Abstract

This study aims to enhance the learning outcomes and engagement of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 5 Negara by implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. PBL was chosen to address challenges in mathematics education, such as low student motivation and participation, by providing contextual and relevant learning experiences. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted over three cycles during the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The study involved 38 students as subjects, with data collected through tests and observations and analyzed using descriptive statistical methods with SPSS. The results showed a significant improvement in the students' average scores, increasing from 51.42 in Cycle I to 65.87 in Cycle II, and reaching 81.11 in the Post-test. Additionally, a decrease in standard deviation from 19.93 to 8.1 indicated more consistent learning outcomes. The proportion of students meeting the passing criteria also increased significantly across cycles, with nearly all students achieving success in the Post-test. These findings demonstrate that the PBL model is effective in improving students’ understanding of mathematical concepts while creating a more active, enjoyable, and effective learning environment to address challenges in mathematics education.

Abstract

This study explores how government support and social media impact the performance and sustainability of small food and beverage businesses in Indonesia. The food and beverage (F&B) industry is vital for the country's economy, with MSMEs playing a key role. Despite challenges, the government is promoting Industry 4.0 to enhance the industry's competitiveness. MSMEs make a significant contribution to the F&B sector but face barriers like limited resources and the impact of events like the COVID-19 pandemic. This research looks at how government support and social media, when combined, influence these businesses. Using surveys and statistical analysis, the study finds a positive connection between government support and MSME sustainability and performance. Social media also shows a positive impact on sustainability and performance. The findings suggest the government should increase funding and support eco-friendly practices. MSMEs are encouraged to use social media for effective marketing, branding, and cost-saving, contributing to their overall success and sustainability. The study highlights opportunities for further research and a comprehensive evaluation of Indonesia's MSME ecosystem.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a major global health issue that can lead to serious complications and long-term medical care. This study aims to identify key clinical factors associated with CKD status using binary logistic regression analysis. The dataset, obtained from Kaggle, contains 400 patient records with various clinical and demographic attributes. The dependent variable is CKD status (positive or negative), while the independent variables include age, blood pressure, hemoglobin level, urine albumin level, and serum creatinine. Initial analysis involved descriptive statistics and multicollinearity checks, followed by model estimation and evaluation using likelihood ratio and Wald tests. The final model identified four significant predictors: blood pressure, hemoglobin, urine albumin, and serum creatinine. The model achieved a high classification accuracy of 95.50% and an Area Under the ROC Curve (AUC) of 98.78%, indicating excellent predictive performance. These results highlight the importance of these clinical indicators in early CKD detection and support their use in risk assessment models for kidney disease screening Keywords: Chronic Kidney Disease, Binary Logistic Regression, Likelihood Ratio Test, Wald Test, Classification Accuracy

Abstract

This research is quantitative with an explanatory approach, namely an approach that has a fulcrum in previous research. The data used in this research is primary, which the researcher obtained from the annual report of the National Statistics Agency from 2015 to 2024. The data that the researcher obtained was analyzed using the smart PLS 4.0 analysis tool. The result in this article shows that the Capital Expenditure variable can have a positive relationship and an insignificant influence on Company Performance because the P-values are positive and below the 0.05 significance level, namely 0.063. These results are inconsistent with the second study. These results indicate no positive relationship between regional Capital Expenditure and good regional Financial Performance. Other relevant factors include Good Corporate Governance, Regional Original Income, etc. The second hypothesis in this article also shows a positive but insignificant relationship because the P-values are at 0.051, less than 0.05. Based on this, it can be concluded that this article's first and second hypotheses cannot be accepted.
