Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) identifying the business model that is run by PT. Monfori Nusantara with the Canvas Business Model approach; (2) identifying any external and internal factors that affect the business model of the company PT. Monfori Nusantara through SWOT analysis so that alternative strategies are created; (3) Designing a Business Model Canvas repairs as a business development strategy for PT. Monfori Nusantara in the future. The method used was the Canvas Business Model and SWOT. The results of this study are the creation of new values through 9 elements of the Canvas Business Model and strategies such as: expanding the customer segment within the scope of the firm value proposition, increasing efficiency and production capacity, expanding supply propositions, increasing RnD and cost allocation. SWOT analysis on strengths for customer segment elements shows that value propositions and marketing channels have a strong quality relationship with customer segments and products; while the weakness of the customer segment is that the company has not optimized domestic marketing. For the opportunity, the company can utilize the market for plantation crops whereas for the threat, the potential customers can feel bored. PT Monfori Canvas Business Model Improvement produces several targets and developments in each element. The goal of improving each element in the canvas business model aims to expand the potential value propositions that can be offered by PT Monfori.Keywords: business model canvas, floriculture, SWOT, value innovation, tissue cultureAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengidentifikasi model bisnis yang dijalankan PT. Monfori Nusantara dengan pendekatan Model Bisnis Kanvas; (2) Mengidentifikasi apa saja faktor eksternal dan internal yang memengaruhi model bisnis perusahaan PT. Monfori Nusantara melalui analisis SWOT sehingga terciptanya alternatif strategi; (3) Merancang Model Bisnis Kanvas perbaikan sebagai strategi pengembangan bisnis PT. Monfori Nusantara di masa depan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Model Bisnis Kanvas dan SWOT. Hasil penelitian ini adalah penciptaan nilai baru melalui 9 elemen Model Bisnis Kanvas dan strategi seperti: memperluas segmen pelanggan dalam lingkup proposisi nilai perusahaan, meningkatkan efisiensi dan kapasitas produksi, memperluas penawaran poposisi, meningkatkan RnD dan alokasi biaya. Analisis SWOT kekuatan untuk elemen segmen pelanggan, proposisi nilai, saluran pemasaran memiliki kualitas hubungan yang kuat dengan segmen pelanggan maupun produk; sedangkan kelemahan segmen pelanggan: belum mengoptimalkan pemasaran domestik; peluang: memanfaatkan pasar tanaman perkebunan; ancaman: calon pelanggan dapat merasa jenuh. Perbaikan Model Bisnis Kanvas PT Monfori menghasilkan beberapa sasaran dan pengembangan pada tiap elemen. Sasaran pada perbaikan tiap elemen pada model bisnis kanvas bertujuan untuk memperluas potensi proposisi nilai yang dapat ditawarkan PT Monfori.Kata kunci: model bisnis kanvas, florikultura, SWOT, inovasi nilai, kultur jaringan

Abstract

Usahatani bawang merah, sebagaimana terjadi pada semua komoditi pertanian, selalu dihadapkan pada risiko. Risiko yang sering dihadapi oleh petani bawang merah adalah risiko produksi yang merupakan variasi output yang disebabkan oleh faktor eksternal seperti cuaca yang tidak menentu dan serangan hama dan penyakit (seperti penyakit layu). Produktivitas tanaman yang rendah dengan serangan hama dan penyakit yang semakin meningkat umumnya terjadi pada pertanaman bawang merah di luar musim atau off-season.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis risiko pertanian bawang merah dan pengaruh penggunaan input pertanian bawang merah terhadap risiko produksi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei. Lokasi ditentukan secara sengaja, dengan jumlah sampel 380 petani yang diperoleh secara ramdom sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis koefisien variasi (CV) dan analisis regresi linier berganda dengan metode heteroskedastik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa risiko produksi usahatani bawang merah pada musim kemarau lebih tinggi daripada usahatani bawang merah pada musim hujan. Risiko produksi pertanian bawang merah pada musim kering dipengaruhi oleh benih dan adhesive, dan pertanian bawang merah pada musim hujan dipengaruhi oleh Tenaga kerja wanita dalam keluarga, Pupuk Phonska dan NPK Mutiara

Abstract

. This study investigates the dynamic relationship between macroeconomic variables and housing financing provided by convensional and islamic banking in Indonesia. Utilizing quarterly data from 2007 to 2016, this study employs Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Forecast Error Variance Decomposition (FEVD). It  finds that macroeconomics variables and housing price  have distinct long relationship with housing financing provided by both. Our study reveal that policy intervention to stimulate or dampen housing financing provided by islamic and conventional bank can focus on GDP, house prices and monetary policy however it should be implemented to right segment. In addition, this study documents evidence that Islamic housing financing in Indonesia really dependent on interest rate. Therefore the findings suggest that Islamic Banking could apply alternative rate, possibly IHPR to manage to live up to their ideals in achieving the objectives of Shari’ah

Abstract

PT DKM is a company engaged in the field of Cable TV located in Payakumbuh. By the end of 2016 there are 3,037 subscribers. Based on internal data of PT DKM, network coverage and cable TV subscribers has reached 40% of Payakumbuh's residential area. Position of PT DKM as a market leader in Pay TV industry in Payakumbuh has not shown that PT DKM as a strong company that can win the competition in the long run. Strategic planning of local cable TV PT DKM needs to be analyzed in order to win the competition in Pay TV industry in Payakumbuh. The purpose of this study is (1) analyze the condition of competition PT DKM in pay TV industry in Payakumbuh, (2) to analyze internal and external factors of PT DKM, and (3) to formulate alternative strategies that can be implemented to improve the competitiveness of PT DKM. This research uses Porter's Five Forces analysis method, EFE (External Factor Evaluation), IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation), IE (Internal External) and SWOT (Strength Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) matrix, and ANP (Analytical Network Process) to determine the best alternative strategy for increasing competitiveness of PT DKM. Result of the ANP analysis show that condition of pay TV industry competition in Payakumbuh is at a condusive level. Internal factors that have the highest score of strength are highly competitive subscription prices and the main drawback is the limited number of favorite channels. While the dominant external factors in the form of opportunities is the number of cable TV content providers; and corporate threats of increasing competitors. Based on analysis the most recommended strategy to improve the competitiveness of PT DKM is a strategy to increase cooperation with the best content provider.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the determinant factors of the competitiveness of aloe vera agroindustry and formulate priority strategies to improve the competitiveness of aloe vera agroindustry in Pontianak Municipality. The study was conducted in Pontianak Municipality as a center of production of Aloe vera in Indonesia. Primary data were collected from processing aloe vera in the packaging and experts from academia and bureaucracy by conducting interviews and questionnaires, while secondary data sourced from CBS, Ministry of Industry, Department of Agriculture, and Aloe Vera Center. The research objectives were answered by using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with used Porter's Diamond approaches. Data was obtained from expert by filling out a questionnaire in the form of pairwise comparisons assessment, and it was processed by using Expert Choice software. The AHP analysis results showed that the factors determining the competitiveness of aloe vera the agroindustries with the highest weight are the demand condition factor (0.420) and the condition of resources (0.300). Priority strategies that can be done is to manufacture products in accordance with market demand for quality local, national and international (0.196), and creating innovation products for all segments of demand (0.190). Actors who play role directly in an attempt to increase the competitiveness of the aloe vera agroindustries in Pontianak Municipality is private sector such as entrepreneurs and aloe vera farmers (0.634). To achieved the competitiveness improvement of aloe vera agroindustry in Pontianak Municipality, can be repairs such as the quality and type of product, packaging design, and market segments, with the way local government is actively provide guidance and training to the processing of aloe vera and support the establishment of cooperative aloe vera in Pontianak

Abstract

Pemenuhan akan pangan merupakan komponen dasar untuk mewujudkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Namun, masih terdapat permasalahan dalam mewujudkannya, di antaranya masalah keamanan pangan dengan persentase kasus keracunan makanan masih tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis situasi pelaksanaan keamanan Pangan Jajanan Anak Sekolah (PJAS) yang ada saat ini dan memilih alternatif model keamanan pangan yang paling efektif dan efisien diterapkan di usaha mikro kecil (UMK) guna meningkatkan keamanan pangan yang dihasilkannya sehingga terjadi peningkatan kesehatan anak. Penelitian dilakukan pada kuartal II tahun 2015 sampai dengan awal kuartal III tahun 2015 melalui survei lapangan dan survei pakar dengan mengambil studi kasus di lingkungan sekolah dasar. Survei lapangan melibatkan 102 responden untuk memungkinkan dilakukannya analisis situasional dan juga survei pakar untuk memilih model keamanan pangan yang paling efektif dan efisien untuk diterapkan pada UMK PJAS dengan Analytical Hierarchy Process. Hasil survei lapangan menunjukkan 91% responden anak sekolah pernah mengalami gangguan kesehatan setelah mengonsumsi PJAS. Selain itu, 100% responden UMK PJAS tidak menggunakan masker dan sarung tangan sebelum mengolah makanan/minuman, 62% masih menggunakan air sumur sebagai sumber air untuk produksi PJAS dan 86% menggunakan Bahan Tambahan Pangan. Hasil survei pakar menunjukkan model Lima Kunci Pangan Aman terpilih sebagai model keamanan pangan yang paling efektif dan efisien diterapkan pada UMK PJAS. Food is the most important basic human need, in which it’s fulfillment becomes major component of human right to embody qualified human resources in Indonesia. However, there have been some problems to embody it, such as food safety problem with percentage of foodborne ilness case that remains high. This study aimed to analyze the situation of Street Food for School Children (SFSC) safety practice nowadays and select the most effective and efficient food safety model alternative implemented on Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) in order to improve food safety performance, so child health improvement may occur. This study was conducted in the second quarter until the early third quarter of 2015 through field survey and expert survey by taking case study in elementary school environment. Field survey involved 102 respondents was conducted to enable situational analysis and expert survey was conducted to select the most effective and efficient food safety model implemented in SFSC MSE with Analytical Hierarchy Process. Field survey results showed 91% school child respondents ever suffered from health disorders after consuming SFSC. Moreover, 100% SFSC MSE respondents did not wear masks nor gloves before producing food/beverage, 62% still used nearby well water as water source for SFSC production and 86% used Food Additives. Expert survey results showed Five Keys to Safer Food model selected as the most effective and efficient food safety model implemented in SFSC MSE.

Abstract

PT Cipta Paramula Sejati is one of the companies engaged in the space and office rental business in Jakarta. PT Cipta Paramula Sejati manages the rental of office buildings and rooms in the Jakarta Design Center Building. Jakarta Design Center is a mall that has three types of businesses related to building space rental. Every company will be faced with various problems, both problems that come from within the company (internal) and problems from outside the company (external). This study aims to analyze the strategic objectives and key performance indicator (KPI) in terms of four perspective Balanced Scorecard (BSC), an also performance measurement methods at PT Cipta Paramula Sejati based on BSC concept. The analytical method used is the BSC. The study used a descriptive approach through in-depth interviews with respondents who were chosen intentionally (purposive sampling). The results of the study obtained twelve strategic targets and fourteen KPI. Based on the results of the BSC compilation of PT Cipta Paramula Sejati, the weighting for each BSC perspective was as follows: financial perspective of 27.78 percent, customer perspective of 27.78 percent, internal business process perspective of 25 percent, and learning and growth perspective of 19.44 percent.

Abstract

Apple’s consumer will have to make some consideration in purchasing apples because of the appearance of Imported apples in the domestic market. The escalation of apple’s demand and the new policy regarding importing provision and horticultural products development, make it important to study the consumer behavior towards apples. This study was conducted in Surabaya and Malang, and it was chosen purposively. The study involved 200 respondent from two selected city. The data collected were analyzed with descriptive analysis, Fishbein models, and conjoint analysis. The result showed that consumer had positive attitude towards the flesh texture of the local apples. On the other hand, the result showed that consumer had positive attitude towards the prices, taste, size, color, skin condition, and promotion of the import apples. Consumer had preferences for apples with sour taste, medium size, yellowish green color, crispy texture, clean skin, and with price range from Rp26.001,0-Rp34.000,0/kg. The price was the attribute that most preferred by a consumer when making a purchase decision for fruit.
