Abstract

The Citrus Agroedutourism in Samar Village is an effort to optimize local potential by integrating agricultural education with community-based tourism. Despite its strong appeal, this destination faces several challenges, including weak management, limited digital promotion, a shortage of skilled human resources, and inadequate infrastructure. This study aims to analyze the most effective and appropriate development strategies to support sustainable local economic growth. This research adopts a mixed-method approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, documentation, and literature review. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify core themes from participant narratives, which were then mapped into a qualitative SWOT quadrant to formulate context-based development strategies. The findings indicate that Samar Village's main strengths lie in its unique citrus commodity, strong community involvement, and educational tourism appeal. However, weaknesses such as limited expertise, minimal promotion, and financial constraints hinder development. The recommended strategies include human resource training, infrastructure improvement, digital branding enhancement, and multi-stakeholder collaboration involving the village government, BUMDes, and youth organizations. The study concludes that citrus-based agroedutourism has strong potential to serve as a model for sustainable village development that effectively contributes to improving community welfare. These findings offer important managerial implications, including the need for strategic planning based on local potential, institutional capacity building, and the integration of environmental sustainability, community empowerment, and educational tourism promotion.

Abstract

Perubahan iklim berdampak ekstrim pada kegiatan pertanian dan kelangsungan hidup petani kecil, khususnya petani perempuan yang lebih rentan. Akibatnya, diperlukan tindakan untuk mengatasi efek perubahan iklim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi adaptasi dan mitigasi petani perempuan berskala kecil terhadap perubahan iklim. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Sebanyak 25 petani perempuan berskala kecil dipilih sebagai informan. Petani perempuan berskala kecil menggunakan strategi adaptasi seperti adaptasi di lahan pertanian, diversifikasi di luar pertanian, diversifikasi peternakan, pemanfaatan sistem pengetahuan adat (IKS), pemanfaatan modal sosial dan migrasi. Sementara itu, untuk mengurangi risiko atau meminimalisir dampak perubahan iklim, mereka melakukan mitigasi dengan melestarikan tanaman bambu, menanam banyak pohon di sekitar rumah, memanfaatkan bank sampah, menggunakan barang elektronik hemat energi, efisien penggunaan air dan berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian. Implikasi penting dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperkuat partisipasi dan kapasitas petani perempuan petani kecil dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim, memungkinkan mereka untuk mengambil upaya proaktif untuk mengurangi dampak perubahan iklim terhadap kehidupan mereka. Ini juga meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya membantu petani perempuan petani kecil dalam menghadapi perubahan iklim untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan pedesaan.

Abstract

Potensi sampah di RW 09 Kelurahan Merjosari Kota Malang sangat besar, bahkan sampah membuat resahsebagian besar warga yang dekat dengan tempat pembuangan sementara di Jalan Kembar Joyogrand RW09 Kelurahan Merjosari. Padahal sampah memiliki potensi secara finansial atau ekonomi, ekologi, dan sosialjika sampah dikelola secara profesional. Harapan sampah membawa berkah bagi masyarakat RW 09 sangatbesar, sehingga Lab Sosiologi Pertanian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (SP2M) Fakultas PertanianUniversitas Brawijaya berusaha membantu RW 09 Merjosari dalam pengelolaan sampah (baikpendampingan maupun pelatihan). Sehingga tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pelatihanpembuatan kompos dan eco enzyme serta pendampingan pengelolaan sampah secara profesional (minimalterbentuk kelembagaan yang peduli terhadap pengelolaan sampah). Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian iniadalah pelatihan, pendampingan sampah organik menjadi kompos dan eco enzyme yang memiliki nilai jualsecara ekonomi dan ekologi. Hasil pengabdian di RW 09 Merjosari Kota Malang Jatim yaitu antusiasmetinggi dari peserta yang didominasi oleh Ibu-Ibu RW 09 Merjosari karena pembuatan kompos dan ecoenzyme merupakan keterampilan yang baru bagi para peserta. Simpulan dan saran dari pelatihanpendampingan sampah organic (kompos) dan pembuatan eco enzim telah berjalan dengan baik. Ibu-ibuRW 09 Merjosari Kota Malang perlu mengoptimalkan lagi dalam pembuatan eco enzim dengan cara sharingatau diskusi tentang eco enzim dalam setiap pertemuan PKK RW 09 Merjosari Kota Malang. Tindak lanjutdari pelatihan dan pendampingan ini adalah peserta pelatihan membuat kompos dan eco enzyme padaskala rumah tangga.

Abstract

The role of youth in agricultural development is very important, but youth who are interested in agriculture tend to decrease every year. Youth in Karangan Village consider farming to be an unprofitable profession. They consider the economics of agricultural products to be very low so that most of them are not interested in agricultural activities. Therefore, the number of farmers decreases every year. So efforts to increase the interest of the younger generation to be involved in the agriculture sector. Motivational factors are needed to encourage someone to want to do something, and the motivational factor in question is interest. There are several factors that determine a person’s interest. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence youth interest in agriculture. This research was conducted on youth from Karangan Village, Kepohbaru District, Bojonegoro Regency, with 88 respondents from a total population of 785. Observation and questionnaires are techniques used by researchers to collect data. This research is quantitative research with data analysis using the SEM PLS method. This research uses 3 independent variables, namely individual characteristics (age, education, family), external factors (training and counseling, availability of natural resources, government support), and motivational factors (rewards, achievement, life demands) on the dependent variable, namely youth interest (enjoyment, involvement, interest). Factors that influence youth interest based on the result of the analysis are age, family, availability of natural resources, life demands and involvement.

Abstract

Mastery of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has a significant role in developing the agricultural sector, especially in increasing efficiency and productivity. This research aims to investigate the influence of ICT mastery on shallot farming in Bareng Village, Bojonegoro Regency. Through a quantitative approach and collecting primary and secondary data from 93 respondents, multiple regression analysis shows that mastery of ICT makes a positive and significant contribution to agricultural development. Apart from that, factors such as the amount of fertilizer and type of seed also influence production. This study highlights the importance of integrating ICT in agricultural practices to increase efficiency, optimize production and strengthen the competitiveness of agricultural products in the global market. The results of this research provide important insights for policy makers, farmers and other stakeholders in understanding the role of ICT in facing challenges and exploiting opportunities in agricultural development.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and rapid population growth, waste management poses significant challenges to public health and environmental sustainability. This study focuses on the implementation of the Waste Bank in Sukowati Village, Bojonegoro District, as an innovative solution to tackle waste issues by transforming it into a valuable resource. Utilizing qualitative and descriptive approaches, the research examines the roles and strategies of RT 13 residents in Sukowati Village in managing the Waste Bank, encompassing the collection, sorting, and structured management of waste. Findings reveal that the Waste Bank not only facilitates more efficient waste management but also enhances environmental awareness and provides economic benefits to the community. Structured management, community education, and empowerment through collaboration among residents and with relevant stakeholders have proven effective in creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment. This study underscores the importance of active community participation and sustainable practices in waste management. Abstrak Dalam era globalisasi dan pertumbuhan populasi yang cepat, pengelolaan sampah menjadi tantangan besar bagi kesehatan publik dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Studi ini berfokus pada implementasi Bank Sampah di Desa Sukowati, Kabupaten Bojonegoro, sebagai inovasi untuk mengatasi permasalahan sampah dengan mengubahnya menjadi sumber daya yang bernilai. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan deskriptif, penelitian ini meneliti peran dan strategi warga RT 13 Desa Sukowati dalam pengelolaan Bank Sampah, termasuk pengumpulan, pemilahan, dan pengelolaan sampah secara terstruktur. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Bank Sampah tidak hanya membantu dalam pengelolaan sampah yang lebih efisien, tetapi juga meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan memberikan manfaat ekonomi bagi masyarakat. Pengelolaan yang terstruktur, edukasi masyarakat, dan pemberdayaan komunitas melalui kerja sama antar warga dan dengan pihak terkait, terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih bersih, sehat, dan berkelanjutan. Studi ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya partisipasi aktif masyarakat dan praktik berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan sampah.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 menjadi permasalahan yang serius karena tidak hanya berdampak bagi kesehatan tetapi juga memberikan dampak bagi sektor ekonomi. Salah satunya adalah pada Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) yang menjadi topangan perekonomian Indonesia. Beberapa dampak yang dihadapi oleh UMKM pada saat pandemi COVID-19 terjadi antara lain adalah penurunan penjualan, terbatasnya pasokan bahan baku, kesulitan membayar pinjaman, dan PHK Kayawan. Sehingga untuk merespons adanya dampak dari pandemi COVID-19 UMKM harus mampu melewati situasi sulit tersebut supaya dapat melanjutkan usahanya. Upaya UMKM untuk bertahan dalam situasi sulit dan terpuruk ini disebut juga dengan resiliensi. Sehingga penelitian mengenai resiliensi UMKM dari dampak Pandemi COVID-19 perlu dilakukan untuk melihat bagaimana proses UMKM untuk dapat beresiliensi di era Pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian dilakukan pada 3 level usaha dengan produk olahan tahu. Teknik penentuan informan dilakukan secara purposive pada pemilik UMKM Tahu di Kecamatan Ngasem Kabupaten Kediri. Teknik analisis yang digunakan menggunakan teknik Miles and Huberman. Berdasarkan dari penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat 3 faktor yang mendorong UMKM Tahu Kecamatan Ngasem untuk resiliensi dari dampak pandemi COVID-19. Ketiga faktor tersebut adalah dukungan sosial ( I have), kekuatan pribadi (I am), dan kemampuan untuk melakukan (I can). Keywords : Resiliensi, UMKM, Covid-19.

Abstract

Climate change is a major factor that can threaten sustainable food production, and efforts have been put in place to prevent potential food shortages in the future. One of the mitigations and adaptations carried out by farmers in Wates District, Blitar Regency is adopting greenhouse technology in melon cultivation. This research was conducted to analyze the process of adoption of greenhouse innovations in melon cultivation in Wates District, Blitar Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data were collected by observation, in-depth interviews, documentation and literature studies using purposive sampling techniques to determine informants and snowball sampling to determine supporting informants. The result of this research is that the greenhouse innovation in melon cultivation has been successfully adopted from the knowledge stage to the confirmation stage, because it is considered according to the needs of farmers. The word-of-mouth system is a system for disseminating initial information. It is also known that Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube are the communication channels used to disseminate greenhouse innovations. Farmers' ability to use greenhouses influences their view of innovation characteristics.

Abstract

The vulnerability caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in Wonorejo Village has an impact on decreasing the income of the villagers, who are mostly farmers. The agricultural commodity developed is pameling avocado. PT Pameling Agro Nusantara is one of the facilitators who develops pameling avocados. In addition to generating profits, this partnership also has the aim of bringing prosperity to the pameling avocado farming community, especially in Wonorejo Village. The aims of this research are 1) to describe the pattern of partnership that exists between PT Pameling Agro Nusantara and the farmers, 2) to explain PT Pameling Agro Nusantara's strategy to gain partner farmers, 3) to analyze the partnership process between PT Pameling Agro Nusantara and thefarmers. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study as the research design. The results showed that the partnership pattern between PT Pameling Agro Nusantara and the seed-raising farmers and cultivating partner farmers in Andonosari village was agribusiness operational cooperation, while the partnership that was established with the cultivating farmers in Wonorejo Village was a general trading pattern. The company got partner farmers in two ways, namely both bottom-up and top-down socialization. The partnership process was established by considering the rights and obligations of each party. This article is useful for readers to know the pattern of partnerships between the company and farmers, specifically, this article can be used as an analysis material by PT Pameling Agro Nusantara to improve its partnership system.

Abstract

Sustainable Food Home Area (KRPL) is a household-based food security initiative program. The use of yard land through KRPL activities has been carried out since 2010, encouraging the community to meet its food consumption needs independently and support household-scale food security. In some locations, KRPL activities have not reached their full potential, limiting the achievement of the program's objectives. This study was conducted to analyze the influence of internal and external factors on the success of KRPL activities among KRPL participants. Respondents were selected using a saturated sample, namely 22 women farmers who participated in KRPL activities in Getas Village, Tanjunganom District. Data analysis was conducted using ordinal logistic regression with the aid of SPSS 30 software. The study's results indicated that age in the range of ≤40 years, a time expenditure of 1.5-3 hours/day, and POMOSDA support fall into the medium category, which affects the success of KRPL activities in Getas Village. Spending 1.5–3 hours/day is the factor with the strongest influence, with an opportunity ratio value of (-12,316) = 4,485. This research is beneficial for women farmers who participate in KRPL activities because women farmers can determine the success of KRPL activities, and further guidance needs to be provided to determine the sustainability and implementation of yard land management systems obtained from extension workers (the government) and POMOSDA (the private sector) to face food security challenges, especially at the household scale.
