Abstract

This study aims at implementing authentic assessments in mathematics learning in the classroom by developing mathematical learning and assessment tools with Islamic culture based Contextual Teaching and Learning approach that meet valid, practical, and effective requirements. The research procedure adopted the 4-D Development model, those are Defining, Planning, Developing and distributing stages. The instrument used to assist the research process consisted of (1) device validation sheet, (2) practicality questionnaire from the teacher, (3) student response questionnaire, (4) Instrument of student motivation and learning outcomes. The validity quality of learning devices meets valid criteria based on the average score of the syllabus which reaches 4.18, lesson plan 4.18, textbook 4.28, and the instrument meets the valid index based on the aikens formula. The practicality quality of learning devices meets practical criteria based on the assessment of practicality of the teacher in which the average score reaches 4.75, and the response questionnaire assessment of students is 493. Based on the result of Manova test, it can be concluded that the use of Mathematics learning and assessment model with Islamic culture based Contextual Teaching and Learning approaches is effective in terms of learning outcomes and student motivation.

Abstract

The study aims to evaluate a program of channeling educational fund, Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP), for vocational school (sekolah menengah kejuruan or SMK). This research was evaluation research using mix method approach. The evaluation model used was the CIPP model covering context, input, process, and product. The respondents of the study were 702 principals, 125 student’s parents, and 15853 students of the SMKs spreading across 29 out of 34 provinces in Indonesia. Data collection techniques used were analysis, survey, interview, observation, and study documentation. The instruments used were analysis sheets, questionnaires, interview guidelines, observation sheets, and the list of related documents. Data analysis techniques used were quantitative descriptive and qualitative and comparing the result with the PIP evaluation success criteria. The results show that the overall PIP implementation runs well with details in aspects: (a) context, the PIP socialization is implemented well, the PIP objectives performance is in the very good category and can ease students’ costs in the excellent category; (b) input, the school provides particular staffs executing PIP showing the excellent category; (c) process, the targeted accuracy of most PIP students at SMK states that they follow the provisions. Based on the PIP SMK management role and function, the institute has served well; (d) product, most issues reported of the PIP funds for SMK indicate that the use of the fund by students is suitable with the provision and its management. The current model of the PIP aid funds needs to be advanced, particularly with several aspects unsteady.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the online learning system in natural science subject for the junior high school level in Yogyakarta. This research uses CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). The research subjects are two school principals, five natural science teachers, and 267 grade VII, VIII, and IX students in State Junior High School (sekolah menengah pertama negeri or SMPN) 9 Yogyakarta and Nurul Ummah Islamic Junior High School (Madrasah Tsanawiyah or MTs), Kotagede, Yogyakarta. Data were collected through questionnaires and interview guidelines validated through the process of expert judgment to prove the construct validity using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The instrument's reliability was analyzed using Alpha Cronbach, while the results were analyzed using the qualitative descriptive method. According to the context aspect, the results of this research are in the form of online school program objectives to meet the needs of flexibility, ideal operational technology tools, and the professionalism of Natural Science teachers in practicum activities considered in the fairly good category. According to the input context, the results are in the form of an online system supported by the internet access facility and the scheduling, procedure, and capabilities of Natural Science teachers, considered in the good category. According to the process aspect, the results are in the form of online learning, considered in the good category. Meanwhile, according to the product aspect, the results are in the form of quality achievement on learning outcomes and the support of the online learning system implementation, considered in the good category.

Abstract

The study was aimed at producing a valid and reliable higher-order thinking skill (HOTS) test instrument using Lombok local cultures as contexts in the junior secondary school mathematics subject matter. The study is developmental research involving a field try-out of 75 students of Grade VIII. Data were analyzed using classical test theories of difficulty levels, discriminating powers, and functioning distractors. The test validity is assessed using the Aiken formula and reliability is estimated by Cronbach Alpha. Findings show that, of the 20 initial multiple-choice items, 15 were valid and reliable and had the characteristics of good test items with a medium-rated difficulty level average of 0.28, a good-rated discriminating power of 0.31), a good-rated reliability coefficient of 0.79, and all distractors well-functioning.

Abstract

The online learning policy has been implemented in Indonesia at all levels of education since March 2020 to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic from spreading. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of accounting learning with an online system using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The research subjects consisted of 14 teachers and 256 Vocational High School (VHS) students majoring in Accounting and Finance in Purworejo Regency. The analysis technique used questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that: (1) the success rate of the online accounting learning system in the context aspect obtained a mean score of 3.07 (76%) with a good category; (2) the success rate of online accounting learning system on the input aspect obtained a mean score of 2.81 (72)% in a good category; (3) the success rate of online system accounting learning in the process aspect obtained a mean score of 2.76 (67%) with a good category; (4) the success rate of the online accounting learning system in the product aspect obtains a mean score of 2.98 (75%) with a good category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of online system accounting learning during the COVID-19 pandemic is in a good category.

Abstract

Peningkatkan hasil belajar merupakan salah satu indikator dalam menentukan keberhasilan siswa. Hasil belajar merupakan hasil pencapaian dari pemilihan model pembelajaran yang digunakan. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan mencapai tujuan pembelajaran melalui pendekatan pembelajaran inovatif. Pendekatan pembelajaran inovarif yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran ini yaitu problem based learning (PBL) dan numbered head together (NHT) dengan media pembelajaran menggunakan sempoa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk megetahui efektivitas pendekatan PBL dengan model NHT berbantuan sempoa untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment dengan subjek siswa kelas VIII A dan VIII B SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School Klaten yang berjumlah 37 siswa pada semester genap dan dengan desain penelitian menggunakan non-equivalent control grup design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen menggunakan pendekatan PBL dengan model NHT berbantuan sempoa sebesar 84,2 dan kelas kontrol menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 69,73. Hasil pretest dan posttest pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil perhitungan uji t didapatkan nilai t hitung lebih besar daripada t tabel yang artinya bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PBL dengan model pembelajaran NHT berbantuan sempoa efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

AbstrakOpportunity to Learn (OTL) atau kesempatan dalam belajar serta penggunaan internet menjadi konstruksi penting dalam lingkungan belajar yang berdampak pada kualitas pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian terkait keduanya telah dilakukan di beberapa negara dan terbukti berkontribusi dalam prestasi literasi matematika. Namun penelitian serupa belum dilakukan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan gender, kesempatan belajar, dan penggunaan internet terhadap prestasi literasi matematika. Dengan menggunakan analisis multilevel pada hasil survei PISA 2012 dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 1473 siswa Indonesia dari 163 sekolah, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi variabel tingkat siswa dan sekolah yang berkontribusi terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa gender dan penggunaan internet berpengaruh terhadap literasi matematika siswa Indonesia, sedangkan OTL bukan merupakan prediktor signifikan. Dimana siswa laki-laki memiliki pencapaian literasi matematika lebih baik dibanding siswa perempuan dan penggunaan internet berpengaruh positif terhadap pembelajar matematika. Sehingga hasil analisis dapat digunakan guru untuk merancang pedagogi, bahkan pengambil kebijakan untuk mengatasi berbagai permasalahan di masa kini maupun masa akan datang. Abstract Opportunity to Learn (OTL) and internet school work are important construct in the learning environtment and has an impact on the quality of learning mathematics. These studies have been conducted in several countries and have been proven to contribute to achievement in mathematical literacy. However, similar research has not been conducted in Indonesia. This study examines the relationship between gender, opportunity to learn, and internet school work on mathematical literacy achievement. Using a multilevel analysis of the 2012 PISA’s result, with a total sample of 1473 Indonesian student from 163 schools, this study explores student and school level variables that contribute to mathematical literacy. The statistical analysis result shows that gender and internet school working have an effect on Indonesian students’ mathematical literacy, while OTL is not a significant predictor. Where, male students have better mathematical literacy achievement than female and the internet school work has a positive effect on mathematics learners.So the results can be used by teacher to design pedagogies, and even by policymakers to overcome various problems in the present and in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik SMP menggunakan LKPD berbantuan WhatsApp Group berdasarkan gender. Metode penelitian menggunakan tindakan kelas tiga siklus. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, angket, lembar observasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dan uji one sample t-test. Hasil penelitian sebelum tindakan didapatkan rata-rata motivasi peserta didik laki-laki 22.73 dan perempuan 25.41. Setelah diberikan tindakan 3 siklus didapatkan nilai rata-rata peserta didik laki-laki 24,47, 25,13 dan 26,33. Nilai rata-rata peserta didik perempuan 26,65, 27,41 dan 29,18. Hasil uji t pada 3 siklus didapatkan nilai berturut-turut 0,029, 0,035, dan 0,03. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar peserta didik perempuan lebih tinggi daripada laki-laki. Sedangkan hasil belajar sebelum diberikan tindakan didapatkan nilai rata-rata peserta didik laki-laki 42,00 dan perempuan 60,59. Setelah diberikan tindakan 3 siklus didapatkan nilai rata-rata peserta didik laki-laki 58,33, 70,67, dan 78,67. Nilai rata-rata peserta didik perempuan 71,18, 83,53, dan 88,24. Hasil Uji t pada siklus 1 dan 2 berturut-turut 0,042, dan 0,035. Sedangkan pada siklus 3 tidak ada perbedaan hasil belajar peserta didik berdasarkan gender. Berdasarkan analisis data maka penggunaan LKPD berbantuan WhatsApp Group kelas VIIIA efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika yang didasarkan pada perbedaan gender. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh motivasi, self-efficacy, dan latar belakang pendidikan terhadap prestasi matematika mahasiswa PGSD dan PGMI. (2) perbedaan pengaruh motivasi, self-efficacy, dan latar belakang pendidikan terhadap prestasi matematika mahasiswa PGSD dan PGMI. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Rata-rata prestasi belajar matematika mahasiswa PGSD 57,95 (cukup) dan PGMI 50,93 (rendah); rata-rata motivasi mahasiswa PGSD 110 (tinggi) dan PGMI 99,57 (sedang); rata-rata self-efficacy mahasiswa PGSD 86,61 (tinggi) dan PGMI 81,55 (tinggi). (2) Motivasi, self-efficacy dan latar belakang pendidikan secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap prestasi matematika mahasiswa PGSD dan PGMI. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t, motivasi dan self-efficacy masing-masing berpengaruh terhadap prestasi matematika mahasiswa PGSD dan PGMI sedangkan latar belakang pendidikan tidak berpengaruh terhadap prestasi matematika mereka. (3) Uji kesamaan menunjukkan ada perbedaan pengaruh motivasi dan self-efficacy terhadap prestasi matematika mahasiswa PGSD dan PGMI.Kata kunci: motivasi, self-efficacy, latar belakang pendidikan, prestasi matematika
