Abstract

Bank in general have a function to move economy of a country, so they required to be in good physical condition in order to execute their purposes directly. The value of bank performance and soundness level can be measured using several ratios, one of which is net interest margin (NIM). NIM in Indonesia’s Bank until 2019 is the highest among ASEAN countries. The purpose of the research is modeling also determining the significant factors that affect the profitability of Bank for Regional Development (BPD) in Indonesia. The results show that the chosen model to model the open unemployment rate in Indonesia is a panel data model with the effect of time with of 32.47% and significant affect by BOPO.

Abstract

Nutrition is one of the risks that trigger morbidity and mortality. Malnutrition, especially at an early age, will increase infant and child mortality and have short stature as adults. The standard that can be used to measure chronic nutritional status is to classify the nutritional status of toddlers based on height according to age, one of the methods that can be used in this classification is discriminant analysis. Discriminant analysis is a statistical analysis used to classify individual status into classes or groups based on a set of variables. The classification of the nutritional status of children under five is categorized into stunting and normal groups based on the variables under five, birth length, birth weight, anemia status and mother's age during pregnancy using discriminant analysis on secondary data taken in 2015 as many as 116 samples, with birth weight as an indicator of participation in model with a classification accuracy rate of 65.6% on training data and 74% on testing data.

Abstract

COVID-19 has spread widely to all parts of the world, including Indonesia. Bali is included in the top ten with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia. The spread of COVID-19 is thought to be influenced by various factors in each location that cause spatial heterogeneity. The method that can be used to analyze if there is spatial heterogeneity is Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). This study aims to model the factors that influence the number of COVID-19 cases in Bali. The results showed that the GWR model with the adaptive kernel bisquare weighting function was more suitable to be used to model the number of COVID-19 cases in Bali because it had the largest value of 96.36%. The factors that influence the number of COVID-19 cases in Bali are population density and the population aged 20-44 years old.

Abstract

Crime is any action or behavior that violates the law and is prohibited by the state and society. East Java is a province that ranks second after North Sumatra with a number of crimes above the average, reaching 11% of the total number of crimes in Indonesia. This shows that the level of security in East Java still needs to be improved in order to minimize crime rates and provide a sense of security to all people in East Java Province. The goal to be achieved in this study is to model and find out the factors that significantly influence the crime rate in East Java Province for the 2017-2021 period using spatial panel data regression analysis. This research shows that there is a spatial lag effect of the model, with the model chosen to model the crime rate in East Java Province is the spatial lag fixed time effect with an of 71.54%. Factors that significantly influence are the number of unemployed, population density, average length of schooling, total population.

Abstract

Illiteracy is one of the problems in education in Indonesia. The high illiteracy rate can be an obstacle in the world of education, resulting in a low Human Development Index. West Nusa Tenggara Province is one of the provinces in Indonesia with an illiteracy rate that is still above average with cases reaching 12.58% in 2018. The purpose of this research is to model and obtain factors that significantly affect the illiteracy rate in West Nusa Tenggara Province for the period 2016-2020. The method used in this research is panel data regression. The results obtained in this research show that the best model chosen to modelling the illiteracy rate in West Nusa Tenggara Province is the Fixed Time Effect Model panel data regression with R2 of 73.19%. The independent variables that have a significant effect are the number of poor people, gross regional domestic product (GRDP), primary school student-teacher ratio, and the percentage of households that use computers/laptops.

Abstract

Spatial regression is an extension of classical regression analysis by considering spatial elements of spatial elements. One of the model of spatial regressions is the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). In the analysis, the GWR method considers the differences in characteristics between regions (spatial heterogeneity). Diarrhea cases in toddlers can be modeled using the GWR model. This research aims to model and identify factors that significantly influence diarrhea cases in toddlers in each district in East Java Province in 2020 using GWR. There are two weighting functions used in this research that are fixed bisquare kernel and adaptive bisquare kernel. The results showed that the GWR model with the adaptive kernel bisquare weighting function was more suitable because it produced the highest value of 79.29%. The factors that have a significant effect in each district are different and the dominant factor is the provision of vitamin A to toddlers.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the variables that have a significant impact on the stages of a well-off family in Sidemen Sub-district based on indicators obtained from the BKKBN and to classify the stages of a well-off family. This study used secondary data obtained from the stage of well-being data, Sidemen Sub-district, Karangasem Regency from BKKBN, totaling 1796 families. The method used is ordinal logistic regression and bagging ordinal logistic regression. Based on the logit regression model of ordinal logistic regression and ordinal logistic regression bagging, there are fourteen variables that have a significant effect on the dependent variable, namely marital status, type of insurance, age of head of household, occupation of head of household, having a source of income, eating a variety of food, having savings, accessing information from online media, families have ever recreated together, families have ever participated in social/community activities, the largest type of floor, main source of drinking water, ownership of a house/building, and children are still in school. The classification accuracy level in testing data using the ordinal logistic regression method was 79.4%, while the classification accuracy level using the bagging ordinal logistic regression method with 50,000 replications was 82.78%, so bagging showed an increase in classification by 3.38%.

Abstract

Diphtheria is a disease that is easily transmitted, caused by a bacterium called Corynebacterium Diphtheria which attacks the respiratory tract so that sufferers experience difficulty breathing and can cause death. This research aims to model the factors method which is suspected of influencing diphtheria cases in East Java Province using spatial regression The data used is secondary data obtained from publications East Java Province Health Profile 2018 and publications from the Central Agency East Java Statistics (BPS). The results showed that the best model obtained was Spatial Error Model (SEM) with AIC=286,16 dan R2=55,98%. Variabels that significantly influence diphtheria in East Java province in 2018 are: population aged 10 years and over with junior high school education, the number of DPT-HB immunizations, and the percentage of poor people

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of change in emotional, physical, interests and behavior patterns. Teenagers begin to leave childish attitudes and behavior and begin to show the ability to behave maturely. This smoking behavior can cause various negative impacts on adolescents both in terms of health, economics, social and psychological. This study aims to analysis what factors cause adolescents to smoke. The method used in this research is exploratory factor analysis. Based on the results of factor analysis, four factors were obtained that influenced smoking behavior among adolescents in South Kuta, namely psychological factors, advertising factors, knowledge factors, and family environment factors. These four factors are able to explain the factors that influence smoking behavior in adolescents in South Kuta by 64.667%.

Abstract

Life satisfaction is one of the most ambigious concept to take a hold on. One’s degree of life satisfaction can differ from other person even though they have a realtively similliar life. This research studies people who play video games regularly (gamers) from the age of eighteen to fifty six. As one of the common trait or stereotipically seen that gamers have difficulty in social aspect of their lifes. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), the research will try to confirm the relationship between anxiety and social phobia toward life satisfaction. The final model shows that anxiety and social phobia shows a significant negative affect towards life satisfaction of gamers.
