Abstract

Banks    have  important  role  on  economy  of  Indonesia,  with  a  fully-regulated  principle,  Banking  Sectors  in  Indonesia  concern  to  keep  in  a  good performance  according  to  Indonesia  Bank  Rules  No.  13/1/PBI/2011  which emphasize on risk-based approach. Therefore, it is interesting to know the factors that  affect  commercial  banks’  business  risk  that  listed  on  Indonesia  Stock Exchange.  Those  factors  consist  of  risk  profile  (credit  risk,  liquidity  risk,  and interest  rate  risk), good corporate governance, earnings, and capital. The  sample used  in  this  researsh  are  26  commercial  banks  that  listed  on  Indonesia  Stock Exchange  during  research  period  since  2011-2013.  This  research  uses multiple linear  regression  analysis.  The  result  of  the  findings  are  credit  risk  has    effect against business  risk. While,  liquidity  risk does not have  effect  against business risk. Interest rate risk has effect against business risk. Good corporate governance does not have effect  against business risk. Earnings has  significant effect against business risk. Capital does not have effect against business risk. Hence, the  entire implication of the research  is commercial banks’ business risk is affected by three factors from risk-based bank rating (credit risk, interest rate risk, and earnings). Abstract

Cash holding is one of the most significant decisions taken by the financial managers of any food and beverages firms. The decision not only depends on the theoretical view but also the firm-specific variables. The  research  aims to test empirically the effect of Current Asset, Cash Flow, Volatility of Cash Flow, Short Term Debt, Total Debt, Leverage, Market to Book Value Ratio, Tobin’s Q, Size of Firm and Net Working Capital with Cash Holding. Population of the research are food and beverages companies. Data analysis technique uses multiple regression analysis. The results show that Short Term Debt have a  significant influence on Cash Holding and Current Asset, Cash Flow, Volatility of Cash Flow, Total Debt, Leverage, Market to Book Value Ratio, Tobin’s Q, Size of Firm and Net Working Capital have no influence on Cash Holding. Abstract

Investing on sharia stock is a good alternative for funding management because sharia stocks are far away from business which classified as illegitimate business according to Islam. Jakarta Islamic Index  (JII) used as a benchmark  in measuring performance of a stock investment which based on  sharia.  This research  aims to examine the value relevance of accounting information in explaining stock price.  This  research used  Return  on Asset,  Return  on Equity, Earning per Share, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Price to Book Value as proxies of accounting information. The  sample of this research was all the company which listed in JII for five times consecutively from 2007 until 2011. This research was explanatory research, which explain the existence of effect between the dependent and independent variables through a hypothesis testing.  The result  showed  that ROE, EPS, and PBV have significant influence on  stock price, while ROA and DER have no significant influence on the  stock price of companies  listed  in  JII. Abstract

Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) non-banks in Indonesia play an important role in economic growth, one of which is a cooperative. Cooperative support SMEs to obtain funds to be able to continue their business. This research aim to analyze the financial healt employee cooperative non - financial in Koperasi Serba Usaha (KSU) "Galang Dana Mandiri" Madiun in five years (2010-2014). This research using descriptive analysis and replicative based on the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Regulation No.14 / Per / M.KUKM / XII / 2009. The results showed that the predicate of Koperasi Serba Usaha “Galang Dana Mandiri” Kota Madiun   is good enough   at 2010-2014, with a score  of   65.1; 64.1; 63.8; 65.1; 65.1. Performance evaluation shows that the cooperative has improved their performance. Abstract

Real sector investment require substantial capital and need a relatively long time to develop. One of the real sector investment is mining sector which is a capital-intensive industry so it is expected to grow innovative and competitive as well as get achievement of efficiency in the production activity. It have an important role because it is done repeatedly in a regular frequency and absorbs a lot of the cost of production. Therefore, budgeting such as planning and control production costs is needed. The research aims are to know planning and control of production costs and implementation of flexible budget as a tool for planning and control activity of production costs PT. Ansar Terang Crushindo. Research design is a descriptive. Data were collected by interview and documentation. Analysis of the research is comparing between budget and actual production costs as well as analysis of variances. The result show that the company uses a static budget as a basis of comparison realization of the company's production costs. Therefore, variance shows large difference and unfavorable. If flexible budget is used as a planning, variance production cost become smaller because is adapted by the realization of production volume. Implementation of flexible budget is used by splitting cost behavior pattern, separating of fixed and variable costs, and determining activities range.   Keywords : Production costs, Flexible budget, Planning, and Control

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja keuangan PT Kimia Farma (Persero) Tbk. yang diukur dengan menggunakan analisis  Economic Value Added (EVA) dan  Market Value Added  (MVA).  EVA adalah nilai  tambah  ekonomi yang dibuat oleh perusahaan sebagai dampak dari kegiatan dan strategi perusahaan, MVA adalah  nilai  tambah  pasar dari perusahaan yang dapat diberikan untuk investor. EVA dihitung dari hasil pengurangan antara Net Operating Profit After Tax  (NOPAT)  dan Biaya Modal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif.  Periode penelitian ini adalah 2009-2013 tahun. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan pada tahun 2009 sampai 2013 EVA bernilai positif atau EVA > 0. Ini berarti perusahaan mampu memberikan nilai tambah ekonomis kepada investor. EVA adalah penghitungan hasil dari NOPAT dikurangi biaya modal. Untuk mendapatkan EVA yang positif maka nilai NOPAT harus lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan besarnya biaya modal. MVA menunjukkan nilai positif atau MVA > 0, yang artinya perusahaan mampu menciptakan nilai tambah pasar untuk investor. Abstract

Cash management  includes  the  efficient  collection,  payment of  cash  and  temporary investments  in marketable securities. This study aims to determine the management of cash and cash equivalents in order to improve  profitability  in the  PT  Selecta  and  whether  management of  cash  and  cash equivalents are carried out is optimal. Object of this study is the PT Selecta Batu. The results showed, cash management and cash equivalents are carried out by PT Selecta has not been optimal. In 2011, when  the company's liquidity  is  high  due to  large  cash  holdings,  cash  turnover  actually decreased from the previous year. That is because the PT Selecta has not been idle cash invested in marketable securities,  so that the  profit earned  is not maximized.  To  obtain  optimality  in  cash management, investing idle cash can be made through securities firms, one of which is the product of PT Danareksa Sekuritas, Reksa Dana Seruni Pasar Uang III that has a consistent level of return ride. Abstract

The aim of this research is to investigate the entrepreneurial intention of the first-year university students and also the factors that influence the intention. The Liñán’s model as an application of the TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior) was used and the data were analysed with SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). The sample is 162 first-year students of the Management Department of Economics Faculty of Brawijaya University in East Java, Indonesia, who attended the course when the survey was conducted and also willing to complete the questionairs. The findings show that the entrepreneurial intention is directly and positively affected by the attitude toward start-up and the perceived behavioral control. The subjective norm does not directly influence the entrepreneurial intention but indirectly and positively influence the intention through the attitude and the perceived behavioral control.   Keywords: Entrepreneurial intentions, first-year university students, Theory of Planned Behavior

Abstract

The presence of financial technology that often offers and discounts impacting on individual consumptive attitudes, which often makes individuals experience a condition of a financial deficit. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial knowledge, financial attitudes, and personality traits on personal financial management behavior. The population of this research is the teaching staff at one of the Islamic boarding schools in Ponorogo City. The sampling technique used in this study is the saturated sampling technique with a sample size of 31 respondents. The data analysis technique in this study used the PLS structural equation model with the help of the SmartPLS 3.0 program. There is a significant positive effect between financial attitudes and personal financial management behavior.
