Abstract

Concept understanding and product creativity of Ma'arif class VII A junior high school students are less than optimal. This problem is because learning activities do not invite students to increase literacy. Based on this, it is necessary to innovate learning. The purpose of this research is to apply Li-Pro-GP learning (Project-Based Science Literacy in the integrated scientific literacy movement strengthening character education) to improve conceptual understanding and creativity of learning poster products. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research population is seventh-grade junior high school students. While sampling using purposive sampling. The research sample is all Ma'arif junior high school students in class VII A. Data collection techniques use tests and documentation with research instruments, namely written test questions in the form of essays used to pretest and posttest. The measurement of the creativity of the learning poster product uses the product creativity rubric. Data analysis using paired t-test with the help of data processing applications IBM SPSS 26 and Ms.Excel. The results showed that: 1) there was an effect of using the Li-Pro-GP learning model on the ability to understand concepts; 2) there is an effect of using the Li-Pro-GP learning model on the creativity of the learning poster product.

Abstract

The results of the observation showed that there were still many students in histology subjects who did not yet have critical thinking competencies and maximum histology concept. The purpose of this study was to find out how project-based learning through blended learning can develop critical thinking skills and student histology concept. This type of research is classroom action research. The sample of this study was students of class C histology class 2018/2019 as many as 35 students of Malang Muhammadiyah University. The research method is in the form of observation, interviews, and tests. The learning management system used in this research blended learning uses Edmodo. The results showed that there was a change in the improvement of critical thinking skills and student histology concept from cycle I to cycle II. Critical thinking skills in the cycle I showed that 23% were complete and 77% were non-complete, while the cycle II was 80% complete and 20% non-compete. Critical thinking skills from cycle I to cycle II increased by 57%. Histology concept in the cycle I found 69% complete and 31% non-complete, while the cycle II was 100% complete and 0% non-complete. Histology concept from cycle I to cycle II increased by 31%. Based on this, project-based learning through blended learning can develop critical thinking skills and student histology concept.

Abstract

Kanker menjadi permasalahan kesehatan dunia karena menyebabkan kematian dan diperkirakan akan terus mengalami peningkatan. Menurut The Global Cancer Observatory (2020) kasus kanker di Indonesia mencapai 6,89%. Pengobatan kanker dengan memblokir H1R (Histamine 1 Receptor) dengan antagonisnya berpotensi menurunkan proliferasi sel kanker. Senyawa flavonoid seperti quercetin, kaempferol dan pelargonidin dapat mereduksi dan berinteraksi dengan protein sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai antagonis H1R antikanker. Studi in silico ini bertujuan mengetahui potensi senyawa quercetin, kaempferol dan pelargonidin terhadap H1R sebagai antikanker. Data senyawa quercetin, kaempferol dan pelargonidin dikumpulkan melalui database Pubchem dan struktur H1R dari database PDB dengan kode 3RZE. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan teknik analisis data berupa kuantitatif deskriptif berdasar nilai binding affinity dari proses penambatan molekuler melalui software Autodock tools 1.5.6, nilai ADME Lipinski’s Rule of Five dari webtools swissADME dan toksisitas dari webtools pkCSM. Interaksi ikatan senyawa pelargonidin, kaempferol, quercetin sebagai antagonis reseptor histamin 1 pada penambatan molekuler divisualisasikan menggunakan Discovery Studio 2021. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya interaksi elektrostatik pada residu ASP107 yang  berperan penting sebagai antihistamin yang berpotensi memblokir H1R melalui mekanisme pensinyalan protein G sehingga aktivitas PKA menurun yang menyebabkan terganggunya invasi sel tumor. Selain itu, berdasarkan prediksi prinsip Lipinski’s Rule of Five menunjukkan adanya kemiripan obat oral  dan prediksi pkCSM tidak bersifat toksisitas.

Abstract

Indonesia dikenal sebagai negara dengan tingkat keanekaragaman hayati flora yang sangat beragam dan keanekaragaman indigenous knowledge seperti pangan fungsional dan ramuan tradisional lainnnya. Kecamatan Sendang merupakan daerah yang memiliki kelimpahan tumbuhan untuk dijadikan obat dan masyarakatnya memanfaatkan tumbuh – tumbuhan sebagai pengobatan tradisional. Ilmu pemanfaatan tumbuhan sebagai obat ini diwariskan secara turun – temurun. Sehingga dikhawatirkan ilmu pemanfaatan tumbuhan ini akan hilang oleh kemajuan zaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi jenis, cara pemanfaatan, serta khasiat tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Kecamatan Sendang Kabupaten Tulungagung menunjukkan kajian implementasi sebagai sumber belajar biologi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kualitatif sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dan snowball sampling yang melibatkan 30 responden. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 47 spesies tumbuhan obat yang dikelompokkan ke dalam 34 famili. Cara pemanfaatannya yaitu dengan cara direbus, diseduh, dihaluskan, diparut, diperas, ditumbuk dan tanpa diolah. Khasiat tumbuhan obat dapat digunakan untuk mengobati 4 kategori jenis penyakit, yaitu penyakit kronis, penyakit kronis, penyakit menular, penyakit tidak menular, dan menjaga kesehatan tubuh.

Abstract

Media and teaching materials that suit learning needs can improve the quality of learning. The research aims to describe the use of media and teaching materials in science learning. The type of research is a survey. Research in June-September 2023 at Middle Schools in the Greater Malang Region. The research population was junior high school students and teachers in the Greater Malang area. The research sample was 584 students and 18 teachers. The data collection technique uses a media and learning material needs analysis questionnaire. The research instrument is a needs analysis questionnaire sheet. Data was analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively. The research results show that the media and teaching materials used by teachers are quite good, but teachers rarely use a variety of media and teaching materials. The learning media that teachers often use are learning videos and the teaching materials that are often used are textbooks. Science learning still requires supporting media and teaching materials, one of which is expected to be an e-module
