Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess how well third-grade children at SDN Lenteng Timur I learn mathematics when using the Game Based Learning (GBL) model, which is backed by the Jarimatika technique and Wordwall digital learning resources. Low multiplication performance among students is the main problem in the classroom, and it is ascribed to the persistence of traditional teaching methods and the lack of interactive technologies. This study employs a Nonequivalent Control Group approach model in a quasi-experimental approach. Pre-tests, posttests, observations, and documentation are the tools used to collect data. The GBL model is integrated with Wordwall to provide interactive and engaging learning experiences, while Jarimatika offers a concrete and enjoyable approach to mathematical operations. The findings reveal that the application of GBL in conjunction with Wordwall and Jarimatika significantly enhances students"Ÿ conceptual understanding and learning motivation. Students exhibited increased enthusiasm and active participation during the learning process, which positively influenced their academic achievement. These findings suggest that the integrated learning model is a creative and promising approach to raising primary school students' learning outcomes in mathematics.

Abstract

Electrospinning is the most popular method that uses in nanofiber production. However, the budget to purchase this tool in the market is expensive. This article aims to report on how to build electrospinning on a lesser budget. There are three main components in electrospinning that will be broken down regarding how to build it. First, the syringe pump creates machinery to push the liquid in the syringe creating a Taylor cone affected by high voltage. Second, a high voltage power supply occurs electrostatic force. Third, the collector gathers nanofiber products. This machine has cost Rp 3.168.822 or $220,26. This number is less than the shop production or the previous report to create low-cost electrospinning. To make sure that this method successfully creates nanofiber. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) is conducted and the result shows that the fiber size is 719±0,06 nanometers. Moreover, the flow rate and the voltage also have been assessed resulting that they are in a controllable manner by showing a linear profile. In this article, the budget is shared to declare that this electrospinning is more affordable. Hopefully, this report could help researchers who intend to build electrospinning at the lab scale to develop their research in nanofiber products with less cost.

Abstract

Establishing visitor management system is necessary to manage the total number of visitors especially in pandemic when the protocol of social distancing is applied. The purpose of this research is to design a visitor management system integrated with an automatic Internet of Things (IoT)-based hand sanitizer using Arduino. This research contributes to answering the two challenges which are managing the total number of visitors and providing protection against bacteria or viruses. The improvement of this system compared to the existing similar approach is the automatic hand sanitizers could be installed at two entrances and exits which can simultaneously limit the number of visitors who will be monitored through the IoT platform. This system is designed with Arduino Uno R3 components as a microcontroller, ultrasonic sensors which will be installed at two entrances and exits, and automatic hand sanitizer using a water pump. For remote monitoring use the IoT platform with the ESP8266 ESP-01 Wi-Fi module as a link. From the results of testing this system, the results of testing the correct hand distance when using a hand sanitizer are from 3 cm to 9 cm and the right amount of hand sanitizer liquid volume is approximately 1 ml for a duration of 250 milliseconds. The system design has been successful for visitor management and the hand sanitizer works well. The Thingspeak webserver can receive visitor data and send it to the MIT app as a display for remote monitoring. Hopefully, this system could support the situation which needs to manage the restriction of total number visitors and hygiene practice in a more efficient way.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the efforts and strategies carried out by SLB to meet national education standards in order to improve school accreditation. This research used a quantitative approach with a total of 234 respondents from 34 special schools in the Padang City and DI Yogyakarta areas who were selected using purposive sampling. The data source for this research is primary data with data collection techniques through filling out questionnaires and FGDs. The research data that has been collected is carried out through SPSS analysis. The research was conducted from February to October 2023. The results of the research show that management standards, financing standards, facilities and infrastructure standards as well as standards for educators and education personnel provide a positive and significant influence on strategies for increasing SLB accreditation, while content standards, process standards, standards graduate competencies and assessment standards do not have a positive and significant influence on strategies for increasing SLB accreditation. However, it is known that each educational standard is related to other educational standards, so it is necessary to carry out various standard optimizations so that each educational standard can be implemented optimally to obtain optimal accreditation results.

Abstract

This research explored the influence of multidimensional intelligence, including emotional, social, spiritual, and academic intelligence, on the performance of elementary school teachers in Indonesia. Five hundred teachers from various regions were selected as samples using stratified random sampling techniques. The survey method was used to collect data, and multiple linear regression analysis was applied to determine the influence of each intelligence dimension on teacher performance. The results indicated that all dimensions of intelligence positively impacted teacher performance, with academic intelligence having the most dominant effect (coefficient 0.295), followed by social intelligence (0.182), emotional intelligence (0.170), and spiritual intelligence (0.086). These findings indicate the importance of a holistic approach to improving teacher performance, focusing on strengthening academic and social intelligence. The research also recommends that teacher development policies pay more attention to multidimensional intelligence in training programs. Future research should expand the scope by considering factors such as work environment and intrinsic motivation that may affect teacher performance.
