Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has an impact on the learning process in all educational units, including higher educational units. This situation requires educators to be more creative and innovative in using learning media to transform knowledge and skills to their students. This study aims to describe the validity of interactive learning media based on articulate storyline 3 in the theory and practice of football coaching. This research included development research by adopting the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire that referred to the LORI (Learning Object Review Instrument) standard. The LORI standard consists of nine aspects of assessment, namely content quality, direction of learning objectives, feedback and adaptation, motivation, display design, interaction use, accessibility, development capabilities, and standard fulfillment. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that the level of feasibility/validity of the learning media named D-MENBOLA or digitalization of football learning media based on articulate storyline 3 iss declared very feasible/very valid. Based on these result, D-MENBOLA can then be used in the theory and practice of football coaching as one of the innovative learning media.

Abstract

An indicator of a success football team in a match is to score more goals than its opponents. Continuous and stable victories can be achieved by applying sports science and technology, one of them in this case is analyzing team performance. The purpose of this study is to describe the pattern of shots taken and goals scored during League 3 of Indonesia Bali Zone in 2021. The research method chosen for this study is descriptive quantitative research. A total of 38 matches are observed to see the number of shots and goals scoring patterns based on time intervals (15 minutes), type of play, number of passes before shot and goal scoring, player action before shooting and goal scoring, playing zone and player position in play. The result of this study indicates that 52.9% of shots occurred in the first half and 51.8% of goals are scored in the second half. Shots (78%) and goals (77%) occurred through the open play process. 61.2% of shots and 64.7% of goal scoring come from the lowest number of passes (0-4 passes). In the central ultra-offensive zone, there are 43.7% shots and 71.2% goal scoring. Based on the playing position, the midfielder recorded the number of shots 34.5% and the striker got 39.6% in scoring goals. The findings of this study can provide information for coaches in seeing the scoring pattern of all teams playing in the Indonesia League 3 Bali Zone. Therefore, it has implications for the way the coach prepares a tactical training program that focuses on how to goal scoring. The limitation of this study is that it has not identified the part of the goal area that produces score. It is important further to examine the part of the goal area where the ball is often conceded or scored by the opponent.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology has an impact on the development of sports, both achievement sports, educational sports, and recreational sports. The use of technology and sport science is very important for the advancement of sports achievements. One of these implementations is the stage of testing and measuring physical conditions using instruments with a low level of human error. The purpose of this study was to analyze the need for the development of a digital technology-based push up test as an instrument for arm muscle strength. This research is a survey research that uses a quantitative descriptive approach. 256 respondents with a background as a lecturer at the Faculty of Sports and Health Undiksha, as well as athletes from Buleleng Regency, Badung Regency, Bangli Regency and Denpasar City filled out a questionnaire consisting of six statements. Questionnaires are used to determine the opinion of respondents on the needs of the developed instrument. Based on the results of the survey, the majority of respondents experienced difficulties in doing push up according to the procedure, and they stated that the manual push up test was prone to human error during calculations. Thus, all respondents agree with the development of digital technology-based arm muscle strength instruments. Referring to the results of the research above, this data can be one of the basic considerations in the development of a digital technology-based push up test which is intended in the process of measuring arm muscle strength with a good level of validity.

Abstract

The demands of modern football are to play at a high tempo for two 45-minute games or more. Aerobic endurance, power, maximum speed, and acceleration are not enough for today players. The purpose of this study was to reveal the impact of 3-a-side and 5-a-side small-sided games (SSGs) on increasing anaerobic endurance. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest group design involving 40 young football players who were randomly assigned to practice 3-a-side and 5-a-side for 4 weeks. Before and after carrying out the 4-week training, a Repeat Sprint Ability Test (RSAT) was performed to measure anaerobic endurance. The paired sample t-test was used to determine whether there was an effect of the exercise, and the independent sample t-test was used to see whether there was a difference in the results between the two groups at the 1% significance level. Before carrying out the parametric test, the data were first tested for normality using Kolmogorov-Smirnova and for homogeneity using Levene's. It was revealed that 3-a-side and 5-a-side SSGs were both capable of increasing anaerobic endurance, but there was no significant difference between the two groups. It can be concluded that anaerobic endurance can be increased within four weeks by using these two methods. The recommendations from this study are to conduct a randomized controlled trial with a larger and more diverse sample to validate and extend these findings. Further studies also need to explore the effects of SSGs exercise on anaerobic endurance over a longer exercise period and in different age groups to gain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

Accurate physical condition measurement results are obviously determined by the quality of the instrument, namely a valid and reliable instrument. Developing a push-up measurement tool combined with technology is an urgent need. Moreover, this study aims to determine the validity and reliability of the Push-Up Counter (PUC) as a sensor-based measurement of arm muscle strength. This research is development research that focuses on uncovering the validity and reliability values of PUC using a quantitative approach. The validity value was obtained from the assessment of three experts by conducting questionnaire which has four main aspects, namely: instructions, components, safety, and usage. 30 athletes/students were involved as the subject participants in measuring the PUC reliability. Furthermore, the data collection were analyzed by using SPSS to determine the value of r. This study found that the PUC was valid (r = 0.88). The Cronbach Alpha value of this reliability instrument was r = 0.41. Referring to the validity and reliability result, it can be concluded the PUC was feasible and elligible to be used in measuring the arm muscle strength in the process of physical test. However, PUC operation is not yet integrated with smartphones. These results also provide opportunities for further research in developing application-based PUC devices or Android.

Abstract

Background Problems: There are not many studies concerning a method combining resistance training (RT) and small-sided games (SSG) shortly on young soccer players. Research Objectives: This study reveals the acute impact of the combination of resistance training with small-sided games on the physical capacity of young soccer players. Methods: Quasi Experiment with a pretest-posttest group design, involving sixty students of Undiksha Soccer Student Activity Unit using a simple random sampling technique. Thirty samples each entered the combined group (SSG+RT), the small-sided games only (SSG) group, and all were involved in training four times a week (four weeks). Two sessions of aerobic endurance, agility, and leg muscle power (LMP) data collection were conducted in the field. Data were analysed using one-way MANOVA assisted by SPSS 16.0 with a significance level of 5%. Findings and Results: One-way MANOVA test showed F value = 61.390 and sig. value 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means there was a significant effect on aerobic endurance, agility, and LMP in both groups. There was no difference in aerobic endurance results in the SSG+RT and SSG groups with a sig. value of 0.092 (p > 0.05), but there was a difference in the two groups in agility with a sig. value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and LMP with a sig. value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Conclusion: To improve aerobic endurance, agility, and LMP simultaneously, a combined training method can be implemented, namely integrating resistance training into small-sided games. The current findings can help to improve the performance of young soccer players in a short time. However, it is necessary to study more deeply other variables that have the potential to affect the results of the current findings, such as longer training times.
