation is conducted to see the improvement of each business process. on the business process of delivering medical logistics (for external) goods by 1 hour 41 minutes with a percentage increase of 24.9%.

Abstract

Citra Perdana Kendedes or better known as Citra's Taxies is a provider of transportation services in the form of taximeter cab. There are some key business processes running on company Citra Perdana Kendedes, it starts from incoming orders, shipping fleet, the auction order, pick-up and delivery orders, and service intervals. There are about 1200 incoming orders each day. However, there are hundreds of complaints coming into the company. About 70% of incoming complaints, its about the cab's delay to the customer's place. Because of these problems, it is necessary to hold the evaluation and root analysis of the problems occurred at the company. The steps that will be used in conducting the evaluation of the business process is thermally business functions using the method Value Shop Analysis, then make the models using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) use application of Bonita, then do mapping of Quality Factor in every business process that have been modeled using the Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) method. 5 quality factors are produced, which are not in accordance with the company's target. The discrepancies obtained will be analyzed using 5 whys analysis method. Based on the results of the 5 whys method analysis found 22 root causes. The most root of the problem comes from the driver or human resources. This can be a reference for companies to reduce incoming complaints.

Abstract

PT Kimia Farma Tbk, or Kimia Farma is the first company in Indonesia that focus on pharmacy industry and was built on 1817. As the company that has been taking role for a long time, Kimia Farma has their own strict Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) for their manufacture processes. Analysis on the manufacture process, especially related to the variations that have potential to occur in a process is needed to get the optimal performance. The manufacture processes that analyzed in this study are capsule, cream, syrup, and tablet. The first step is to model and simulate the processes one by one based on the SOP using YAWL tools. In parallel, the other first step is to transform the event log from the ERP system using Disco tools. The analysis is applied using process mining method in ProM tools. The goals are to analyze the variant activity that occur in the process and to classify them into restriction or extension. The result shows that the processes of capsule and syrup are not showing any variability in their manufacture process, this finding is proven by the fitness score that reach 1 for each process.. On the other hand, the result shows that tube blowing activity in cream manufacture process is a variability because of its uncertain position, this finding is proven by the fitness score that only reach 0.93 and this variation is also classified as variability by restriction. And the result also indentified that there is a variation that happen in activity In Process Control (IPC) from tablet manufacture process because of its looping activity, this finding is proven by the fitness score that only reach 0.99, and this variation is also classified as a variability by extension.

Abstract

Universitas Brawijaya (UB) is one of the universities that became an active participant of Student Creativity Program (PKM) organized by Belmawa Dikti. As the most common winner 6 times, UB must improve the quality of competitiveness in order to retain the champion generally back. The steps taken are to submit a proposal of PKM as much as possible with good quality. However, in reality, PKM proposal submission process is not in accordance with the desired target, so that it can hamper the university to reach the target and risk in UB prestative decline. Therefore, it is necessary to do analysis using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Cause and Effect Analysis to determine the root and cause of problems that occur. The first step is to identify key business processes for submitting PKM proposals, then modeling business processes using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). Next determine the failure that occurs along with the cause and effect that will appear and performed calculations using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) equation. The next word is to determine the priority failure of some problems based on the highest value. The three highest problems are then analyzed using Cause and Effect Analysis, the purpose is to know the cause and the root of the problem. The result of this research is recommendation of improvement based on cause and root of problem happened at activity or process which have been analyzed.

Abstract

Toko Buku Galuh is a company engaged in retail business. Toko Buku Galuh has stood since 1998, and has grown to the present. Vision Galuh Bookstore to be at the forefront of the retail business of books in Sidoarjo. Problems arise as the company grows larger that there is no written business process that becomes the benchmark in running the business, so that the decisions made can be changed based on the conditions leading to less effective and efficient business processes. For that required analysis of business processes using Business Process Improvement (BPI) Framework. The first phase of editing Toko Buku Galuh business process uses Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), the second phase performs Process Validation, Time Validation and Resource Validation on business processes. Then determine the streamlining used to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes. From the results of the proposed analysis obtained increased time on sale transactions 64.37%, buyer transactions 77,9%, price tagging 30%, and edit items data 25.9%.

Abstract

Madura Mandiri Indonesia Sejahtera is a print media company called Kabar Madura. From the business processes, there are several potential problems that interfere the processing of newspapers, which is the number of bureaucracy that causes delays in the distribution of goods. So far the company doesn't have an integrated system in processing all business activities, recording and processing company information flow that is prone to errors because it is still done manually, the flow of information is related to data processing news, ad registration, ad extension, design & layouting, and also data related to the processes that exist in the company. Based on these problems, it is necessary to design enterprise architecture to conduct analysis, evaluation and information systems. This study uses the TOGAF Architectur Development Method (ADM), Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) is used to identify needs, Business Process Improvement (BPI) to determine the improvement, in the design and implementation using the OOP technique approach and software functionality testing using the blackbox method. From the results of simulations carried out by the business process (As Is) and business processes (To Be) on advertising registration, an increase in Time Analysis reached 47.1%. The results of functionality testing that has been done indicate that this system has met the needs in accordance with the specified specifications. By doing black box testing it has 17 test cases, and the test results are stated to be 100% successful.

Abstract

Solving problems through guidance and counseling (GC) service with counseling is one of the way that Computer Science Faculty Brawijaya University's students do. But there are many students who haven't use the service. Besides, the GC service hasn't had an information system that can manage the data counseling and the psycotest. Almost all of the activities are still using conventional method, it's caused the data counseling and the psycotest process become slow. The GC service needs a system that can connect the students and the counselor to do counseling indirectly, and it can manage the data counseling and the psycotest. Rational Unified Process (RUP) is a developing method that is choosed to be used in this research because it can control the changing from the system, and it has a good documentation. RUP is used by doing inception, elaboration, contruction, and transition. The result test that has got is all of the functional requirements are all valid with 100% score of validation. Then, the result of compatibility test shows that the system has a good compatibility, The user acceptance testing also provides that the students has score 81,3% with the system's acceptance, and the counselor has score 88,57% with the system's acceptance too. It means that the system is accepted by both the students and the counselor well.

Abstract

Perum Perhutani is a state-owned company engaged in the forestry sector (in the forests of Java and Madura) and carries out the duties and authority to organize forest resource management activities (SDH) by taking into account aspects of production, economic aspects, social aspects and environmental aspects. Perum Perhutani uses Information Technology in carrying out its business processes, but does not yet have a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which is the benchmark and implementation of its activities. So that it is not clear yet the division of tasks in the activities of the business process and can hamper the purpose of a business process. Therefore, this topic to be studied specifically focusing on his business processes, production section, especially the production of teak and jungle. To find out where the problem, a model is needed. The business process model is needed to make it easier to understand the business processes that are currently running. Business processes are modeled using BPMN. The current business process problem is that only 3 actors are running on the business process so that it inhibits the current activity. After that, a proposed business process is made which involves 12 actors and additional activities.

Abstract

Gumcode Indonesia is a company engaged in the field of it development & outsourcing service with some cooperation with partners, agencies and state-owned enterprises (BUMN). Gumcode has several services in example website and both android and ios mobile apps that can be developed. In addition, Gumcode Indonesia also provides developer outsourcing service for the company. The business processes on Gumcode is certainly not running properly and correctly. There are still some problems that have potential to disrupt the business processes. As has been said by the speakers on Gumcode in February 2018, one of the problems that exist in the gumcode business process is the process runs too long. It require analysis and modeling of business processes in order to evaluate the existing business processes on CV. Gumcode Indonesia. This research uses value shop analysis to find out the main activity and supporting activity in business development process at the company, Quality Evaluation Framework (QEF) to evaluate business development process which have been analyzed and modeled. After that, root cause analysis acts to identify the root of problem using 5 Whys method analysis. The result of this research is in the form of cause and root of problem that happened at activity which have been evaluated. There is a discrepancy in the quality factor with the Q3 code that is the suitability of the offer to the client (Failure Frequency). Based on the results of interviews, the target of offering success on the average client is 10 offerings per week. And in per week on average only 3 offerings that made it into the company. Based on the calculation of Quality Factor obtained 30% results from 10 offers. Then the result of Quality Factor is in accordance with the target company

Abstract

Trivia Nusantara is stationary supplier, advertising, and printing company. On the daily business, PT. Trivia Nusantara found out that many processes are done incorrectly, the indication are order processing takes a lot of time to be done and the amount of inventory record does not match with the amount of item in the warehouse. Based on those indication, this research aims to evaluate business process and analyze potential problem that may occur and to address the root cause of identified problem on the business process. The first step is analyzing business process using value chain to identify the main process and the secondary process, also to model the identified process using Business Process and Model Notation (BPMN). The next step is analyzing the potential problem and its effect to the company's business process using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Next step is identifying the root cause of the highest rank from each of the company's business processes using 5-Whys analysis method. From 13 problems identified, there are 7 activities that cannot be solved with Business Process Improvement (BPI) method because the root cause of the problems are human resource. Business process improvement solves 6 activities on menerima order process and menerima barang datang process using streamlining tools on Business Process Improvement (BPI) method. The results of business process improvement are time improvement of 83.77% or 9 minutes 33 seconds per process on penerimaan order process and 1.65% or 33 seconds per process on penerimaan barang process.
