The purpose of writing this article is to publish an achievement of community service activities in Karangasem. Generally, the enthusiasm of the STPBI Lecturers is seen in tourism, hospitality, and education events. However, it turns out that there is an interest from STPBI lecturers in the Bali Resik Plastic Waste Planning Universe Movement in Karangasem. The problems are: 1) What is the structure of the Bali Planned Universe Movement for Recycling Plastic Waste in Karangasem? 2) What are the STPBI Lecturers' animo on the Bali Planned Universe Movement to Clean Up Plastic Waste in Karangasem?. The article was completed using a qualitative method. Secondary data was obtained based on a literature study, while primary data was obtained through interviews and participation observations. All data have been analyzed qualitatively. The results show that: 1) The Bali Resik Plastic Waste Planned Universe Movement in Tribuana village, was held in the form of community service activities to clean plastic waste using broom sticks and campil or non-organic garbage bags; and 2) The enthusiasm for duplicating waste disposal methods and following the Bali Resik Plastic Waste Planned Universe Movement from preparation, implementation to completion shows the enthusiasm of the STPBI lecturers.

Rwa Bhineda are two distinct characteristics that exist in this life. The goal of this article is to reveal the principle of rwa bhineda in I Dewa Nyoman Batuan's mandala paintings. The mandala paintings by I Nyoman Batuan are very distinctive and have inspired many other artists' paintings. However, there has been no study that discusses the principle of rwa bhineda, which makes mandala paintings by I Dewa Nyoman Batuan look distinctive. This article discusses the principle of rwa bhineda in a painting by I Dewa Nyoman Batuan and the meaning of rwa bhineda in a mandala painting by I Dewa Nyoman Batuan. This study uses a qualitative method. The data sources for this study were mandala paintings by I Dewa Nyoman Batuan himself, mandala painters, cultural observers, and people observing mandala paintings selected based on purposive sampling and snowball techniques. All data obtained through observation, interviews, and literature studies were analyzed qualitatively and interpretatively using aesthetic theory and deconstruction theory. The results of the research show that the principle of rwa bhineda in the mandala painting by I Dewa Nyoman Batuan is made in the form of a circle, which is beautified by the duality motif. The principle of rwa bhineda in mandala paintings by I Dewa Nyoman Batuan has an aesthetic meaning, a cultural meaning, and a counter-destruction meaning.

IMPLICATIONS OF COMMODIFIED PARWA SHADOW PUPPET PERFORMANCE FOR TOURISM IN UBUD, BALI Gede Yoga Kharisma Pradana

The purpose of this article is to examine the phenomenon of Balinese shadow puppet performances as a tourism entertainment spectacle in Ubud, Bali. Basically, the Parwa shadow puppet shows as Balinese shadow puppets are stag for the purposes of traditional ceremonies with long duration. In contrast to the type of Parwa shadow puppet show in Ubud is stag for tourism, only it's stag with a shorter duration. This phenomenon certainly raises a big question about the implications of stag such performances for tourism.This article is prepared to use qualitative research methods. All data were obtained through literature study, interview and observation. After all data is obtained, it is analyzed by using the perspective of cultural studies.The results show that the commodification of Parwa shadow puppet shows for tourism has economic, social and cultural implications. Economically, the commodification of the Parwa shadow puppet show for tourism has already had implications for a change in instrumental value, adding profit to cottage owners and retailers. Socially, the commodity has implications in the popularity as well as the identity of shadows puppet group. Culturally has implications for the preservation of cultural identity in the context of tourism, mediation of cultural promotion to tourists, cultural degradation of puppets and the difficulty of enculturation.

Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengungkap peran civitas akademika IPBI pada kegiatan beach clean up di Kuta. Beach clean up merupakan suatu program kegiatan IHGMA untuk menjaga dampak positif dari perkembangan pariwisata Bali. Namun, ternyata realisasi kegiatan beach clean up melibatkan peran civitas akademika IPBI. Permasalahannya : 1) Bagaimana bentuk kegiatan beach clean up di Kuta 2) Apa makna sosial dari kegiatan beach clean up di Kuta 3) Bagaimana peran civitas akademika IPBI dalam kegiatan beach clean up di kuta. Penyusunan luaran hasil kegiatan ini diselesaikan dengan metode kualitatif. Data primer kegiatan ini berhasil dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipasi. Hasil studi pustaka telah dipergunakan sebagai data sekunder. Keseluruhan data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teori praktik dan teori strukturasi. Hasil menunjukan bahwa : 1) Kegiatan beach clean up di Kuta telah direalisasikan dalam bentuk kegiatan gotong-royong membersihkan sampah pada area pantai; 2) Makna sosial dalam kegiatan beach clean up di Kuta adalah pengabdian kepada masyarakat, kebersamaan, kerjasama, tenggang rasa untuk membangun konsensus sampah sebagai ancaman kerusakan lingkungan alam dan disensus kerusakan lingkungan alam di sektor pariwisata; 3) Peran civitas akademika IPBI dalam menjalin makna sosial pada kegiatan beach clean up di Kuta adalah sebagai peserta.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi dan beban kerja secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap tingkat kepuasan kerja karyawan food & beverage department di Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud. Responden yang digunakan adalah seluruh karyawan food & beverage department di Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud dengan total 30 responden. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini didapatkan melalui kuisioner, selanjutnya data primer diuji menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas dilanjutkan dengan uji asumsi klasik dan hipotesis dibuktikan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Motivasi dan beban kerja berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap tingkat kepuasan kerja karyawan food & beverage department di Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud, ditunjukkan dengan nilai F hitung sebesar 56,474 lebih besar dari F tabel sebesar 2,960 (df1 = 2, df2 = 27). Secara parsial motivasi kerja berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap tingkat kepuasan kerja karyawan food & beverage department di Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikansi variabel motivasi sebesar sebesar 0.000 < 0.05. beban kerja berpengaruh secara parsial terhadap tingkat kepuasan kerja karyawan food & beverage department di Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud, hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi variabel beban kerja sebesar 0.014 < 0.05. Koefisien determinasi menunjukkan nilai R Square sebesar 0,592. hal ini menunjukkan bahwa 59,2% tingkat kepuasan kerja karyawan food & beverage department di Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud dipengaruhi oleh motivasi dan beban kerja, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 40,8% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian ini. This study aims to determine the effect of motivation and workload partially or simultaneously on the level of job satisfaction of employees of the food & beverage department at Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud. The method used in this study is a quantitative research method. The respondents used were all employees of the food & beverage department at Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud with a total of 30 respondents. The data used in this study were obtained through questionnaires, then the primary data was tested using validity and reliability tests followed by classical assumption tests and hypotheses were proven using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that motivation and workload had a simultaneous effect on the level of job satisfaction of employees of the food & beverage department at Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud, indicated by the calculated F value of 56,474 which was greater than the F table of 2,960 (df1 = 2, df2 = 27). Partially, work motivation has a partial effect on the level of job satisfaction of employees of the food & beverage department at Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud, this is indicated by the significance value of the motivation variable of 0.000 < 0.05. workload has a partial effect on the level of job satisfaction of employees of the food & beverage department at Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud, this is evidenced by the significance value of the workload variable of 0.014 < 0.05. The coefficient of determination shows the R Square value of 0.592. this shows that 59.2% level of job satisfaction of food & beverage department employees at Aperitif Restaurant & BAR Ubud is influenced by motivation and workload, while the remaining 40.8% is influenced by other variables outside this study.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja terhadap kinierja karyawan sales & marketing department di hotel W Bali - Seminyak, sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 20 responden. Analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis Regresi Linier Berganda dengan menggunakan bantuan SPSS. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kuantitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu data primer dan data sekunder, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara kuesioner dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Uji T, Uji F dan Koefisien Determinasi (R2). Berdasarkan analisis data dalam penelitian ini bahwa lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t yang diperoleh yaitu t-hitung sebesar 3,759 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,002 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sedangkan penelitian stres kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t yang diperoleh yaitu t-hitung sebesar 2,227 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,040 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil keseluruhan uji menunjukan bahwa lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan sales & marketing di hotel W Bali – Seminyak. Dengan diperolehnya nilai R-square sebesar 0,923 sehingga dengan kata lain pengaruh lingkungan kerja dan stres kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan sales & marketing di hotel W Bali – Seminyak sebesar 92,3% sedangkan 7,7% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. This study aims to analy e the effect of the work environment and work stress on the performance of sales & marketing department employees at the W Bali - Seminyak hotel, the sample used was 20 respondents. The analysis in this study uses Multiple Linear Regression analysis using SPSS. The type of data used is quantitative data. Sources of data used are primary data and secondary data, while data collection techniques are done using questionnaires and literature studies. The data analysis technique used is the T-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R2). Based on the data analysis in this study, the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This is evidenced by the results of the t-test obtained, namely the t-count of 3.759 with a significance value of 0.002 which is smaller than 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. While research work stress has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. This is evidenced by the t-test results obtained, namely the t-count of 2.227 with a significance value of 0.040 which is smaller than 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The overall test results show that the work environment and work stress have a positive and significant effect on the performance of sales & marketing employees at the W Bali - Seminyak hotel. By obtaining an R-square value of 0.923, in other words, the influence of the work environment and work stress on the performance of sales & marketing employees at the W Bali - Seminyak hotel is 92.3% while 7.7% is influenced by other variables not discussed in this study.

Fokus penulisan artikel ini yakni mengkonstruksi praxis Beach Clean Up di Pantai Mertasari. Beach Clean Up merupakan sebuah kegiatan sosial dari civitas akademika IPB Internasional di Pantai Merta Sari. Beach Clean Up ini diselenggarakan dalam rangkaian perayaan Dies Natalis IPB Internasional. Akan tetapi, tidak semua civitas akademika IPB Internasional mengetahui tentang makna praxis Beach Clean Up di Pantai Mertasari. Permasalahannya dipusatkan pada : 1.Bagaimana praktik Beach Clean Up di Pantai Mertasari?.; 2. Mengapa IPBI menyelenggarakan Beach Clean Up di Pantai Mertasari dalam rangka Dies Natalis?.; 3.Apa makna praxis Beach Clean Up di Pantai Mertasari dalam rangka Dies Natalis IPB Internasional?. Artikel ini berhasil diselesaikan berdasarkan penggunaan metode kualitatif. Hasil studi pustaka telah berkontribusi kepada kumpulan data sekunder yang melengkapi keseluruhan data primer selama melakukan observasi partisipasi di Pantai Mertasari. Keseluruhan data dianalisis secara kualitatif intepretatif dengan menggunakan teori praktik dan teori praxis. Hasil menunjukan bahwa : 1) Kerja bakti kolektif memembersihkan sampah Pantai Mertasari dan mendonasikan alat kebersihan; 2) Beach Clean Up diselenggarakan IPBI dalam rangka dies natalis karena kepemimpinan, bentuk dukungan dan komitmen civitas akademika IPBI, masalah sampah yang mendesak di pantai Mertasari, harapan masyarakat sanur kauh, regulasi lingkungan dan pertimbangan relevansi berdasarkan orientasi nilai institusi dan reputasi.; 3) makna praxis Beach Clean Up di Pantai Mertasari adalah terapan nyata dari nilai kultur institusi dan semangat civitas akademika melalui aksi gotong royong membersihkan sampah pantai secara reflektif dan kolaboratif untuk merevitalisasi makna ramah lingkungan dari kegiatan pariwisata dan bisnis di Pantai Mertasari.

This research aims to clarify how agritourism functions within environmental management in Tenganan, Karangasem. Customary environmental zoning primarily serves as a private realm for local cultural practices. Nonetheless, it has been shown that agritourism is incorporated into the zoning of the Tenganan traditional environment. The enquiries are 1) What are the attributes of Tenganan's traditional environmental management practices in Karangasem?; 2) What are the features of agritourism activities in the stewardship of Tenganan's customary environment in Karangasem ?; and 3) Is there cultural tolerance linked to agritourism activities within Tenganan's customary environmet in Karangasem? This study has been conducted utilising qualitative methodologies. Primary data was obtained by observation. Secondary data was acquired through a literature review. All data was analysed qualitatively-interpretatively with semiotics and a decolonization tourism approach. All data were subjected to qualitative analysis utilising a decolonizing tourism approach. The research findings indicate: 1) The Tenganan traditional environment in Karangasem is governed by cultural heritage, natural resources, and the residential areas of the Tenganan community; 2) Walking activities along designated routes amidst the natural ambience of plantations, agriculture, and forests exemplify agritourism within the Tenganan traditional environment; 3) Cultural tolerance exists within the Tenganan traditional environment regarding agritourism activities.

The purpose of this article is to reveal the distinctive characteristics of Panca Maha Bhuta at Fivelements Retreat Hotel Bali. Panca Maha Bhuta is a local wisdom in Balinese culture that is often practiced by Balinese people in Hindu ritual activities. However, there is a Panca Maha Bhuta service intended for guests of Fivelements Retreat Hotel Bali. The problem formulation centers on: 1) What is the form of Panca Maha Bhuta at Fivelements Retreat Hotel Bali?; 2) Is there a nexus of Balinese cultural elements in Panca Maha Bhuta at Fivelements Retreat Hotel Bali?; 3) What is the distinctive form of Panca Maha Bhuta characteristics at Fivelements Retreat Hotel Bali?. This study uses a qualitative method. Observations and interviews with informants at Fivelements Retreat Hotel Bali have been conducted to collect primary data. Literature studies have been useful in searching for secondary data. The totality of data was analyzed qualitatively using the theory of power relations of knowledge and symbol theory. The results of the research are: 1) Panca Maha Bhuta is a special type of health service for guests of the Fivelements Retreat Bali Hotel; 2) There is a nexus of Balinese cultural elements in Panca Maha Bhuta at the Fivelements Retreat Bali Hotel; 3) The distinctive characteristics of Panca Maha Bhuta at the Fivelements Retreat Bali Hotel lie in the representation of Balinese culture in the name of the service package, the Balinese cultural style in the service package protocol components and the operational sensation.
