ABSTRACTLibrary catalogue is challenged by the development of web technology that produce search engines dan also has change users’ interaction with information in this Web 2.0 enviroment. Users expect to participate and collaborate in the creation of information. This study aims to create a prototype of next generation OPAC which will use users’ contribution as an enrichment to OPAC. Users can contribute information to existing bibliographic record with tagging, rating and comment. Prototype was created using Drupal 7 and tested using Black Box method. Testing results shows that this prototype can fufill all functional requirements.Keywords: next generation OPAC, Web 2.0, Library 2.0, tagging, rating, review.

ABSTRACTInformation literacy is defined more than just using technology to obtain information such as the use of internet and e-book, or library user education that have become one of public service in a library. Information literacy skills need to be supported by another skill, one of which is digital literacy skill. This study aimed to identify information literacy skills using information technology and digital literacy skills referring to standard conditions and objectives that have been implemented in learning activities. Descriptive approach which refers to the TRAILS (Tool for Real-time Assessment of Literacy Skills) and SPCLC digital literacy standards used as a method in this study. We investigated the digital literacy skills and the information literacy skills of students from two elementary school in Jakarta. The result showed that the digital literacy skills of the students did not affect to their information literacy skills. Therefor, we recommend to conduct curriculum development which integrate information literacy subject in activities of learning by using computer and internet.Keywords : Information literacy, digital literacy, recommendations for curriculum development.

Creating a university library’s website needs to pay attention to usability aspect as a key of success and also as a user requirement for a website existence. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze what problem would user facing and also giving a recommendation for maintenance in website’s interface to become more user-friendly. In this research, we did usability test to Universitas Mercu Buana library’s website using cognitive walkthrough method. A Cognitive walkthrough is a method to test usability where tester does series of task scenario to reach its goal. Usability test component covers effectiveness and efficiency. The result of this testing shows that the rate of finished task scenario from respondent are 90%. The Margin of error in this task scenario are from downloading from ProQuest database article. The average time for respondent completes all the task scenario is 680 seconds. The problem that users facing when using the website are finding book title, downloading thesis, finding journal title, finding article title, and downloading article from ProQuest database. the improvement this website need are adding the new search filter for ProQuest database article, the search box should be on every web pages, collection availability status should be showing in the search result without clicking title or call number, and term naming should be relevant to the content.Keywords: Cognitive Walkthrough, Library Website, Usability, Usability Testing, Website

The study aims to usability analysis the National Library of Indonesia home page based the results of Paramjeet and Gupta research. The method used was think-aloud. In this method, one user was observed when doing the assignment and asked to express choices, feelings, or thoughts when testing the website. There are seven phases in this method, i.e 1) literature study of usability, usability testing and think- aloud, 2) self-evaluation of the home page of National Library of Indonesia website, conducted by comparing the results of Paramjeet and Gupta study, 3) determination of assessment parameters, 4) determination of the number and criteria of the respondents, 5) analysis of home page usability by the respondents, 6) analysis of the results, conducted based on the respondent transcripts, and 7) recommendations. There were ten respondents, with medium internet literacy skill. They expressed their thoughts and feelings when testing the home page. There were criteria used in the assessment :1) the main features consist of logo and name of organization, about us, contact us, and archive and archiving; 2)URL (Uniform Resources Locator); 3) window title; 4) date and time; 5) writing content; 6) navigation; 7) search; 8) graphic and animation.Based on the analysis, it shows that home page of the National Library of Indonesia website needs to be improved. The improvements needed are: the addition of about us feature on the main menu; contact us becomes part of about us in the main menu; the results of the archive and archiving is in the form of title, in order to facilitate the information retrieval; the moving boxes in the navigation are replaced with fixed boxes using different colors with the color news; the search is equipped with advanced search, and graphics and animation should also be improved not only as a home page ornament.Keywords :National Library of Indonesia, think-aloud, usability.

Information and communication technology (ICT) has been implemented in almost every division at the National Library. This implementation is supported by Undang-Undang Nomor 43 tentang Perpustakaan. The aim of using ICT is to improve working performance and services of National Library. Pusat Pendidikan dan Pelatihan (Pusdiklat) is one of divisions that has not fully implemented ICT yet to increase the training quality and quantity, therefore management information system is required to support decision making related to the training. This research objective is to design a management information system using enterprise architecture framework, TOGAF. TOGAF provides a flexible framework to accommodate management information system design according to the organization’s vision, mission and goals. This research yielded a blueprint of management information system of training’s program and evaluation. It is expected that this blueprint could be used to guide the development of management information system in Pusdiklat.Keyword: Enterprise Architecture Framework, Management Information System, TOGAF, UML

Government and public service systems in the E-Government era are demanded to be transparent, effective, efficient, accountable and useful in society. These are the challenges that has to be faced by government institutions in conducting their functions. The rapid advance of information and communications technology opens the opportunity in accessing, processing and using the information fast and accurately. This research aims to analyze customer satisfaction towards Information and Documentation Management Officer (IDMO) Perpusnas RI website quality (http://ppid.perpusnas.go.id/). Electronic service quality model used in this research is NetQual (Bressolles, 2006) consisting of 18 variables representing five dimensions of service quality, namely information, ease of use, design, reliability, dan privacy/security. This research used quantitative descriptive approach supported with survey of 48 respondents who have accessed PPID Perpusnas RI website. This research used two methods in analyzing data, customer satisfaction index and importance performance analysis. The result indicated that overall user was not satistified with PPID Perpusnas RI website, with customer satisfaction index 39,71 % (very poor). It is also parallel with analysis result of importance performance rate whose gap ranges from -015 to -1,23 with average total score is -0,85. It could be concluded that customer respondents generally has not satisfied with the quality of PPID Perpusnas RI website.Keywords: Customer Satisfaction Index, Importance Performance Analysis, NetQual, PPID, Public Information, Website Quality

AbstractLibrary catalogues are used to search collections and simplify the retrieval process. Currently, most library catalogues have built in the online form known as the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). The OPAC interface is important because it plays as a medium for connecting people with applications or systems. The interface can determine theeffectiveness and efficiency of the software. It analyzed by usability testing. The usability testing has not been conducted on Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS) OPAC interface. This research aims to analyze the usability of the SLiMS's OPAC interface at the Library of Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB Library).The research conducted by Checklist and Think Aloud method. AbstractIndonesian Center for Agricultural Library and Technology Dissemination (ICALTD), as an institution library, has a function in providing information for supporting research and development in agriculture. Information technology has been used for supporting many library services at ICALTD. However, the implementation has not referred to a comprehensive and integrated strategic planning. A good strategic planning of information technology has an impact to the successful of utilizing information technology in the library. Therefore, this research aims to develop a strategic plan of IT-based library services at ICALTD based on the IT-IL V3 framework. The strategic assessment was conducted to analyze the external and internal factors through user surveys and interviews. The respondents were selected based on the organizational structure using SWOT analysis. Moreover, the survey results were analyzed using importance performance analysis (IPA) and user satisfaction index methods. In this research, several objectiveswas determined based on the importance and performance matrix diagram and the internal analysis results. In addition, this research recommended some improvements such as: 1) developing online catalog; 2) improving the library website; 3) developing library collections; 4) conducting user training for improving electronic services and 5) increasing access to internet. K-mer frequencies are commonly used in extracting features from metagenome fragments. In spite of this, researchers have found that their use is still inefficient. In this research, a genetic algorithm was employed to find optimally spaced k-mers. These were obtained by generating the possible combinations of match positions and don't care positions (written as *). This approach was adopted from the concept of spaced seeds in PatternHunter. The use of spaced k-mers could reduce the size of the k-mer frequency feature's dimension. To measure the accuracy of the proposed method we used the naÃ¯ve Bayesian classifier (NBC). The result showed that the chromosome 111111110001, representing spaced k-mer model [111 1111 10001], was the best chromosome, with a higher fitness (85.42) than that of the k-mer frequency feature. Moreover, the proposed approach also reduced the feature extraction time.

Penyakit Alzheimer merupakan penyakit neurodegeneratif yang paling umum terjadi. Kajian ini bertujuan melakukan analisis protein-protein interaction (PPI) yang dapat memberikan pemahaman lebih baik terhadap penyakit neurodegeneratif dan bisa digunakan untuk menemukan protein yang memiliki peran signifikan pada penyakit Alzheimer. Data PPI diperoleh dari eksperimen dan prediksi komputasional. PPI dapat dianalisis menggunakan centrality measures. Metode Top-k RSP digunakan untuk menemukan protein signifikan dengan menggunakan aturan dominansi dan digunakan pada sumber data interaksi eksperimen dan eksperimen+prediksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa APP dan PSEN1 merupakan protein signifikan untuk penyakit Alzheimer. Selain itu, kedua sumber data (eksperimen+prediksi) dan algoritme Top-k RSP terbukti dapat digunakan untuk analisis PPI dari penyakit Alzheimer.
