Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Bagian Seksi Pengawasan Kantor Pelayanan Pajak Pratama Jambi Pelayangan untuk mengetahui pengaruh uraian pekerjaan terhadap kualitas kerja melalui kecerdasan emosional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 33 pegawai. Kemudian data diolah dengan menggunakan aplikasi Partial Least Squre (PLS). Proses pengujian dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu outer model, inner model dan pengujian hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian diperoleh hasil yaitu 1)terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara uraian pekerjaan terhadap kualitas kerja dengan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,010, 2)terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara uraian pekerjaan terhadap kecerdasan emosional dengan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000, 3)terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional terhadap kualitas kerja dengan nilai signifikasi sebesar 0,000 dan 4)terdapat pengaruh uraian pekerjaan terhadap kualitas kerja melalui kecerdasan emosional dengan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,000 serta seluruh hipotesis diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa uraian pekerjaan yang jelas mampu membantu pegawai dalam mengelola kecerdasan emosionalnya sehingga pegawai dapat meningkatkan kualitas kerjanya.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Market Orientation and Entrepreneurship Orientation on Coffee Shop Performance, with Social Media as a moderating variable. This research was conducted at 49 Coffee Shops in Jambi City, using a questionnaire method to collect data. The analysis tool used is SmartPLS. The research results show that Market Orientation has no significant effect on Coffee Shop Performance, with a T-statistics value of 0.059 and a P-value of 0.477. On the other hand, Entrepreneurial Orientation has a positive and significant influence on Coffee Shop Performance, with a T-statistics value of 1.797 and a P-value of 0.036. Social Media has also been proven to have a positive and significant influence on Coffee Shop Performance, with a T-statistics value of 2,276 and a P-value of 0.011. In addition, this research found that Social Media does not moderate the influence of Market Orientation on Coffee Shop Performance, with a T-statistics value of 0.039 and a P-value of 0.484. However, Social Media moderates the influence of Entrepreneurial Orientation on Coffee Shop Performance, with a T-statistics value of 2.019 and a P-value of 0.022. These findings indicate that Entrepreneurial Orientation and the use of Social Media play an important role in improving Coffee Shop Performance. Therefore, Coffee Shop owners are expected to increase their entrepreneurial orientation and utilize social media more effectively to achieve better performance. Abstract

This research aims to describe leadership support, work culture and proactive work behavior at PT. PLN (Persero) Muara Sabak Customer Service Unit (ULP), as well as testing the influence of leadership support on proactive work behavior, both directly and indirectly, work culture. The population in this study were employees at PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Muara Sabak, totaling 60 employees. Meanwhile, to determine the sample in this research, the census technique was used. The research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods and uses Partial Least Square (PLS) data analysis. The research results show that the support from the leadership of PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Muara Sabak directly or indirectly through work culture has a significant influence on employee proactive work behavior. These results indicate that strong leadership support creates a work culture so that employees can adapt and behave proactively in facing challenges.

Abstract

Pelayangan sub-district is a sub-district in Jambi City where the average income of the population is obtained from small and medium industries (IKM). The product produced is one of the typical products of the Jambi region, including crackers, batik, food, and others. Product marketing that has been carried out so far is still fixated using conventional methods. This is due to the limited knowledge of IKM managers in the Pelayangan District area in utilizing information technology to support the marketing process for the products they produce. With the use of social media and the development of video advertisements on social media, it is possible to expand market share and the resulting product sales transactions. For this reason, in order to expand market share, a community service program for the application of science and technology is carried out. Where in this service program, the development and implementation of assistance in the use of promotional media will be carried out in the form of product videos that are advertised premium on social media in order to expand market share in product sales to small and medium industries (IKM) in Pelayangan Kota District. Assistance activities will be carried out in 3 activity sessions located in Pelayangan District, namely 1 session of delivering material, ideas and ideas about product marketing through advertising services on social media and 2 sessions of making, implementing and mentoring the use of the media. The output resulting from this community service activity is an increase in community understanding and skills about promotion using social media and IKM product videos that are promoted through advertising services on social media.

Abstract

This article examines the dynamics of Islamic entrepreneurship in Southern Thailand, particularly in the provinces of Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat, which are predominantly inhabited by Malay Muslims. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method through a literature review approach, integrating findings on the business practices of Muslim entrepreneurs, the role of Islamic cooperatives, Islamic financial literacy, and community access to halal financing. The results indicate that while the community demonstrates a strong commitment to conducting business in accordance with Islamic principles, Islamic entrepreneurship in the region faces several structural challenges. These include a limited understanding of Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh Muamalah), low levels of Islamic financial literacy, restricted access to formal Islamic financial institutions, and external economic shocks such as the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the existence of the Pattani Islamic Cooperative, community-based business initiatives, and the optimization of Islamic social finance instruments such as zakat, waqf, and sadaqah provide significant opportunities to strengthen the ecosystem. This article concludes that the sustainable development of Islamic entrepreneurship in Southern Thailand requires a strategic integration of ethical reinforcement, institutional support from cooperatives, and enhanced financial literacy.

Abstract

The primary objective of the development of beauty clinics is to attract and maintain customer loyalty toward the services offered. This study aims to analyze the effect of cost leadership strategy on customer loyalty at MyRii Beauty Clinic Jambi, both directly and indirectly through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. In addition, this research examines the effect of cost leadership strategy on customer satisfaction, as well as the effect of customer satisfaction on customer loyalty. This study employs a quantitative approach and is classified as explanatory research. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with the sample size determined using the Slovin formula, resulting in 359 respondents. The findings indicate that cost leadership strategy have a positive effect on customer loyalty at MyRii Beauty Clinic Jambi. Affordable and efficient pricing are able to enhance customer satisfaction, which in turn encourages customer loyalty. Furthermore, customer satisfaction is proven to play a crucial role in strengthening the relationship between cost leadership strategy with customer loyalty, both through direct effects and as a partial mediating variable. These findings confirm that customer satisfaction is a key factor in building sustainable customer loyalty.

Abstract

Perusahaan sektor publik di Indonesia, khususnya Perusahaan Umum Daerah Air Minum (PERUMDAM), menghadapi tantangan yang semakin besar dalam kualitas pelayanan, inovasi digital, dan tata kelola yang berkelanjutan. PERUMDAM Tirta Mayang Kota Jambi mencatat 13.413 pengaduan pelanggan pada tahun 2024, dengan mayoritas pengaduan masih dilakukan secara konvensional, yang mengindikasikan belum optimalnya pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh prinsip Environmental, Social, dan Governance (ESG) terhadap inovasi layanan publik melalui Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) sebagai variabel mediasi pada PERUMDAM Tirta Mayang Kota Jambi.  Pendekatan kuantitatif cross-sectional digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan 186 karyawan aktif sebagai responden yang dipilih menggunakan rumus Lemeshow. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner terstruktur dan dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) melalui program SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prinsip Environmental berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Entrepreneurial Orientation (koefisien jalur = 0,561; p = 0,000), sedangkan prinsip Social dan Governance tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Entrepreneurial Orientation terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap inovasi layanan publik (koefisien jalur = 0,454; p = 0,000). Selain itu, Entrepreneurial Orientation hanya memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara prinsip Environmental dan inovasi layanan publik, namun tidak memediasi prinsip Social maupun Governance. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan bahwa pengintegrasian keberlanjutan lingkungan ke dalam budaya kewirausahaan merupakan kunci dalam mendorong inovasi layanan publik. Organisasi publik perlu memprioritaskan implementasi ESG, khususnya dimensi environmental, guna memperkuat kapasitas inovatif dan kualitas layanan.

Abstract

New Public Management (NPM) has been widely adopted to improve public sector performance through efficiency, accountability, and performance-based management. However, the success of such reforms depends not only on managerial systems but also on leadership mechanisms that translate reform principles into service outcomes. This study aims to examine the effect of NPM on service performance through the mediating roles of servant leadership, task-oriented behaviour, relations-oriented behaviour, and change-oriented behaviour. This study employed a quantitative explanatory design using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected from 200 civil servants working in local government organizations in Jambi Province, Indonesia, through a structured questionnaire. The measurement and structural models were evaluated using SmartPLS 4.0. The findings show that NPM has a significant positive effect on servant leadership as well as on task-oriented, relations-oriented, and change-oriented behaviours. NPM also has a direct positive effect on service performance. Among the proposed mediators, only servant leadership has a significant positive effect on service performance and significantly mediates the relationship between NPM and service performance. In contrast, task-oriented, relations-oriented, and change-oriented behaviours do not show significant effects on service performance and do not mediate the relationship. These findings indicate that the effectiveness of NPM reforms is strongly influenced by value-based leadership rather than by behavioural dimensions alone. This study contributes to the public administration literature by offering a multidimensional mediation model and demonstrating that servant leadership is a more decisive mechanism in translating managerial reforms into improved service performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di RSUD Raden Mattaher Jambi bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh pengembangan sumber daya manusia terhadap kinerja perawat yang dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja perawat. Penelitian yang dilakukan bersifat penelitian kualitatif, dengan populasi adalah perawat yang masa kerjanya lebih dari satu tahun berjumlah 451 orang perawat. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 82 orang perawat, penentuan jumlah sampel pada bagian instalasi rawat inap dan instalasi rawat jalan dengan menentukan proporsinya sesuai dengan jumlah perawat pada dua bagian tersebut. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) dengan menggunakan pendekatan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan sumber daya manusia berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, pengembangan sumber daya manusia berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja perawat, kepuasan kerja pada perawat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja perawat, dan pengembang sumberdaya manusia melalui kepuasan kerja berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan kinerja perawat.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to revisit the relationship between New Public Management (NPM) and public service performance by examining leadership behavior as a mediating mechanism within the Jambi Provincial Government. Research Methodology: This study used a quantitative explanatory design in the context of the Jambi Provincial Government, Indonesia. Data were collected from 126 civil servants across seven regional agencies through stratified random sampling and analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 4.0. Results: The findings show that New Public Management significantly influences task-, change-, and relationship-oriented leadership behaviors and directly improves public-service performance. However, leadership behavior neither significantly affected service performance nor mediated the relationship between NPM and service performance. Conclusions: These findings suggest that managerial reforms associated with NPM contribute directly to improvements in public service performance while simultaneously shaping leadership behavior in public organizations. Nevertheless, leadership behavior does not function as a statistically significant mediating mechanism in the relationship between NPM and the service performance. Limitations: This study is limited to civil servants in selected regional government agencies in Jambi Province and relies on perception-based survey data, which may reduce generalizability and introduce subjective bias. Contributions: This study contributes to the NPM and public leadership literature by clarifying that leadership behavior does not necessarily function as a mediating mechanism in the relationship between NPM and public service performance in local government contexts.
