Abstract

This research aims to know the effect of giving the garlic extract (Allium sativum) through drinking water toward the production of chicken egg Lohmann Brown aged 22-30 weeks. This research was conducted in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan-Bali District for 3 months, using 36 Lohmann Brown chicks aged 22 weeks. The design of this research was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications. The three treatments were chickens given drinking water without the use of garlic extract (B0), chickens were given drinking water with the addition of 3% garlic extract (B1), and chickens were given drinking water with the addition of garlic extract 6% (B2). The feed is given 2 times a day and drinking water is given in ad libitum. The variables observed in this research were ration consumption, drinking water consumption, total egg weight, egg weight, egg and FCR (Feed Convertion Ratio). The results showed that giving garlic water extract of garlic into drinking water at level 3% and 6% significantly able (P<0,05) to increased feed ration consumption, drinking water consumption, total egg weight, egg weight and egg count and reduced FCR significantly (P>0.05) on Lohmann Brown chicken the age of 22-30 weeks. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that giving garlic extract (Allium sativum) at 3% and 6% level through drinking water can increase consumption of ration, drinking water consumption, total egg weight, egg number, egg weight, but lower FCR of chicken Lohmann Brown aged 22-30 weeks. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh dari pemberian kultur bakteri selulolitik rumen kerbau pada ransum yang mengandung 10% ampas tahu terhadap penampilan itik bali jantan umur 0-8 minggu. Itik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah itik bali jantan umur 1 hari sebanyak 54 ekor dengan rata-rata bobot badan yang sama. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan, yaitu ransum tanpa ampas tahu sebagai kotrol (A), ransum dengan 10% ampas tahu (B), ransum dengan 10% ampas tahu +0,20% kultur bakteri selulolitik rumen kerbau (C).  Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari enam ulangan dan masing-masing ulangan menggunakan tiga ekor itik bali jantan dengan berat homogen sehingga terdapat 18 unit percobaan dan jumlah keseluruhan itik yang digunakan sebanyak 54 ekor. Variabel yang diamati yaitu bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan, konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum dan Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ransum dengan 10% ampas tahu dan ransum dengan 10% ampas tahu +0,20% kultur bakteri selulolitik rumen kerbau dapat meningkatkan bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan dan efisiensi penggunaan ransum itik bali umur 0-8 minggu. Ransum dengan 10% ampas tahu dan ransum dengan 10% ampas tahu +0,20% kultur bakteri selulolitik rumen kerbau tidak berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi ransum dan air minum itik bali umur 0-8 minggu. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian 10% ampas tahu tanpa atau dengan 0,20% kultur bakteri selulolitik rumen kerbau dapat meningkatkan bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan dan efisiensi penggunaan ransum itik bali jantan umur 0-8 minggu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving kelor (Moringa oleifera) leaf water extract (Moringa oleifera) through drinking water on the physical quality of Lohmann Brown chicken eggs at 22-30 weeks old. This research was conducted at farmer's chicken houses in DajanPeken Village, Tabanan District, Bali for 3 months. The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with three treatments and six replications. Each replication (experimental unit) used two laying hens at 22-30 weeks old with a homogeneous weight. Treatment consisted of drinking water without addition of Moringa leaf water extract as control (Treatment A), drinking water with addition of 3% Moringa leaf water extract (Treatment B), drinking water with addition of 6% Moringa leaf water extract (Treatment C). The variables observed in this study were egg weight, percentage of egg white weight, weight percentage of egg yolk, percentage of skin weight, and skin thickness. The results showed that egg weight, egg yolk percentage, and weight percentage of egg shell, with addition of Moringo leifera water extract of 3% and 6% through drinking water which gave significant effect (P <0.05) increased and shell thickness which gave no significant effect (P> 0.05) also increased. In contrast, the percentage of egg white weight decreased compared to the chicken which was not given the addition of Moringa leaf water extract (Treatment A) as the control group. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the addition of Moringa oleifera water extract as much as 3% and 6% through drinking water can increase egg weight, egg yolk percentage, eggshell percentage and eggshell thickness on the contrary there is a decrease of percentage weight of egg whitesof Lohmann Brown chicken at 22-30 weeks old. Abstract

Probiotik merupakan bahan makanan yang tidak tercerna dan memberikan keuntungan pada inang melalui simulasi yang selektif terhadap pertumbuhan aktivitas dari satu atau sejumlah bakteri yang terdapat di dalam saluran pencernaan.  Penggunaan probiotik dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan aktifitas enzim dan penyerapan zat makanan.  Berdasarkan hal tersebut penelitian ini dilakukan yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh suplementasi Saccharomyces sp kompleks yang di isolasi dari feses sapi bali dalam ransum terhadap bobot potong dan karkas ayam.  Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan enam ulangan.  Setiap ulangan menggunakan 5 ekor ayam broiler umur satu hari (DOC) dengan berat homogen.  Keempat perlakuan yaitu, ayam broiler yang diberi ransum tanpa suplementasi probiotik kultur Saccharomyces sp kompleks sebagai kontrol (A), dengan suplementasi 0,20% Saccharomyces sp kompleks (B), dengan suplementasi Saccharomyces sp kompleks 0,40% (C) dan suplementasi 0,60% Saccharomyces sp kompleks (D).  Semua ransum dalam bentuk tepung dan di berikan secara ad libitum.  Variabel yang diamati adalah bobot potong, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa suplementasi kultur Saccharomyces sp kompleks pada level 0,20%, 0,40% dan 0,60% dalam ransum nyata (P<0,05) dapat meningkatkan bobot potong, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas ayam dibandingkan kontrol.  Bedasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi probiotik Saccharomyces sp kompleks dalam ransum pada level 0,20%, 0,40% dan 0,60% dapat meningkatkan bobot potong dan karkas ayam broiler umur 5 minggu

Abstract

This research has purpose to find out the influence of tofu dregs using that is fermented by Saccharomyces sp. as probiotic source in rations and broiler chicken’s cholesterol level. Research result shows that supplementation of probiotic Saccharomyces sp. in rations significantly can lower broiler chicken’s fattening, it is because the presence of leavened Saccharomyces sp. in rations as inokulan fermentation that can be functioned as probiotic. Design used in this research is the complete random design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 times of repetition; the three treatments are: the chicken supplied with rations without tofu dregs that is fermented by leavened Saccharomyces sp. control (A) chicken supplied with additional rations of 5% tofu dregs fermented by leavened Saccharomyces sp. (B) and chicken supplied with rations of 10% tofu dregs fermented by leavened Saccharomyces sp. (C). Variables that are observed are the mensentrium fat, pad-fat, ventrikulus fat, abdominal fat, blood cholesterol. Research result shows that the using of tofu dregs fermented by leavened Saccharomyces sp. culture in rations at level 5%-10% can lower abdominal fat and broiler chicken’s blood cholesterol level.

Abstract

The research aim to determine the provision of katuk leaves extract water (Sauropus androgynus) and moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera Lam) through the drinking water for fat distribution  and totally cholesterol of broiler blood. The research design with completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications. Each replicates using three broiler aged two weeks with a homogeneous body weight. These three treatments are broiler given drinking water without the water extract of moringa leaves and katuk leaf as control (A), broiler given a water extract of katuk leaves 5% through drinking water (B) and broiler given a water extract of leaves of moringa 5% through the water drink (C). Rations and water were given ad libitum. The variables measured in the research are pads fat, mesentrium fat, ventriculus fat and blood totally cholesterol . The results showed that the percentage of pads fat of broiler drunk extracts of katuk leaves 5% water through drinking water (B) and broiler drunk water extract of moringa leaves 5% through drinking water (C), respectively 29,92% and 22,83% lower and significantly different (P<0.05) compared with treatment A. Mesentrium fat broilers treated B and broilers treated C, respectively were 8,00% and 12,00% lower but they were not significantly different (P>0.05) compared to the treatment A. Ventriculus fat of broiler are treated B and broilers treated C, respectively 23,08% and 17,31% lower significantly (P<0,05) compared with treatment A. While for blood totally cholesterol of broiler given treated B and treated C, respectively 9,34% and 8,62% were significant different (P<0.05) lower compared with treatment A. Based on the results of this research concluded that the giving of katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynus) and of Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera Lam) water extract by 5% through drinking water can lower the percentage of pads fat, ventriculus fat and blood totally cholesterol of broiler.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan level terbaik suplementasi kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp.komplekssebagai sumber probiotik dalam ransum terhadap penampilan ayam broiler umur 1-5 minggu. Ayam yang digunakan adalah ayam broiler umur satu hari sebanyak 120 ekor dengan bobot badan homogen tanpa membedakan jenis kelamin. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan enam kali ulangan. Keempat perlakuan tersebut adalah ayam yang diberi ransum tanpa suplementasi kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp.komplekssebagai kontrol (P0), dengan suplementasi 0,20% kultur khamirSaccharomyces sp.kompleks(P1), suplementasi 0,40% kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp.kompleks (P2), dan suplementasi 0,60% kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp. kompleks (P3) .  Tiap petak/unit percobaan diisi dengan lima ekor ayam broiler umur satu hari dengan bobot badan homogen. Variabel yang diamati yaitu konsumsi ransum, bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan, dan Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp.komplekspada level 0,20%, 0,40% dan 0,60% dalam ransum secara nyata (P<0,05) dapat meningkatkan konsumsi ransum, bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan, dan efisiensi penggunaan ransum dibandingkan kontrol. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi 0,20%, 0,40% dan 0,60% kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp.komplekssebagai sumber probiotik dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan penampilan broiler umur 1-5 minggu.

Abstract

This research has purpose to study the influence of giving cellulotic bacteria culture through drinking water as probiotic source to carcass physical composition of Balinese duck aged 8 weeks. Ducks that are used in this research were 54 Balinese ducks aged 1 day. Design used in this research is the Complete Random Design (CRD) with three treatments and six times of repetition. The three treatments are the ducks given drinking water without supplementation of cellulotic bacteria culture as control (A); drinking water with 0,20% cellulotic bacteria culture (B); and drinking water with 0,40% cellulotic bacteria culture (C). Variables that are observed are the percentage of carcass meat, percentage of carcass bone, percentage of carcass fat, and protein consumption. Research result shows that the giving of cellulotic bacteria culture as probiotic source at level of 0,20%-0,40% through drinking water shows the percentage of carcass meat at treatment (B) and (C) is significant (P0,05) which is higher than control (A), the percentage of subcutan fat including skin at treatment (B) and (C) shows significant result (P0,05) lower than control (A). From this research it can be concluded that the influence of giving cellulotic bacteria culture of buffalo rumen isolate as probiotic source through drinking water given at level of 0,20%-0,40% can increase the percentage of carcass meat and reducing the percentage of carcass fat of Balinese ducks aged 8 weeks.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the influence of giving katuk leaf (Sauropus androgynous L. Merr) water extract towards colour, protein levels, fat levels, and the cholesterol of Lohmann Brown chicken egg yolks in the age of 22-30 weeks. This research has been implemented at the poultry farm in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan sub-district, Tabanan regency through three months. The design of experiment that applied in this research is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications. Those 36 laying chicken of Lohmann Brown with homogeneous weight were raised in 18 squares of colony battery cages. The treatment consisted of drinking water without additional of katuk leaf water extract (K0) as the control, drinking water with addition of 3% katuk leaf water extract (K1), and drinking water with addition of 6% katuk leaf water extract (K2). The colour, protein levels, fat levels, and the cholesterol of egg yolks were the variables that observed in this research. The result showed that the colour of egg yolks and protein levels towards the (K1) and (K2) treatment gave significant effect (P<0,05) higher than K0. However, the fat levels and the cholesterol of egg yolks towards the (K1) and (K2) treatment gave significant effect (P<0,05) lower than the chicken which was not given the addition of katuk leaf (Sauropus androgynous L. Merr) water extract (K0) as the control. From the result, it can be concluded that the giving katuk leaf (Sauropus androgynous L. Merr) water extract with addition of 3% and 6% level through drinking water could increase the colour and the protein levels of chicken egg yolks and also the reduction of fat levels and cholesterol of chicken egg yolks of Lohmann Brown in the age of 22-30 weeks were occurred. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan probiotik Saccharomyces spp. (ragi tape) dalam ransum terhadap karkas babi Landrace persilangan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Banjar Kamasan, Desa Dajan Peken, Kecamatan Tabanan, Kabupaten Tabanan selama kurang lebih tiga bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan yaitu P0: Babi Landrace persilangan yang diberikan ransum tanpa probiotik Saccharomyces spp. (ragi tape) sebagai kontrol, P1; Babi Landrace persilangan yang diberikan ransum dengan probiotik Saccharomyces spp. (ragi tape) sebesar 0,1%, P2 : Babi Landrace persilangan yang diberikan ransum dengan probiotik Saccharomyces spp. (ragitape) sebesar 0,2%; dan P3: Babi Landrace persilangan yang diberikan ransum dengan probiotik Saccharomyces spp. (ragi tape) sebesar 0,3%. Masing-masing perlakuan memiliki 4 ulangan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi bobot potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas dan konsumsi protein. Data dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian probiotik Saccharomyces spp. (ragi tape) 0,3% (P3) merupakan perlakuan dengan bobot potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas dan konsumsi protein tertinggi dibanding perlakuan lainnya yaitu masing-masing sebesar 74,35 kg/ek, 52,73 kg/ek, 71,06% dan 21.525,61 g/ek serta secara statistik berbeda nyata (P<0,05). Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian probiotik Saccharomyces spp. (ragi tape) yang diberikan pada babi Landrace persilangan dapat menigkatkan bobot potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas dan konsumsi protein. Pemberian probiotik Saccharomyces spp. (ragi tape) sebesar 0,3% merupakan hasil perlakuan terbaik. Kata kunci: Saccharomyces spp. (ragi tape), probiotik, karkas, babi Landrace persilangan
