Abstract

Indonesia's multilingual complexity, comprising over 700 regional languages, contrasts sharply with the monolingual bias prevalent in formal primary education. While existing literature explores bilingual classroom dynamics, it often overlooks the systemic friction between national policy and localized implementation. This systematic literature review synthesizes 59 peer-reviewed studies to map how rural and indigenous schools negotiate this pedagogical environment. The findings reveal a structural bifurcation, where remote regions utilize mother tongues for cognitive survival, whereas western regions emphasize cultural preservation. Critically, the analysis identifies widespread organizational decoupling, wherein progressive decentralization policies are undermined by centralized, monolingual assessment metrics. To address this, the study introduces the Multi-Level Ecological-Contextual Model, an evidence-based conceptual blueprint designed to synchronize macro-policy, meso-community, and micro-classroom dimensions. While this framework requires subsequent empirical validation, it provides a novel systemic roadmap for institutionalizing linguistic equity. This review contributes a rigorous mapping of policy-practice decoupling, demonstrating that mother tongue instruction is a fundamental cognitive right rather than a cultural luxury, and establishes a foundation for restructuring primary education toward additive, resource-oriented multilingual frameworks.

Abstract

Hypothetical Subjects in Curriculum Structure for Developing Managerial Competencies in Educational Technology. This study aims to understand better one of instructional technology domain: managing. This topic is critical to be learned for better understanding and to have a proper basic theory for developing a curriculum structure of field study, especially to build management competencies. Then, we could propose an alternative for the improvement of the curriculum that has a theoretical foundation. The study used a qualitative approach by applying the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) method, a critical analysis of the content of discourse objects that are text, gap, and potential aspect may be, and then proposed an alternative for taking action. Results show; first, there are four subdomains for managing instructional technology, with each orientation and characteristics. Second, Seels and Richey's subdomain of managing instructional technology could guide the study program's curriculum structure development. Third, in case of curriculum of Educational Technology Study Program, Faculty of Education, UPI there are gap between theoretical and document. To overcome the gap in developing instructional technology competencies in managing domain, we propose adding at least one relevant course for the primary and holistic foundation of managing aspect in curriculum structure of Educational Technology Program. Keywords: curriculum, educational technology, critical discourse analysis.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v14.i2.202468

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of self-efficacy, academic stress, and academic fatigue on the learning outcomes of students at the University of Jambi. Using a quantitative survey method, data were collected via an online questionnaire distributed to 200 randomly selected students from various faculties. The results indicate that self-efficacy positively affects learning outcomes, while academic stress and academic fatigue have negative effects. The structural model shows significant relationships between academic burnout and learning outcomes (β = 0.698, p < 0.001), academic stress and learning outcomes (β = 0.167, p < 0.001), and self-efficacy and academic stress (β = 0.300, p < 0.001). These findings suggest that students with higher self-efficacy are more capable of managing their time, seeking assistance, and maintaining a positive approach to their studies—skills that help them cope with academic pressures and reduce stress. The study underscores the importance of developing interventions to enhance self-efficacy and reduce academic stress and fatigue, such as psychological counseling, stress management programs, and academic support services. These efforts are essential for improving student performance and well-being. The findings are expected to inform the development of educational programs and student welfare policies at the University of Jambi through strategic institutional planning and policy refinement.
