Abstract

Backgrounds: during the Covid-19 pandemic, many parents who had children with cancer experienced anxiety due to changes in their child's care. And if the anxiety is not addressed, parents become unresponsive to their children's needs thus further negatively affect their children's conditionPurpose: this study aims to describe the anxiety of parents who have children with cancer during the Covid-19 pandemic.Methods: this study use descriptive research design and non-probability sampling (consecutive sampling technique) to select 30 respondents. This study also used Corona Pandemic Anxiety Scale-11 item (CPAS-11) questionnaire to collect data and was analyzed using uni-variate analysisResults: the results of the analysis 0f 30 respondents, the majority are in early adulthood (60%), are mothers (76.7%), last education high school (50%), have a child with stage 2 cancer (53.3%), and the length of time the child has suffered is 0-5 years (96.7%). Researchers then found the majority of parents in this study (50%) experienced moderate levels of anxiety, and the majority of parents with severe anxiety levels had children at school age (6-12 years) (25%), had children with 0-5 years of suffering. (17.2%), and having a child with stage 2 cancer (18.8%).Conclusion: most of the parents involved in this study experienced moderate levels of anxiety with various accompanying characteristics. The result of this research can be used as a literature study for nursing students to collaborate with the hospital in developing and finding appropriate interventions to overcome anxiety in parents with children with cancer.

Abstract

Abstract Patient safety is free from incidents that occurred by mistake, or could have been prevented as a result of medical care. The attitude of nurses to report patient safety incidents including near miss is needed to support patient safety program. Attitudes may arise from the knowledge of patient safety. This study aims to determine the relationship between the knowledge of nurses about near miss with the attitude report near miss. This research is a descriptive cross sectional correlative. The samples were nurses in the inpatient unit as much as 89 respondents using accidental sampling. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire consisting of two (2) questionnaire to assess knowledge about near miss and attitude of nurses reported near miss. The analysis used were univariate and bivariate using Chi-Square. The results showed that the p value  1,000 (p value > 0.05) so it was concluded that there was no correlation between the knowledge of nurses about near miss with the attitudes reported near miss. Based on the results of the study are expected for the nurse to increase the knowledge of near miss as well as providing a positive attitude to report near miss.keywords: attitude, knowledge, near miss, patient safety

Abstract

Breast milk ejection is a very complex interaction between stimulation and hormonal regulation. Swedish back massage has become an alternative therapy to increase breast milk production and breast milk ejection. Touching in massage is very important in the stimulation of oxytocin hormone stimulation process. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of Swedish back massage on breast milk ejection. This study was conducted in the Community Health Center in Harapan Raya Pekanbaru by using quasy experiment and non-randomized control group pre-test-post-test. Was taken with purposive sampling for 34 respondents devided into 17 respondents for the experimental group and 17 respondents for the control group. The experiment group intervention gave along 3 days attending to 15 minutes Swedish back massage. Measuring equipment in this study used the indicator sheet that assesses breast milk ejection.Bivariate analyzed by using Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test. The result showed that (p value = 0,021) for experimental group and (p value = 1,000) for controlling group. This result showed us that the Swedish back massage gives a positive effect on breast milk ejection. The swedish back massage of this study is expected to be one of the nursing interventions to increase the breast milk ejection.Key word : Breast milk ejection, massage, oxytocin hormone, swedish back massage

Abstract

Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is an effort to improve coronary artery blood flow by destroying the plaque or atheroma which buried and disturbed the blood flow to the heart. Self Efficacy aims to improve patient’s expectation and quality of life. The  aim of this research is to identify self efficacy patient with Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) after having percutaneous coronary intervention. Descriptive study with cross sectional approach was used with 35 patient selected on inclusion criteria using purpossive sampling technique. Data were collected using cardiac self efficacy (CSE) questionnaire. Univariate analysis was used to describe characteristics of the patient and self efficacy using frequency distribution and percentage. Finding of this study show that the pasient have a good self efficacy for both subscale, with 28 patient (80%) in controlling symptoms and 20 patient (57%) at maintain function. Self efficacy can build patient’s confidence to keep and hold their health behavior to increase quality of life.Keywords: CHD, CSE, PCI, Self Efficacy

Abstract

Diphtheria is an infection caused by the bacterium Corynebacteriumdiphtheria. This study aims to find out the training participation posyandu cadre at Puskesmas Lima Puluh Pekanbaru about diphtheria and its prevention. With a descriptive quantitative research design, 100 respondents as research sample were taken based on the inclusion criteria using cluster sampling technique. Questionnaire was given to participants as measurement tools for demographic data. The analysis used is univariate analysis to determine frequency distribution. The results showed that as many as 66 respondents (66.0%) did not take diphtheria training and 34 respondens (34.0%) attended diphtheria training. It is recommended to health workers to be able to provide more training to cadres about diphtheria and its prevention as the goal of increasing cadre knowledge to be better.Keywords: Cadre, diphtheria, participation, posyandu

Abstract

One of the effort to prevent complications in diabetes mellitus patients is by improving the management of self management behavior for life, including self management related to health care. which influences and increases patients self management and patients self efficacy. The purpose this study is to determine the relationship between self efficacy and self management of patients with diabetes in the working area Puskesmas Harapan Pekanbaru. This research used descriptive correlation research design with a cross sectional approach. The research sample of 72 respondents were taken according to inclusion citeria by using purposive sampling technique. Measuring instruments in this study used a questionnaire. Analysis used is univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using Chi Square. The results of research on relationship of self efficacy and self management are of 39 respondents with high self efficacy 38 people (97,4%) with good self management and only I person with self management is sufficient. While the results for low self efficacy that have good self management there are only 22 people (66,7%) and with sufficient self management there are 11 people (33,3%). Based on the Chi Square result obtained p value = 0,000 < α (0,05) and it can be concluded that there is a relationship between self efficacy and self management in people with diabetes mellitus. Result of this study are recommended for people with diabetes mellitus to more attention to their health all components of self-management in a disclipned manner.Keywords: diabetes mellitus self efficacy, self management

Abstract

The Emergency Room (IGD) in handling the emergency patient has triage system for doing emergency action. Triage is the process which choose the patient according the turbulence level and in the handling the patient become priority. One of the successful factor in handling the emergency case is triage knowledge. This study aims to determine for doing identification of nurses emergency knowledge about triage. This study was doing in the IGD RSUD Arifin Achmad room. This study was used the descriptive research. The sample of this study is nurse in IGD with 31 people thourgh total sampling teachnique. The data was collected with using questionnaire that has been validity and reliability test. This study used descriptive analysis. The result of the study showed that the nurse has a good knowledge as much 51,6%. Based on the result of the research, the researcher give the suggestion to the nurse to improve the quality of emergence services. Keywords: Emergency, IGD, knowledge, nurses, triage

Abstract

Abstract Sleep is one of the basic human needs. Sleep quality is important for health and healing from a illness. Illness can cause many effects to children, one of them is the children have lack of sleep or even can not sleep at all. Sleep disturbance cause various negative effect for children’s growth and development. The aim of this research was to determine sleep quality in children with acute pain. The research used descriptive design. The research was conducted in Public Health Center Simpang Tiga through 144 respondents that taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument was The Children’s Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ) with 16 items consist of 4 domains: bedtime, sleep behavior, waking during the night, and morning waking. Data analisys used univariate to determine characteristic and sleep quality of respondents. The most characteristic respondents were preschool children wich age 3-5 years (52,1%), the most of participants were female (52,1%), the most participants have fever as illness (45,1%). The result of this research represents total sleep quality are disorders (56,9%) wich are bedtime, sleep behavior, waking during the night, and morning waking. Abstract

Stunting is one of the problems in growth. Growth disorders can affect the development of the children. The purpose of this research is to identify the description of development in stunting children. This research used descriptive design. There were 35 respondents chosen by using purposive technique sampling. This research used DDST II as the questionnaire. The result of this research found that the majority of respondent were 21 children (60%) who are in the aged of 12-36 month, the female respondents were 22 children (62.9%), the category of stunting were 29 children (82.9%), the suspect development were 24 children (68.6%). This research is expected help the community, especially for parents, to get information to be able to pay attention and fulfill the child growth needs and measure the growth and development the children everymonth so as to optimize children development. Stunting (pendek) merupakan salah satu masalah dalam pertumbuhan. Gangguan pertumbuhan dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran perkembangan pada anak stunting. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan jumlah responden 35 reponden yang diambil dengan Teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Penelitian ini mengunakan kuesioner DDST II. Hasil penelitian menemukan mayoritas responden berusia 12-36 bulan sebanyak 21 anak (60%), berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 22 anak (62.9%), kategori status gizi stunting sebanyak 29 anak (82.9%), dan sebanyak 24 anak memiliki perkembangan suspect (68.6%). Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi informasi bagi masyarakat khususnya orang tua agar dapat memperhatikan dan memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi anak serta mengukur pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak setiap bulannya sehingga dapat mengoptimalkan perkembangan anak.

Abstract

Forest and land fires in Indonesia on 2019, has caused haze disaster. Pekanbaru City becomes one of the affected regions. The purpose of the study is to analyze the effect of pollutant exposure towards physical and mental health problems of the people. The analysis of physical health effect due to pollutant exposure uses Spearman’s rho correlation. The analysis of mental health effect due to pollutant exposure is analyzed descriptively. Concentration of particulate matter with diameters less than or equal to 10 micrometer reached 374 point (very unhealthy). Spearman’s rho correlation result obtained between AQI and asthma (p = 0,000), acute respiratory infections (p = 0,000), pneumonia (p = 0,005), conjunctivitis (p = 0,000), dermatitis (p = 0,001), and diarrhea (p = 0,002), and it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship betwwen unhealthy air quality with physical health problems. There was no increase in cases of acute stress, anxiety, and PTSD during the haze disaster period
