Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunyai maksud yakni memahami efektifnya aktivitas belajar mengajar dengan model discovery berbantuan GeoGebra dilihat dari kemampuan berfikir kreatif matematika murid. Metode dari penelitian yang dipilih ialah kuantitatif. murid kelas XI SMKN 6 Jember menjadi populasi dalam penelitian. Sampel pada penelitian diambil melalui cara acak yang terdiri dari kelas kontrol serta eksperimen dengan memakai metode cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ialah instrumen berupa pre-test serta post-test untuk memahami kemampuan berfikir kreatif matematika murid. Desain penelitian ialah penelitian kuasi eksperimen, dengan tehnik analisa data yang dipakai ialah uji parametik yakni independent sample t-test. Penelitian mendapatkan hasil jika kemampuan murid meningkat sesudah mengikuti aktivitas belajar mengajar dengan model discovery berbantuan geogebra. Hasil dari nilai post-test dalam kelas ekserimen lebih tinggi dibanding hasil nilai post-test dalam kelas kontrol serta rata-rata nilai N-Gain score dalam kelas eksperimen senilai 68.8% dikategorikan cukup efektif. Dalam kelas kontrol senilai 42.8% dikategorikan kurang efektif. Sehingga bisa diambil simpulan jika aktivitas belajar mengajar dengan model discovery berbantuan GeoGebra efektif dalam peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif murid materi transformasi geometri refleksi. In this study, we will determine GeoGebra-assisted effectiveness discovery teaching and learning activities model in terms of students' creative thinking skills, which integrates the quantitative methods. The research population are class XI students at SMKN 6 Jember, divided into control and experimental class. Sampling using cluster random sampling method. The study data are instruments in the form of post-test and pre-test to determine student creative thinking ability in mathematics. The study results indicate an increase in students using GeoGebra-assisted discovery learning models. The post-test result in the experimental class is greater than the post-test result in the control class. The research design is a quasi-experimental, with data analysis techniques using parametric independent sample t-test. The results of the analysis show that the average N-Gain value in the test class is 68.8%, entered in the category is quite effective. For comparison, the average N-Gain value in the control class is 42.8% which is categorized as less effective. It implies that the implementation of discovery teaching and learning model using GeoGebra effective to improve the students' creative thinking skill on the reflection geometry transformation material.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning is the student’s ability to think logically regarding mathematics problems. The indicators of mathematical reasoning used in this study are presenting statements mathematically, performing mathematical manipulations, compiling the proofs for the truth of solutions, and drawing conclusions from statements presented. This study used qualitative research methods and aims to describe the students' mathematical reasoning abilities for the subject of Three Dimensions, reviewed by their learning independence during Distance Learning. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Pasuruan class XII MIPA 1 for the 2021/2022 academic year. The instruments used in this study are learning independence questionnaires, mathematical reasoning ability tests, and guides for the interview. The results showed that 21 students can be categorized into Medium Level in terms of their learning independence, and 14 students can be categorized into High Level in terms of their learning independence. Students who have medium learning independence showed medium and low mathematical reasoning abilities. Students are able to solve problems by fulfilling two indicators of mathematical reasoning ability. On the other hand, students with high learning independence showed high mathematical reasoning abilities. Students are able to solve problems by fulfilling all indicators of mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students geometry problem solving abilities based on APOS theory in terms of field dependent and field independent cognitive styles. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 4 students of class IX SMPN 1 Jember which were grouped based on cognitive style, namely 2 students with field independent cognitive style and 2 students with field dependent cognitive style. Methods of data collection using problem solving tests and interviews. The results of data analysis show that FD students tend to be able to write and mention information in questions, but still have difficulty in explaining the meaning of the questions. FI students tend to be able to write and explain information on questions. At the process stage, FI and FD students were able to model and explain the stages well, but FD still had errors in changing the shape of the mathematical model correctly. At the object stage, FI students work on questions freely, while FD students work on questions in detail or fixate on structured steps, FD students also have difficulty explaining their work. At the schema stage, FI and FD students can explain how to use the information in the problem, but FD students still experience errors from the process stage to drawing conclusions as a solution. Field independent students tend to be free or not fixated on complete and detailed steps, while field dependent students tend to be bound or fixated on complete and detailed steps.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a valid, practical, and effective interactive learning media assisted by GeoGebra. This study used the Thiagarajan (4-D) model which includes four stages, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The process of the four stages produced an interactive GeoGebra learning media, so students can explore practice questions related to inequalities material independently. The research subjects selected were students of class X Science 2 SMAN Arjasa Jember. The result of this development is a valid interactive learning media assisted by GeoGebra with a very high level of validity, included as practical criteria based on students' scores as media users, and is proven to be effective in improving students' mathematical literacy skills based on the N-Gain from the average pretest and posttest. This interactive learning media assisted by GeoGebra received positive responses from students as an interesting media that support students to understand the material during their sudy.

Abstract

Plastic waste is a major problem faced by Indonesia, especially in big cities which have a high level of activity and density as well as rapid infrastructure development. To overcome this, environmental experts and scientists from various disciplines have conducted various studies and actions. One alternative for handling plastic waste is to carry out a recycling process (recycle) through pyrolysis. This study aims to analyze liquid fuel from the results of pyrolysis of polyethylene plastic waste. This research is an experimental research with a quantitative approach. The data analysis technique used is data analysis using descriptive techniques. The pyrolysis results obtained consisted of Premium Alternative Fuels producing a density of ± 1060 ml, Kerosene Alternative Fuels producing a density of ± 1480 ml and Alternative Diesel Fuels producing a density of ± 1700 ml.

Abstract

GeoGebra yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Model pengembangan yang diterapkan merupakan model Thiagarajan (4D) dengan empat tahap yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perancangan), develop (pengembangan), dan disseminate (penyebaran). Luaran penelitian berupa e-modul yang dapat diakses secara daring di situs web GeoGebra dan secara luring melalui modul berformat pdf atau ggb. Subjek penelitian merupakan peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1 SMAN 2 Tanggul. Berdasarkan hasil pengembangan diperoleh e-modul yang sangat valid dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,85, memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan dengan tingkat cukup praktis ditinjau dari perolehan skor angket respons peserta didik sebesar 76,88%, dan tergolong dalam kategori efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik yang ditinjau dari rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,48. E-modul yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi Transformasi Geometri SMA karena kemudahan dalam mengetahui hasil bayangan objek matematika dari suatu transformasi dan kemudahan dalam mengakses.

Abstract

Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) is one of the approach learning that can used for help student more easy understand and apply draft math on a problem with link things around environment student as well as could increase problem solving abilities students. The aim of this research is to knowing influence from implementation of students’ worksheet based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) towards problem solving abilities students. The research design used is study quasi experiment with use method pretest-posttest non equivalent control group design.Population in this study were class XII students of Vocational Senior High School and the sample selected are calss XII TBSM and XII TKRO.Research results show that students whose learning using students’ worksheet get a higher problem solving ability score than students in other classes who do not use students’ worksheets.

Abstract

Fokus keahlian yang diperlukan dalam pembelajaran matematika abad ke-21 meliputi kemampuan berpikir kritis (critical thingking), kemampuan komunikasi (communication), kreativitas (creativity), dan kerja sama (collaboration). Hal ini akan terwujud apabila siswa memiliki literasi matematikanya baik. Faktanya, literasi matematika siswa di Indonesia masih rendah. Rendahnya literasi matematika siswa di Indonesia disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya self efficacy karena merupakan faktor internal nonkognitif yang berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan literasi matematika siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Jember dengan self efficacy tinggi, sedang, dan rendah dalam menyelesaikan masalah lingkaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode angket, tes, dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket self efficacy, tes literasi matematika, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa level kemampuan literasi matematika dengan self efficacy rendah, sedang, dan tinggi berbeda. Literasi matematika siswa dengan self efficacy rendah pada penelitian ini mencapai level 1 hingga level 3, literasi matematika siswa dengan self efficacy sedang mencapai level 1 hingga level 4, dan literasi matematika siswa dengan self efficacy tinggi mencapai level 4 hingga level 6.   Kata kunci: literasi matematika, lingkaran, self efficacy. Abstract: The focus of 21st century mathematics learning is lies in developing four abilities which include critical thinking skills, communication skills, creativity, and collaboration. This will be achieved if students have good mathematical literacy skills. In fact, students' mathematical literacy skills in Indonesia are low. The low mathematical literacy of students in Indonesia is caused by several factors. One of the factors that need more attention is self-efficacy, it is a non-cognitive internal factor that influence on students' mathematics learning achievement. Therefore, this study aims to describe the mathematical literacy skills of class IX students of SMPN 3 Jember with high, medium, and low self-efficacy in solving circle problems. This study is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Collecting data using questionnaires, tests, and interviews. The instruments used were self-efficacy questionnaires, tests of mathematical literacy skills, and interview guidelines. The results showed that the level of mathematical literacy skills with low, medium, and high self-efficacy were different. In general, the setudents’ mathematical literacy with low self-efficacy reach level 1 to level 3, the students’ mathematical literacy with moderate self-efficacy reach level 1 to level 4, and the students’ mathematical literacy with high self-efficacy reach level 4 up to level 6. Keywords: mathematical literacy, circle, self-efficacy.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Cooperative Learning (PBCL) beserta perangkatnya yang terdiri dari RPP, LKS, dan THB yang valid, praktis, dan efektif kemudian menguji pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa SMP. PBCL adalah hasil modifikasi sintaks PBL dan Cooperative Learning. Adapun sintaks model pembelajaran PBCL adalah mengorientasikan siswa pada masalah, mengorganisasikan siswa ke dalam kelompok-kelompok belajar, mengorganisasikan siswa untuk belajar, membimbing kelompok bekerja dan belajar, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan masalah, dan memberi penghargaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembangan dan dilanjutkan dengan penelitian eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi aktivitas siswa, observasi keterlaksanaan model dan perangkat pembelajaran, angket respon siswa, dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model pembelajaran PBCL beserta perangkatnya memenuhi kriteria sangat valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kepraktisan diperoleh dari hasil observasi keterlaksanaan model dan perangkat pembelajaran. Berdasarkan dari uji t-test diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran PBCL materi persamaan garis terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa.  AbstractThis study is based on the lack of students ability in solving mathematical problem. According to that background, this study is aimed to develop a learning model of Problem Based Cooperative Learning (PBCL) along with the learning kits, RPP, LKS, and THB, in a valid, practical, and effective problem solving format, and to examine its effectiveness towards junior high school students’ ability to solve mathemathical problmes. PBCL is a syntax modification result of PBL and Cooperative learning, itself is orienting students on problem, organizing students into learning groups, organizing students for learning, guiding for working and learning group, analyzing and evaluating problem solving process, and giving appreciation. This study used developing research continued by experiment research. The data collection techniques were an interview, student activity observation, the implementation of a learning model and kit observation, a student response form, and a problem solving ability test. The result of this study showed that the learning model and kits of PBCL fulfill the criteria of being very valid, practical, and effective. According to the T-test experiment, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the PBCL learning model on students’ ability to solve mathematical problems.
