Abstract

This study addresses the limited use of interactive media in IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) instruction at the elementary level, which often leads to low student engagement. To enhance learning outcomes and motivation, this research aimed to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of an interactive Canva-based learning media titled Let’s Learn KENALAN, focusing on the topic of natural and artificial appearances for third-grade students. The study employed a Research and Development (RD) approach using the ADDIE model, which comprises five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The participants were 20 third-grade students from Patemon 02 Elementary School, with 6 students involved in a small-scale trial and 14 in a large-scale trial. Data collection included expert validation, pre- and post-tests, and user questionnaires. Validation results showed high feasibility with scores of 98.3% from subject matter experts, 92.3% from media experts, 93.4% from teachers, and 92.7% from students, averaging 94.1%. The effectiveness test using the N-Gain formula revealed improved learning outcomes, with an N-Gain score of 0.734 (moderate category) in the small-scale trial and 0.7908 (high category) in the large-scale trial. The findings suggest that Let’s Learn KENALAN is both pedagogically sound and effective in improving students’ understanding of IPAS content. The media fosters greater engagement and supports active learning. It holds strong potential for broader application in elementary classrooms to enhance science and social studies instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a GALIH (Environmental Literacy Gallery) learning media based on Articulate Storyline that is feasible, practical, and effective in improving student learning outcomes in the subject of Science for grade V of SDN Sadeng 01. The study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Borg and Gall development model modified into eight stages, including identification of potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trial, product revision, and usage trial. Data collection was carried out through test and non-test techniques, namely pretest and posttest, observation, interviews, and validation questionnaires and response questionnaires. Data analysis includes analysis of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the media using percentage and N-gain calculations. The results showed that the GALIH media obtained a very high level of feasibility with a validation percentageof media experts of 90% and material experts of 93%. The practicality of the media is in the very practical category based on teacher responses (89%) and students (85%). The effectiveness of the media is shown through the N-gain value of 0.591 in small-scale trials and 0.604 in large-scale trials which are in the moderate category with an interpretation of being quite effective. Thus, the GALIH learning media based on Articulate Storyline is declared feasible, practical, and quite effective for use in science learning and contributes to improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study developed and evaluated the effectiveness of an interactive board game learning medium titled "Jelajah Nusantara" designed using the Canva platform. The medium was intended to enhance elementary students' learning achievements on the topic of appreciation for cultural and religious diversity within the Pancasila Education curriculum. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach adapted from a simplified Borg and Gall framework. The study involved 28 sixth-grade students from SDN Wates 01 Semarang as research subjects. Data collection techniques included field observations, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and learning assessments through pre-tests and post-tests. Data analysis focused on comparing pre-test and post-test scores to measure students' learning progress and achievement of mastery standards. Pre-test results showed a mean score of 61.07, with only 3 out of 28 students (10.71%) meeting the minimum mastery criteria. Following the implementation of the "Jelajah Nusantara" board game, the post-test mean score increased to 74.64, with 9 students (32.14%) achieving mastery. These data indicate a significant improvement in learning achievement, marked by a 42.86 percentage point increase in the mastery rate. The research findings confirm that the Canva-based interactive board game "Jelajah Nusantara" is effective as an instructional medium for Pancasila Education, particularly in strengthening elementary students' understanding of cultural and religious pluralism in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning styles and learning discipline on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students, both partially and simultaneously. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational approach. The research subjects consisted of 35 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires to measure learning styles and learning discipline, as well as documentation of mathematics learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of the SPSS program, including prerequisite analysis and multiple linear regression tests. The results showed that learning style had a positive and significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes. Study discipline had a positive and significant effect on mathematics learning outcomes. Simultaneously, learning style and learning discipline had a significant effect on learning outcomes with a contribution of 86.5%. The conclusion of this study shows that an appropriate learning style and high learning discipline play an important role in improving elementary school students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Low learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects, particularly in argumentative paragraph writing, remain a persistent challenge in elementary education, as many students struggle to construct logical arguments and express ideas critically, often due to teacher-centered instruction and limited discussion-based learning opportunities. This study examines the influence of discussion methods and students’ critical thinking abilities within a deep learning approach on Indonesian language learning outcomes. Using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, the study involved 24 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Tambakaji 04, Semarang City, selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected through Indonesian language learning outcome tests and critical thinking questionnaires and analyzed using paired-sample t-tests, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression in SPSS version 23. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes following the implementation of discussion-based deep learning, with the mean score increasing from 51.25 on the pretest to 86.88 on the posttest (t = −15.370, p < 0.05). Regression analysis further indicated that the discussion method had a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes (β = 0.737, p < 0.05), while students’ critical thinking ability also exerted a positive and significant effect (β = 0.807, p < 0.05). Collectively, these variables explained 85.6% of the variance in learning outcomes (R² = 0.856). The study concludes that integrating discussion methods and critical thinking development within a deep learning framework can effectively enhance Indonesian language learning outcomes, particularly in argumentative writing, and contributes empirical support for the design of more interactive and cognitively engaging learning environments in elementary Indonesian language instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh interaksi teman sebaya dan kebiasaan belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPAS pada siswa kelas VI SD N Sadeng 02. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto dan desain korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI SD N Sadeng 02 yang berjumlah 23 siswa, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel berupa sampling jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket untuk mengukur interaksi teman sebaya dan kebiasaan belajar, observasi selama proses pembelajaran, serta studi dokumentasi berupa nilai Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) mata pelajaran IPAS. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik inferensial melalui uji prasyarat analisis dan regresi linier sederhana serta regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi teman sebaya berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa, kebiasaan belajar juga berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPAS, serta interaksi teman sebaya dan kebiasaan belajar secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas VI SD N Sadeng 02. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kualitas interaksi sosial antarsiswa dan pembiasaan belajar yang terstruktur berperan penting dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS di sekolah dasar.
