Abstract

Electrochemical sensors are a reliable method for detecting the presence of heavy metal ions such as lead (Pb²⁺) in aquatic environments. In this study, a sensor was developed based on a carbon paste electrode modified with ZnO nanomaterials and polyaniline, and integrated with a data acquisition system using a microcontroller. Voltammetric characterization results showed that the sensor could detect Pb²⁺ with high sensitivity at low concentrations. This system is expected to be applied for real-time and portable water quality monitoring.

Abstract

Introduction: Learning media is a key factor that influences student motivation and learning outcomes. The learning media used should be relevant to students' daily lives, including cultural aspects. One example is the use of digital comics (e-comics) in mathematics, particularly in a cultural context, for teaching material on Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SLETV).Aim: This study aimed to determine the characteristics of mathematical e-comics in a cultural context that are valid, practical, and effective in increasing motivation and learning outcomes among junior high school students.Method: The research used a development method based on the Plomp model, which consists of an initial investigation, design, and assessment stage. The subjects were class VIII students at an Islamic junior high school in West Aceh, Indonesia.Result: The validity scores for the content and media were 4.70 and 4.64, respectively, showing a very high level of validity. Practicality was measured by teacher responses (4.43) and implementation levels (4.21), both indicating very feasible use. The effectiveness was assessed through a Learning Outcomes Test (LOT), student responses, and motivation questionnaires. LOT results showed 82.05% of students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), 80.19% of students gave positive responses, and motivation scores reached 83.86%, indicating very good levels. Conclusion: This research developed a culturally relevant mathematical e-comic for SLETV material, which was found to be valid, practical, and effective in enhancing student motivation and learning outcomes in junior high school. The results suggest that incorporating cultural contexts in digital learning media can positively impact student engagement and achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of readiness of MSMEs with the forms and innovation strategies implemented. Innovation itself is a combination of new ideas, changes, and innovation indices – a combination of innovation behavior – hereafter called innovation. The limitation of previous empirical research is that it has not integrated leadership factors, organizational structure, and service orientation as determinants that influence innovation. Referring to these problems, the aim of this research is to describe innovation in MSMEs, to describe leadership factors, organizational structure and service orientation towards innovation in MSMEs, as well as analyze the relationship model between leadership, structure and service orientation. Based on this, this research seeks to describe innovation in Depok City Creative Industry MSMEs through leadership factors, organizational structure and service orientation as well as analyzing the relationship model between leadership, structure and service orientation. Referring to a theoretical perspective, the nature of this research is explanatory research, which relies on a hypothetico-deductive method with a quantitative approach. The try out method was used in this research with data obtained through one data collection (questionnaire withdrawal). Data analysis is quantitative statistics. Research findings show that there is a significant influence on leadership variables on innovation, but not on organizational structure and service orientation variables. Both variables were not found to have a significant influence on innovation. The centralization of authority in terms of work and decision making strengthens the view that the organization is considered a mechanistic type of organization. Referring to these findings, factors that are thought not to have a positive influence on innovation need to be reviewed and their role increased in the future so that organizations are encouraged to become organic organizations through the distribution of power and authority evenly distributed among members.

Abstract

Lead (Pb) is a toxic metal that is used to trigger oxidative stress. Oxidative stress causes damage to organs, especially the liver increasing aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT). This study aims to determine the synergistic effect of antioxidant as Java plum leaf extract and vitamin C together on lead-induced levels of AST and ALT in rats. This type of research is true experimental research with a randomized posttest-only-control group design. The study used 20 male white rats which were divided into 4 groups. The treatment was carried out for 30 days. The examination for AST and ALT levels using the Micro Lab 300 with the Sample Star method. Data analysis was performed by using One-way Anova and Post Hoc-Turkey HSD.In this study, The results were obtained in the form of a decrease in AST and ALT levels in rats that had been induced lead acetate 40 mg/KgBW by administration of Java plum leaf extract dose 75 mg/KgBW and vitamin C dose 35 mg/KgBW as well as the administration of Java plum leaf extract at a dose of 150 mg / KgBB and vitamin C dose of 75 mg / KgBB with significant influence at the lower dose (p=0,01).It can be concluded that administrating of Java plum leaf extract dose 75 mg/KgBB and vitamin C dose 35 mg/KgBB was effective to protect the liver based on the decrease of AST and ALT levels in rats that had been induced lead acetate dose 40 mg/KgBB

Abstract

Geometry is one of the challenging subjects for students. This study aimed to determine the ability of students to solve geometric transformation problems, the difficulties they experienced, and the causes. This research employed a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. Eight Year 9 students were the subjects of this study. Data were collected through tests and interviews. The data were analyzed quantitatively, followed by qualitative analysis involving reducing data, presenting data, and concluding. The results indicated that the student's ability to solve geometric transformation problems was moderate. Students found it difficult to solve geometric transformation problems. The student's difficulties included determining the translation when a starting point and an image point were given and determining the image of a point/curve by a transformation. Students had not fully mastered the schemes in the geometric transformation, were not proficient in using formulas, and were not precise in their calculations. Keywords: students’ difficulty, transformation, translation, rotation, dilatation.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i4.pp1724-1737

Abstract

Fraction is one of the difficult topic for students. One way to reduce students’ difficulties is to implement Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) by integrating Islamic values such as Sacrifice Worship (Ibadah Kurban). In addition, the use of technology to integrate sacrificial worship in fraction learning is also expected to increase students' interest in learning in the 21st century and can improve students' understanding. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an e-module for learning fractions through RME with the context of Sacrifice worship. The developed e-module contains learning trajectories, live worksheets, videos, and post-tests. This type of research is research and development which follows the stages of Plomp, especially in the prototyping and assessment stages. The instruments in this study were validation sheets. The validators consisted of one mathematics education lecturer and two Banda Aceh City junior high school teachers. Based on the validity test it was concluded that the e-module meets the valid criteria. The implication of this research is the development of e-modules needs to be continued to test practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

This study presents the design and full-wave simulation of a diamond-shaped metamaterial absorber configured in a 4×4 array for applications in radar cross section reduction (RCSR). The structure was modeled on an FR-4 substrate with a copper patch and metallic ground plane to achieve high absorption across the ultra-wideband (UWB) frequency range of 0.09 – 10 GHz. Simulations were conducted using CST Studio Suite. Key radar-related performance parameters including reflection (S11), transmission (S21), and absorption were analyzed. Results indicate that the absorber achieves extremely low reflection values (return loss up to -85 dB), near-zero transmission due to the ground plane, and absorption exceeding 80% in targeted radar bands. These findings demonstrate the high potential of diamond-shaped metamaterial absorbers for stealth applications and electromagnetic wave attenuation in modern radar systems.
