Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah model pembelajaran ARIAS daapt meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas 8 MTs Negeri Teras Baron Kabupaten nganjuk tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan jumlah sampe sebanyak 24 siswa dari MTs Negeri Termas Baron Kabupaten Nganjuk tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik pengamatan dan catatn lapangan, teknik wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1) menggunakan pendekatan Model pembelajaran ARIAS dapat meningkatkan pemahaman persamaan garis lurus siswa kelas 8; 2) menggunakan pendekatan Model pembelajaran ARIAS, materi persamaan garis lurus lebih tertanam pada ingatan siswa, karena pengertian konsep tersebut diperoleh melalui konsep penemuan sendiri; 3) hasil belajar siswa lebih mengingkat di bandingkan dengan menggunakan pembelajaran tersebut; 4) aktivitas guru dalam memberikan pelajaran dan aktivitas siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran lebih aktif dari sebelumnya.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika dan hasil belajar matematika kelas VIII MTs Negeri 4 Nganjuk, dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran think pare share (TPS). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari empat fase, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes hasil belajar siswa, dan angket untuk menggali data motivasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa dan hasil belajar matematika siswa, dengan bukti prosentase motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus pertama adalah 72,74% menjadi 86,28% siklus kedua. Hasil belajar dari siklus I ketuntasan klasikalnya 65,38% dengan nilai rata-rata siswa 74,04 meningkat menjadi 80,77% dengan rata-rata nilai siswa sebesar 77,31 pada siklus II.

Abstract

The maritime industry, a cornerstone of global trade, relies heavily on effective communication to ensure operational safety and efficiency. English has been established as the lingua franca through the Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCP) by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). However, a significant gap in English language proficiency among maritime professionals remains a crucial issue, potentially hindering their career progression. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the impact of English language proficiency on career opportunities, identify the current level of English proficiency, and determine the factors impeding its acquisition among maritime workers. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the research gathered data through questionnaires from 100 respondents and in-depth interviews with HR managers and seafarers. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation, while qualitative data underwent thematic analysis. Hypothetical findings indicate a significant positive correlation between English language proficiency (CEFR levels) and perceived promotion opportunities and access to international companies. Key barriers identified include a lack of specific maritime English training (English for Specific Purposes), low motivation, and limited access to learning resources while at sea. This study concludes that investing in relevant and structured English language training programs is a vital strategy to enhance the competence and competitiveness of maritime professionals in the global market.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic led to a policy of changing the learning system from offline to online. This policy has an impact on schools in Jayapura City, Papua. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of learning in schools during the pandemic. Data retrieval using the triangulation method with research subjects came from representatives of kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school educators as well as representatives of the al-barakah foundation. The results of this study indicate that the principal in planning learning begins by holding In House Training which discusses the mechanism of implementing learning for one semester. In addition, making standard operating procedures for various activities. The implementation of learning experienced a reduction in teaching time and a reduction in extracurricular activities and other student self-development activities. Furthermore, the evaluation of learning carried out is based on information technology that utilizes the internet network. However, there is a school decision regarding the learning material taught to students in the form of essential material so that some material is not conveyed. This will result in a decrease in the quality of the material conveyed to students and the loss of one of the materials in certain subjects.Keywords: Planning; implementation; evaluation; covid-19 pandemic
